If the cheaters can't cheat, they got no reason to play, coz any random will be able to smash them.These ppl pay and play only to win the big pixels or make money by selling stuff or usually both.
As it was said countless times now, these ppl are the major customers of NCWest for L2.

Your account was made over an year ago, i think by your concern you till play here. The very fact you play means you support these cheaters cause as long as players stay ingame, there is always interest to win and to cheat.
The best contribution ppl can do is not play at all. if theres low ppl, theres no game and no point to cheat.

Actually the botters and scripters that control the servers from the top level clans do a lot of under the table deals with administration. They spend surprisingly thousands on the game and control how the adena/L2Store market works. Its in NCWest's best interests to do this so they can keep the net profits of the game and make easy money.
As much as I would love to support the notion of power to the players, no top clan member in their right set up of mind would give up scripting, bot armies, and easy hero farming to risk losing the top spots, and by extension, profits of owning those top spots and sources of income.
tl;dr BOTTERS MAKE TENS OF THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS FROM BOTTING, SELLING ADENA, ACCOUNTS, CASTLES, EQUIPMENT, AND HERO SPOTS. THEIR LIVELIHOOD COMES FROM THIS GAME SO THEY WON'T STOP.

Not one of your what if's are practical, as soon as even one person doesn't follow suite, someone else is sure to follow as well, and slowly the landslide ensues. I'll give you the one what if that would make your point and make everything work.

If the cheaters can't cheat, they got no reason to play, coz any random will be able to smash them.
That may be true for some individuals, but long before PvP programs were a twinkle in the eye for anything more than seeing enemies around you or popping CP pots, there were still top clans on the servers, and they were still completely obliterating randoms that tried to mess with them.
Even if you took all the scripts away, after a small period of adjustment many of those top clans would still have in game assets that put them far above the normal players. That imbalance is built into the game, and has always been there. (higher levels, better gear, epics, skill enchants, etc).
Just look at the difference in many clans. There are plenty of "autobots" all around on the various servers. They have all the same scripted advantages. They will do skill interrupts, will never fail to try and noble themselves, won't ever allow a skill to fall because they forgot, and literally need to do nothing but keep cp/mp/hp pots and the like in their inventory and they will get used at the appropriate time. They will also pick perfect targets and/or always assist the MA in any given party.
Many also have some of the best items and gear you can get in the game. But those clans, as equal as they appear to be on paper, are absolutely not equal. The difference is the player behind it, and in many cases the leadership (and their ability to follow it) in the clan/alliance they are part of.
So while I agree it would be awesome to get rid of all the PvP scripts, and the massive waves of bots all over the servers, in the end, it wouldn't change as much as many people think it would.
No bots no scripts no RMTers, means they have limited money to buy NC crap, which makes them OP. U get killed by top clan member and left him maybe 60% of Hp and u see that it is doable. Ofcourse there will always be the best, but when u die against skillset its okey rather than scriptset. I would spend money myself time to time for that crap from NC shop, but now I will never overcome their incomes :)

Most of the issues you described won't push away newbies. They won't ever see those issues until months, if not a year + after playing. It's just not feasible for a complete newbie to L2 to get to a point where they would be competitive with top clans in any way.
The few who do tend to come from private servers and the like, and already know the game and what they are getting into.
What pushes away players is the mostly empty newbie zones, the RMT spam/shops all in the game and party matching, the legions of automated players infesting every last corner of the map, and of course the gigantic brick wall that is going to slam them all in the face sometime shortly after awakening.
Newbies in this game will have a relative cake walk from 1-85. So long as they aren't taking so long that their event gear vanishes on them. But 85+ they are going to start seeing that the economy in this game is laughably broken to a point where they are not going to have any idea how they can make money. People will tell them to "play the market" but there will be no specifics for someone starting with nothing. They can use the NC store, and maybe even get a bit lucky at a raid or something.
But for most? They are going to abandon the game before then unless they happen to actually fall in to a decent clan.

The biggest problem for new players is that sure they get pushed to level 85 with gear,but after that they have no adena if they play the game as intended and did not cheat.
You can't solely play this game and hope to earn everything off of drops or spoils now. It takes for sure group effort and endless hours and still you may get nothing. Even if you used runes to increase your chances, it's still that low. Even me being here since beta find that depressing. Even post awakening it's boring. The same daily quests and instances followed by the one solo place you can go to. That's one thing NC hurt was soloing if you had to after level 85. The one or two spots that you can go to depending on level are not that great. Any spot that was decent was nerfed for botting activity.
And again most of us will never be able to compete with the top players on the server because those people have endless means to pay for the right to be top on the server or cheat. New players need to understand this when coming here and often times I see rage posts about bots, adena, groups, dead zones and on it goes. As a result they quit.
I don't really know how NCSoft can turn a blind eye on it,but it might look far differently on paper than it does to us when we log in.

this guy, d1ablo was botting there.. after getting killed a couple of times.. his guard came.. a Hero called Elmaniaco and Neslia.. ofc it had to be DH clan. Not saying that they are worse than Nova/SH.. but 7 real people wanted to xp in Normil.. and every room was full with trains.. all guarded by known people from the hero list.
What can a player do? Quit? Move to another server? move to a another game?
The only thing that will happen is the continuous death of pvp.. but "pros" seem to forget that if they don't have players to fight against, they will die of boredom.
This game is business for those top clans, they don't have decency to hide or something, conversely they push legit people by coming with their automated max level toons to show that those trains belong to them. Wordlessly but they saying **** from this game.
Well, if they dont want nice PVP, big zergs anymore in this game, up to them.. sadly but its them destroying this game. SH, DH, Einheit and so on top spenders they can PVP between themselves- real fun. And NCsoft better ruin this game than cut their profit.. pathetic :)
They post those vids on forum showing how they kill, owned each other, but it is just empty automated PVP.You tie hands behind their backs and still i would die, because they still got toes :D Nothing impressive there at all, better they kept those vids for themselves in my opinion unless it is hand made :)

All servers are like this so moving to another wouldn't help you. PvP according to them isn't dead, in fact it's a 3-p33n contest for who has the best scripts and ebayed gear. And then you'll see the videos and smack talk popping up on the server forums. It's pathetic.
