You can get a rough idea about "soon" by looking at the developments in Korea. On December 11 Ertheia went live over there. This led at first to a noticeable influx of new and returning players. But then people realized that the Ertheias are very difficult to play (and that's in a one-country territory like Korea, with basically zero lag), that they are squishy, and that the usefulness of their hide skills is limited (while you are hiding you don't kill things). So online numbers dropped again, and on June 11, exactly half a year later, there was a major server merge (8 old servers -> 3 new ones).
If we extrapolate that to our situation, then server merges, possibly accompanied by a database cleanup, are to be expected early next year. Log in your accounts around Christmas and you'll be on the safe side :)
