Honestly? I don't mind it. I find it cute.

Cuteness isn't really a strong suit in L2, being a dark world, but it's the artistic direction the devs chose after the GoD fiasco. Not to mention the female dwarves, who are the epitome of cuteness...

But this is a far cry from the whole sexual discrimination the deleted thread showed.

What is really annoying me is that racism is socially acceptable on these boards, as shown in the link posted above.

That being said, and back on the topic of the Ertheias, you are of course right. The doom and gloom introduced with GoD simply doesn't work, especially in Asia, where there are a lot of girls who like to dress up in the Victorian Ertheia style. That's a huge group of paying customers who will also buy Panda Agathions and Straw Hats. From a commercial point of view it was an absolutely sensible step to get on the cuteness train.

Nevertheless those frilly clothes are simply not suitable for eviscerating people. Real life butchers wear rubber aprons during that stage of their work. Insofar the Ertheias will always draw a certain amount of ridicule, criticism and trolling :D

I personally don't care what they look like and the fact people are getting so wound up about that is mildly funny.

Well it will be fun to see hundreds of ertheias "booming" all around doing quests ...killing mobs ... ksing ... pking ...yeap we will see ... :p
