Has nothing to do with lineage 3 (which will never see the light of day). This article discusses Lineage Eternal (to the dimwit who did this page) is referring to Lineage 3.
Read the actual article and you will see nothing about the fabled L3 game, only Lineage Eternal.
Quote from the article.:
With the impressive prominence and massive number of players worldwide who enjoy the fantastic Lineage and Lineage II, NCSOFT is also pleased to launch the third game from the Lineage series, the Lineage III or the Lineage Eternal.
Lineage Eternal is not an MMO as we expect when someone says MMO.
i imagine it more of an epic version of Diablo where you blast your way through hordes of enemies to reach your goal.
i say Epic referring to mythological proportions like Alexander of Troy...
not Epic as in... Internet Lingo slang for the bestest in the world.
that is how i imagine it at least.
it may be multi player, but i doubt it will be 120 man raids...
The guy who wrote this article has to be a simple minded person. Almost fell asleep because of the repentance of his vocabulary and the incoherent sentences. :rolleyes:

Sorry disappoint you but:
1 - From NC global: "Lineage Eternal is the latest MMORPG in the Lineage series. This game incorporates a "drag action" input system where skills are activated by mouse gestures made on the screen. The game seeks to provide the chance to have a heroic experience for the player, such as being able to lead allied troops into a massive siege battle. The main component of gameplay consists of a fast-paced ****-and-slash combat and the strategic use of terrain based objects"
3 - As a direct sequel to Lineage 1, I don't see any problem if developers want LE to look like Lineage 1 visually, but with a much more improved gameplay, some videos of Lineage 1 to compare:
4 - Lineage 1 still is the cashcow of NCSoft, in 2013 it made over 287 billion korean won(without royalties!), a groth of 40% compared to 2012(205 billion KRW). http://imageshack.com/a/img593/3328/1zef.png
Basically, they are trying to re-create the long therm success of Lineage 1. And I want them to succeed.
those are some great lineage 1 videos.
and i don't dispute the graphic similarity.
but have you watched any of the Lineage Eternal game play?
one man taking on 10 thousand enemies?
killing them each on one swing... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GXhcK7KEuGo
The objective of the video is to show the gameplay system like the drag and hold and a little of the first 3 classes(they plan to have 6 classes when LE releases, similar to L1 that started with 6 classes, but added 2 new ones through the years).
And the video from IGN is incomplete, they are a bunch of noobies, watch it from NC channel.
The video shows us 2 important things, besides the introductions of 3 first classes:
1 - In the beginning - "200 years have passed since the War of the False King". The False King is the main antagonist of Lineage 1, he is what Shilien is for L2, it means Eternal happens 200 years after Lineage 1.
2 - From 12:00 of the video they say - "<Lineage Eternal> is a massively multiplayer RPG. Hundreds of players will coexist within the world of Aden. At times players clash and compete with each other but they also cooperate to fight powerful enemies to overcome tough challenges."
- Red circles: 3 players in party leaving the town;
- Yellow circles: 2 players coming back to the town;
- Green circle: another player standing in front of town's gate talking to a guard NPC, probably doing a quest.
- Blade & Soul development started in 2005 and released in 2012.
- Lineage Eternal development started in 2008 and maybe it can leave the oven in 2015(Korea).
They need 7+ years to develop an AAA MMORPG. Let's say they started the development of another Lineage this year with the acquisition of Unreal Engine 4 by NCSoft to use in multiple games, don't expect a L3 before 2020+.

During the second quarter earnings conference of NCSoft on August 14, it was stated that the first closed betas for Metal Black and Lineage Eternal in Korea are scheduled for this fall(MB) and winter(LE). It gives a range from December 2014 - February 2015.
