Memories of Aden Winners

Here are summarizes of the winning stories. Due to the length and personal information provided, we decide to sum up the stories instead of posting them in their entirety.

xNirvana - Chronos: xNirvana is a player from Greece who met his best friend (DivineBlade) back in 2007 on Lionna Server. Their friendship flourished and they became as close as brothers. After moving to a new server and joining a new clan, they met a girl, DivineBlade and her fell in love. She was Portugal and DivineBlade from USA. Their relationship grew and in time, they were married. xNirvana was unable to attend the wedding due to the distance but soon after received a DVD of the wedding, where DivineBlade thanks him for convincing him to move servers and join their clan.

Miusha - Shilen: This story is about Miusha, her husband and their 2 children. Miusha has been playing Lineage II since 2001. In 2008, she joined a new clan where she met her husband. Due to the distance between them and the arrival of their first child, they endured some hard times but overcame them. In 2013 they welcomed their second child and future Lineage II player.

PolarrBearr - Chronos: PolarrBearr did not start off as a fan of Lineage II, mostly because of the time her husband would spend in game and not with her. She decided to troll him in-game in efforts to make him quit the game. She creates her character and plays for weeks, learning Lineage II and making friends as she goes along. PolarrBearr finally catches up to him in game and begins accusing him of being a bot and kills him. The rage in the next room confirms its working. The more time she'd spend playing Lineage II, the more she fell in love with it. One day she gets a party request from a newbie healer, the healer is low level and isn't very good but they continue to party up for weeks. PolarrBearr finally realizes that her husband hasn't played his character for weeks and decides to walk over while he's playing. She leans over and see's the newbie healer, it was her husband all along. They still play Lineage II together to this day.

Nightskye - Naia: NightSkye has been playing Lineage II since 2004. In 2006 his life would change forever when a friend convinced him to come back and play. He’s made a lot of close friends through Lineage II but none more important than his fiancé. They met and fell in love in-game even though they lived 1,300 miles away from each other. Through hard times and great times, Lineage II remained a part of their lives. They’re still playing Lineage II today, with their newborn baby daughter.

Nikami - Chronos: In 2006, Nikami started playing because a few friends had started playing Lineage II after Star Wars Galaxies had shut down. A few months after taking on new clan members Nikami noticed he clicked with Marribeth, a relationship quickly formed. They maintained a relationship online and visited each other whenever they could. Nikami, being in active military service was sent to England. This seemed like the end but Marribeth flew over to visit him, where he proposed to her. They're now married, still playing Lineage II.

Thanks for this nice event. My entry didn't make it to the top 5 :( but this event was a nice chance to search and find for all those screenshots I took all those years I play this game. Brought back so many memories.

I will have to agree with some of the comments but I guess it all depends on the sponsors taste.

I'm desperately using Lineage II as a means of getting laid but it doesn't seem to work that much.

I think this is the right place to mention it, as many of you might now already, I am giving a tribute to this game, recording violin recordings of the ingame music. An artistic side of the game that I wanted to immortalize with music.

I don't know if it happens to you, but when I hear some of the songs (well most of them actually), it comes into my mind memories of game play moments, battles, grinding, etcetc. It is actually nice, as I remember it with joy, same happens with the Ultima Online game music, reason why I started recorded those songs as well hehe...

Ye ye, 2001, 1550, 1975... Only thing that counts is my story, not when i started L2... I was sure about 2001, but whatever ,it was loooong time ago and is really hard to remember exactly...

I was thinking the same thing, this is L2, a PvP oriented game, not e-harmony. But hey, maybe exchanging dating profiles is a new NC coin service in the work's ! :p

My entry was written in a roleplay fashion, I thought it was a bit original since RPing isn't really a thing these days, and the winning stories look like they were taken from a dating Sims...
Well nvm, gz to the winners, next time NC should really specify which kind of stories they want to judge tho.

I can confirm the game was up in 2001... I was inside one of those 9/11 airplanes playing on my alienware laptop using my 4g connection, we were raiding valakas, then a clannie said "dude, I see ur plane on TV, u're about to crash into WTC", I said "thx dude", jumped the plane and survived

man this game is dead, is for sure a game sustained by housewifes who likes to wear a fashion cloak or a fashion head accessory than the better stuff but ugly on their opinion.

Your reward was actually distributed yesterday. All the rewards for the contest winners who have replied to us have been distributed. The first group that responded got theirs on Wednesday afternoon, and the second group of winners that responded got theirs yesterday afternoon.

It's in your warehouse, BTW. If you check your warehouse, you should find it there waiting for you.

Probably yes. They deleted my post twice and with the second deletion they also banned my forum account:) They couldn't stand the fact that everything I said, about how this contest promotes the game as being a dating application, was so true and that it might influence others into thinking so. The problem for you, NCWest, is that with this contest you've organized, everyone now thinks the same. So many people say they've contributed stories involving game experiences and you've selected only entries that said how this game is great for hooking up if you are single.
Oh and the reason offered for the ban was how RUDE I was towards NCWest. RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGHT.
If only the fans could pool the money they invest in this game + any other money they could find and buy this once great game from your grimy little claws. L2 deserves to be saved from the sure way of death on which it is now, a way on which you insist to keep it.

Gratz to all... move along now and let them enjoy their victories.
