Once your e-mail is compromised you'd be surprised how much they can add to fake stuff. But in this case the person did a horrible job. Nah, actually I haven't, I'm pretty good with screening my mail. Stuff that goes into my junk folder I glance at to make sure nothing wound up in there that shouldn't have. I can think of a lot of very advanced ways of doing it though, including redirects in links and only adding a couple of lines to a valid mail to get the info you want.
It was better then I thought as a scam, but still shouldn't have made it by first glance.
Edit: It would be really nice to believe for just a second or two that I have a huge inheritance waiting for me to claim with just a little bit of funds or CC info given like winds up in my junk folder though ! :D

We've already pointed out the flaws, so whatever floats your boat. NC will never ask you for that info, that simple. I still tink that it was a clear scam. I can't belive at all what is wrote there, also, as i said before, it's possible to create a masked mail with some tricks, so, as is possible to create a fake website, is possible to create pefectly fake mails..
To know, we need to see the full header of the mail, where there are all the info that track the real status of the mail.. that is the only part of a mail that can't be masked and will contain the truth..

- Is there really an employee who goes by the name of "Elpida" at Zendesk?
- If yes, what was Elpida doing at the time the purported e-mail was sent? Writing a different e-mail, i.e. does he/she have an alibi?
- How come a fake website knows the e-mail address of the banned player? Was there a security breach? How do they know he was banned?
- If it is a fake website, Vali should post the url of the correct website for comparison.

Warning: Disgruntled banned botters might photoshop fake emails from NCWest out of a sense of "getting back" to them for the ban. Some other disgruntled botters might create threads claiming they are innocent and they got banned unfairly. Both are 2 of the 5 stages of grief (denial, anger, bargaining,depression, acceptance), nothing anybody can do about it till said disgruntled botters reach the final stage of grief (acceptance).

again, stages of grief. Some people bargain (but I am innocent I never botted), some people get angry (f u ncwest for banning me when xxxx more bots are running around). Plus factor in that this is a game, not a quantum mechanics roundtable at CERN, lots of the people playing are kids, not everything they do or say makes logical sense. I've read enough in this thread but one thing is clear,
if you have a clear conscience knowing you haven't done anything wrong you don't just remove a thread/potential evidence, you clarify.
Anything that is removed swiftly is a sign of dishonesty. (Somebody doesn't want you to know something.)
No, because that is their stated policy. Any conversations between a client and NC staff are not to be reposted, including fake or doctored ones.
Its also their stated policy to remove things that disparage NC and or create false rumors and fake accusations.
About disparaging NC, they have lightened up a great deal on this, as long as its genuine discussion. As for the rest, its still their policy, I think this time they let the SS and the thread remain exactly because of the title of the thread and it makes sense.
And it paid off doing so, they didn't have to raise a finger or make any statement to debunk this, we, the players ourselves came to the defense of NCwest.

Yes, deleting the thread was, for the reasons I already gave. Even the tin foil hats are right on that one. That thread had already had close to a hundred views even with only four responses in it. It wasn't my thread btw~~

I figured the obviously and poorly Photoshop-ed images of support tickets and L2 pages wouldn't require addressing since they're so obviously and poorly Photoshop-ed but apparently I was wrong.

I figured the obviously and poorly Photoshop-ed images of support tickets and L2 pages wouldn't require addressing since they're so obviously and poorly Photoshop-ed but apparently I was wrong.

LOL Vali u dont need to photoshop any images to do this. U just need a mail server and examples thats all. Than just PrtScr.
P.S. All this images are fake but i dont exclude that u and ur team help botters and cheaters. U do this by nerfing ingame quests and drops. U help those ******** to get rich.
