I usually try to cap out Crit rate first myself. With just elegia light and special claws and newbie buffs you will have 470 Crit rate, with a little dex you will cap out Crit rate. But most people don't have the 171 Crit from elegia. I know at 85 and lvl 4 buffs(no br or funny buffs) I was able to solo a couple roseinas at gf so even though your p Def will be lower with elegia the VR effect plus high crits made up for it. As I'm writing this I realise Atk speed is probably the better route to go because of heavy blow, the faster you Atk the faster it has a chance to proc.

Heavy punch makes atk. speed a must-have for Eviscerators. Go for Haste imo.

The critical on Elegia light must make it really expensive on the market then right now though. Probably not enough for a newbie to buy right away.
yes you are probably right i saw shouts last night someone wanted the gloves alone for 650mil. it is a nice set to have though for many different classes.

It's strongest on Summoners and Ertheia I think.
Tyrrs, Daggers, and Archers I might see them on, but some of their class mechanics/roles make it unwieldly to wear S80 in R99 settings.
