cool trailer hope to see more :D. Correct me if I'm wrong but it would make sense to post the patch notes now then a day or two before the update cause it gives us players more time to prepare our selves for this update
Ncsoft dont have path note yet, they will get it 1 days before published.... ppl still think american ncsoft can something, since they just translate (path note is translated in korean ncsoft) the game.. Game belong to korean developer, all money fron l2store is for korean ncsoft... all events/ ban wave/ anti-bots, everything what is alive in l2 is made by korean ncsoft, here GM getting only ready file to make system/upload/update.zr : ))) i dont know for what this forum even exist..

Yea, I remember reading something about how they wanted to make the ertheia inviting or something and they used the elves as a base in a way because they most reflected it... or something... I am prob wrong but yea thats prob why the village looks similar

That's because the English voices are just dubbed in, the original was in Korean, thats why it doesn't quite sync up.
It's not just the out-of-sync parts. It's the English voice acting as a whole that's really bad. It also sounds like the original Korean voices remained in some areas, like the battle cries.

Na, just trying to find ways how to fight etheria back in pvp, and I guess close range battles will be difficult. ;)
So far, from certain PTS, which everyone knows, but noone is talking about, all I can say about it is (For eviscerator only):
any ranged class in pain in butt if you don't have max run speed, they will kite you all day long with your lol range rushes, longest is ~500-600 range in i remember correctly, also you have ranged slow at range of 600, which may or may not help
Tank will stunt lock you for good, there is no winning against them (at least I haven't found a way with 99 Eviscerator on bloody set)
Some have problem with classes that use UE, but I personally find Othell classes easy to kill, while Yul's can kite all day long, which kinda sucks
Tyrrs are easy pray, you have self-buff, that can pwn any of their self-buffs like they are nothing, so far I was able to take Tyrr Titan head on and win no sweat
ISS in open-field are 50/50 case, but better be avoided, or it will be **** time for you
Healers and feohs are childs play, in mass pvp healer has to choose, either you wipe the floor with him, or your pty wipe the floor with healers party
You have buff called Weaving (atleast I think this is how it translates from Russian, I might be wrong, as I translate RU->LTU->ENG in my head) which blocks one debuff, has low duration, but low re-use time as well, and I would recommend spamming this skill in PvP a lot.

Giants wanted to capture and subjugate the free-flying creatures, but as soon as an arteia was locked up in a cage, it quickly lost its strength and died. Giants were left with no choice but to allow the arteias to fly free. The arteias visited the city of giants to give them news from other parts of the world.

The playable Ertheias are all female and don't have real wings - the wings you see are actually a cloak (http://boards.rochand.com/viewtopic.php?f=52&t=1136&p=26766&hilit=ertheia+cloak#p26761).
That's because the playable race is truthfully made of half-Ertheias - a product of intercourse between Orcs and full-blooded Ertheias (the so-called Spikenard Ertheias).
The child you see fleeing from the dark monsters in the extended trailer, with huge ears, is actually a Spikenard Ertheia child - yes, she's a pedo bait. xD
Keep in mind that not all Spikenard Ertheias are female, only the half-blood children are.

The Artheias (if i remember correctly, that is how they used to name the race now named Ertheias) are one of the races created by the gods, and appear in the earlier lore of Lineage II.
It is the race created by the god of winds, Shaya, one of the children of Einhasad (Creation) and Gran Kain (Destruction).
They are the only race that the Giants give up of enslaving, just because the Artheias died easilly when not free.
Later the Artheias and the Giants reached an agreement: the Giants let them live in peace, while the Artheias informed the Giants of all that was hapening in the world, like a news or inteligence service!
Ertheias come from the original lore. If we have to complain about a race, complain about the Kamaels, they were retconned into the lore.

Tif's right, when they first announced a new race was coming but being secretive about it, but with leaked concept art all over, so we knew the Kameal's had wings we all thought the Kameal's were going to be Arteia's, or Ertheia's as they wound up being called. So you already got your added in "cool" race, this one actually comes from the lore.

