The Ertheia expansion (http://www.lineage2.com/ertheia/) goes live tomorrow, July 30th! Come and experience the new Ertheia race, new classes, skills, maps, instances and much, much more!
We're streamlining the Path to Awakening, no longer will you have to log into the Path to Awakening site to claim your rewards. Starting tomorrow, new characters will receive the Fated Support Chest upon creation. The Fated Support Chest will be located in your main inventory and will unlock to provide you equipment starting at level 40.
More information on how the Fated Support Chest works will be available tomorrow.
We’re revamping the Path to Awakening with more useful information as well, but you’ll have to wait a bit longer for that. Until it’s complete, you’ll see a “Coming Soon” message.
With the launch of Ertheia, we'll be handing out useful goodies for new characters and returning players.

Does this mean the Path to Awakening will cease to be available after maintenance, and if there was still anything left to claim, it'll be too late?
Correct! Claim what you can now because the system, as it exists currently, will be gone.
what about people who have character who have not yet reached awakening and thus havent reached points where they get the next gear or w.e will they get those "The Fated Support Chest"s too since they arent being newly created?
Please, when the servers start with the new race, try to take a screenshot of Faeron with people starting at lvl 1 too becouse i dont see a LOT of chars in newbie city in the last years from Goddess of destruction expansion... and for some days Ruz will be coding and botz will be waiting.
Yay, it's the big day. Seriously tho, I'm failing to get excited...I mean I want to, but it's just not happening for me. It'll be all "oooh, and ahhh" for a day or two, then most of us will just keep doing the same daily crap we've been doing since GoD anyways. Sure I'll make one of each of the 2 new little girly things just so I can still say I have 1 of everything...but then what? I'll stick with my main, doing all the high lvl stuff before work...then a little bit more if I'm bored later in the day...Zaken with all the alts every few days...that's it.
Sorry that I'm not more excited. Still not getting my $$, but nice try ;-)
I might get a video on Faeron village when the maintenance is over, let's see how many ertheias will start :D
I wonder the same. This will be the easiest way to make 2 awaken classes at once. Level all the way to 85, do 1 dual class quest and ''click'' you have another 85 awakened class. I really can't wait.
Another quest and you have obtained noblessed. It's going to be so mutch easier for new players, then in the old days...
A: At level 85, Ertheia can take a dual class quest and it will automatically bump their dual class to level 85. No sub-class leveling required.

Ertheia will be the new spammed toon. ^^
you dont count that you will farrow till make this quest for dual class, dont think it will be easy quest ;)

The dual class will be available once players reach Level 85, complete the 3rd Liberation and the Winds of Fate: Encroaching Shadows quest, and talk to Raina.
The 3rd Liberation is the Class Change quest. I doubt that they would make that quest too hard that it would take several hours let alone days to complete.
this prolly wont be live before I go to work but yes...when I get home tonight ill have 1 of each class...still thinking on names, im sure ill come up with something good...I always do...lol > As for the music...im not hearing any, just the birds on the load in screen
I have a question about account creating. I already have 3 accounts that are full of toons. Is there a problem with creating a fourth account? I know I can not log in more than three accounts, but, will MAKING a fourth throw a red flag on me? I assume I can create as many accounts as I want as long as I only log in three or less. Right? Wrong? JUJI!!!

A lot of people have tons of accounts. There's no issue with that. It's botting that's illegal.
well...server still down and its been 6 1/2 hours for me...guess I wont be able to make my toons until I get home from work tonight...you all have fun with your new toons :)

I buy it cus I'm lactose intolerant. It's really **** good but the amount I eat, might as well eat real ice cream because over-doing artificial sugar gives you the ****s, as does more than 1/2 a cup of this ice cream. XD
Calm down, even if you snap like that, it will not change their attitude. Just keep ignoring them and they will eventually realise the answer themselves.

Not every sugarfree thing is made with artifical sugar. There is the fruitsugar stuff too (I don't know the english word for it). It is natural sugar, but not the usual sugar from the carrot.
or i should save some? xD
since ill start an Ertheia all over on Chronos
hmmm ill be spending the night playing so ill need something 2 eat
and yeah original ice cream is best ice cream o_o :3
This would really be awesome if we only knew what time ya posted that, and besides, according to my comp....it is now been 6 hrs and 39 mins...so that's past the expected 6 hrs downtime...so plz...define "early" for me hehe

Rune Stones are needed when learning or when upgrading to the next level. Rune Stones can be acquired from Raid Bosses (Normal Istina/Normal Octavis/Balok/Ekimus/Tiat/Contestable Clan Hall).
I just killed Istina (Normal) and no Rune Stones dropped. I guess the chance to obtain them is not 100%? Also Blessed Scrolls do not drop anymore 100%? All we got is a Crafted Seraph Pack.

Every time I go to make an account it tells me there was an error ><
it happened to me too, try change the 'display name', i put the same name 3 times and i got error, i changed it, and i created the account.
even if all 3 times i got the 'v' and not the 'x' near it.
idk, try it

I'll give it a shot a bit later, hopefully it'll help!
Q: Am I wrong or I didn't read the adena nerf anywhere?
No adena sink just yet !
A: The Adena nerf was in the original Korean patches, but we asked them to remove it for our version :DLIES! LIES LIES LIES LIES OVER 9000 LIES!
The adena nerf is HERE (ALSO the items one). I just checked Cruma 2. There you could take from 1.000 to 2.500 adena. Now it's 200. Also you could take from 1 to 9 Major Potions, now ALL mobs drop only 1.
Maintenance is complete and the servers are open! We hope you enjoy the new Ertheia expansion!
Not even a single moment. All settings were reset, notification icons can't be moved to where I want them anymore, L2store button still forget it's place with each client restart (seriously, can't you fix it in five years already?).
Minimap is unusable, with indistinguishable toggle buttons (you can't tell if a button is enable or disabled, unless you have something in the field to confirm the state change). And it's jittery, shifting around alot, when you rotate camera. The stupid arrow indicating my position can't be toggled off. What the hell, I know I'm located in the center of this abortion of damaged brain. I don't need a half-screen splash drop to confirm this simple fact.
Kartia quests can't be distinguished between party and solo, you have to guess, which one you've completed just now (no, not that one... try again.)
Basically, the only improvement I've noticed is the list of teleport locations spaced out better with the new NPC dialogue rendering. Doesn't match the usability of a WoW flightpoint map, though, but it's an improvement. The only improvement I've noticed... The rest is an offence to the sense of good UI design.
P.S.
Lineage Anniversary circlet icon is missing... It's for everyone or just me?
They've long since fired the original creators of the game.
The original creators left L2 around (or before) Interlude, while the responsibles for the GoD and Ertheia updates were fired.
Or at least Namkung Gon isn't in a position he can decide about the visual and gameplay direction of the game anymore.

If there is any artistic direction in this blasted game anymore.

Either way, the current state of the game is led by people, who don't know anything about player-run game activity, but know too much about pumping money from unsuspecting victims.
