I don't even do them anymore really. The item drop rate was screwed, you are required MORE kills than before, the XP rate on those mobs are terrible now and there's no adena or items to be had from killing those mobs. I wasted more time gaining nothing seeing how they were when I could have went to another area with mobs that give double the XP, no drops,but XP at least.
Plain Mission is horrid, 45 mobs needed in total and the XP given is about 50k-57k per mob, you can go to Forrest of the Dead and get far more than that per kill. The rewards for the daily isn't worth it. The adena is like 140k and the XP is like 4 mil and some change. The time it takes to kill 45 mobs at 50kish each is not worth the hassle. That area has truly been killed hard now. I used to love that area,decent adena,xp,items and nice to solo in close to town. The bots don't even bother anymore.
the only difficult quests to do are FOTD/SoS WoA and Varkas. everything past that is easy and fast so just go grind from 64-81 and you are clear of the stupid and terrible quests.
It's not harder, just takes much longer. More mobs and lower drop rate on the quest items. The XP amount on the mobs sucks and by the time you get the quest done you could have earned more in that time in a better location.

Eh, I don't know, they have had drop rate runes awhile now, has anyone tried doing the quests with one of those to see if it effects those rates as well ? I wouldn't be at all surprised if they did.

I dunno,but it's still not worth bothering with if the mobs pretty much give you sh^t XP and nothing worth picking up. Why buy a drop rune for lame daily.
Drop rates are just ridiculous; Varka, Wonders of Caring, In This Quiet Place, and others are just a joke. Varka took a full solid hour of me grinding - and my pet speeding things up a lot - just to get 50 drops.
Friend out of boredom did an academy toon's 76-81 at Varka exclusively, doing the quest. He managed to collect 479 badges with no runes just mentor and one round of vitality. So yeah they wrecked the dailies :)) Way back then it was pretty much a given you 'd do 2x900 items