Actually had their landrates increased at start, and later a bit nerfed.
My b grade berzerker was disarming ppl 80+.
The buffstealer was able to steal the last 5 buffs on ppl. Later nerfed by having buffs resist the skill.
There was something with the crossbow debuff too, but I never played one, so I'm not sure if it was nerfed.
by the lore of the game, the half spiculas was the most powerfull warriors on earth, thats why they balance the gods war.
this is the same reason why archer kamael one shot ppl, and doombringer was able to stun like 20 toons at same time, they were made to be absolute on combat, but the new dev didnt knew about and **** the game with awakening sh*t. ncwest made a event about text or something year ago, i talk about that, and the text who won the event was about l2 fashion style kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk
It was hilariously underpowered. :) It was a clear indicator that the new developers had no idea what they were doing.
Nah, they were OP right off the bat just like Smittie said, the reason people didn't realize it right away was because most rolled the most underpowered thinking it would be the best, the trickster. On org Bartz the first two that rolled the other two, Bangkok and XBellial made it highly apparent they were OP, once they were in A grade they started PvPing with them and were ****** much better geared and higher leveled people. Everyone else just scrambled to re roll those two classes.
The soul consumption requirement system on almost every skill made it complete crap on it's introduction, they took that off and it became a whole diferent classes.
Meh, it was only annoying until you hit level 5, after that you auto stored souls as you hunted, and you got bottles to store souls for PvP so you didn't have to worry about the collection timer, besides the players in KR complained about it enough that that was patched out before the HB update even.

Nothing is more permanent than temporary solutions.
Also, I bet any sum of money on two things:
1. Client will still contain a rootkit.
2. L2store button still don't remember it's pace and reset with each client restart.

Like I said, Bangkok and Bellie were owning pretty much from day one, they just got stronger as updates favored them, the nuker was good right away in 1 vs. 1, and the doombringer had its UD's that helped it out. The heal reduction was never really well thought out, it was supposed to be because they were dark based skill wise, but the KR complained about that as well and I remember that getting wiped out in a patch before GoD even as well, my memory could be wrong on that, just what I remember.
Like I said, I think the biggest thing was in that first wave that people rolled Kameal's, just about everyone rolled a trickster because the other archers were OPed at the time, and it turned out they should have rolled the other two classes and gave up. Have to remember rolling a class back then still took some time, top level was 80, getting something all the way to A grade and up and finding out you made a mistake was pretty brutal, most never bothered to roll one again.
I agree they really became OPed later down the road though, especially the doombringer's. They were Sephiroth personified as you said someplace else. :p

Let's just leave it at some of us had issues dealing with the kamael and some of us didn't and some of us didn't care and move on back to the Arteia.
Eh, was just showing his premise was wrong, those two doombringers played for opposing sides, the top two sides, so they were facing people with the best resist jewels, nevermind the fact that TW jewels became available to everyone and they had no problems terrorizing their opposition.

Doombringers were OP just based on disarm alone, then when you factor in the Sword Shield UD, plus the Body Reconstruction, you could kill near anyone 1v1.

Doombringers were annoying, but not game destroying. A great player with gear on a soul hound was unstoppable at points and completely game breaking. Tricksters were also the best archer in the game that could fit into any party. Retail never embraced the kamaels very well mostly only having people that were unhappy with their performance on their old main character or people that were recently banned that rerolled to them. The best party for the updates with kamaels was actually this:

But to be honest this fairy tail is getting crazy. :) I'm translating it to my mother tongue and the only one bad thing that I can say is that who ever wrote the lore is not familiar with the text structure and sentence syntax. The one thing i can't stand is ppl disrespecting juji and vali they know what they are doing and sure they mistakes to just like the rest of us do if it's was as bad as ppl say it is l2 would have shut down ages ago and this update wouldn't be happenning as for me i think they do a great job. sure there's gonna be a few bugs to workout in this new update but that's expected no update will be perfict unless they are given the time to make it that way and now i find myself defending 2 ppl that i never even met and the rest of the Ncsoft team which is not a problem. I consider them as a friend

There are other lore pages besides the legacy site, NC just for whatever reason doesn't combine them. Plus there is a lot of lore in the quests and the texts pop ups there that players just click past as fast as possible, some of which is now lost with quests removed and broken.

It's exactly as you said. The Ertheias didn't want to take a stance, especially against their Orc parents, therefore they removed themselves completely from the racial wars by going into hiding.

Agreed, though I plan on making an Eviscerator as my main, been trying to gather gear but since I haven't played like at all in the past while, my lack of pricing knowledge is my downfall on getting good deals
It's exactly as you said. The Ertheias didn't want to take a stance, especially against their Orc parents, therefore they removed themselves completely from the racial wars by going into hiding.
In short:
When approached by the Elves to help them in the war against the Orcs, the Half-Ertheias refused to fight against their parents, whereas the fascist-militaristic Spikenard Ertheias were fully for exterminating those ugly brutes. This led to an internal conflict among the Ertheias, between Halfs and Spikenards. On the brink of civil war, King Zephyron, a Spikenard Ertheia whom you will find mentioned again in the lvl 85 class change quest (http://boards.rochand.com/viewtopic.php?f=33&t=1179&start=20#p24541), decided to lead the Ertheias into exile, hiding in the Wind Spirit Realm, thus removing the issue of whether or not they should fight against the Orcs from their internal discussions.
Serenia, the current Queen, is a Half-Ertheia and not accepted by the Spikenards who want to set up the Spikenard mage Benir Dekan as King. Conflict ensued, but then the Ertheias dropped into our world and at present Dekan is away heading the Ertheia Diplomatic Mission to Aden (you will learn about this in the 1st and 2nd class change quest). Now everybody is busy with other things and the internal conflict is defused :)
But if Spikenard Ertheias think that Orcs are brutes, it doesn't make sense that they produced children with said brutes!
Spikenard society, i.e. the original Ertheias, is male-dominated. There is King Zephyron, Head Priest Kerenios, Benir Dekan. The only female Spikenard that plays any role is Epir Dekan, Benir's daughter, who is helping Kain van Halter in the lvl 85 class change quest. Even if it doesn't say so explicitly in the lore, I could imagine that the Spikenard hatred against the Orcs has something to do with them "stealing their women", a kind of jealousy. And the internal conflict between Spikenards and Halfs, the former not willing to accept a Half-Ertheia Queen, also seems to have something to do with "those honorless girls having had out-of-race relationships", the girls having been attracted to big strong Orc males as a nice contrast to the skinny, flighty Spikenards :D
Yes! It is available, keep pressing F5 on the main L2 site and it will eventually appear! The faster you press it the higher the chance that you will eventually see it.

Lineage II is the only game that gives you patch notes 3 days after an expansion is released.
Way back in the day they actually used to bring up test servers for players to play on, which were, honestly, some of the biggest perks of playing the game. To the point of almost leaving the live servers completely empty, it was truly a giant pvp fest ***********. I enjoyed every minute of it.

dont see anything worthwhile here...the new talisman could cost 100+billion adena depending on odds so thats out of the question for what it gives. new bracelet looks interesting but will probably take 2 years to make it worthwhile....so waste of time. new dyes, might be interesting but doubt they will make a big difference. new class is only thing interesting but not my cup of tea.

That's right, be prepared for final removal of lvl cap in the next update which is called Infinite Odyssey for a reason: imagine yourself slowly leveling to 101... then to 102... decade by decade... century after century... and then a few thousands years later (if you live that long, that is) you'll find out some bots are many light years ahead of you. :p
There has to be a "minimum price" for each item/scroll/supplies and everything else, cause ***kin bots are grinding too much and get way to much stuff, which they are selling'em in AH for very cheap prices.
So if i manage to craft or find on drop good weapon/item etc and i want to get some cash for it-> mission impossible, already 10+ same items on half price....
Bots are ruining AH idea... :(

Fixed an issue where player would knockdown their own character with Earth Tremor skill.

I wish there was a reliable archive of the quest dialogue and stuff that I can just read all day. Would be nice to understand the story behind L2.

For some reason the lore chapter about the "Crisis of the Ertheias" on the Korean preview site is missing on the NCWest preview site.
"For some reason" basically any official sources of lore are missing in english sources. Only community translations exists, that I've found.
This is the one of many reasons L2 lost it's popularity to a more exposed titles after losing it's "new toy" glamour.
We have been discussing this in Taiwan and it seems to be at a very low chance. This would be a question for Juji's Lab. And we also haven't been able to determine what the probabilities for a Lower/Medium/Advanced Dye Box or a Wind Talisman Pack respectively are. You have to be lucky twice. First to get the Tempest Stone, then out of that the Talisman Pack.
