Stop repeating it over and over , is a business for NCSoft having bots in their server ^^ or maybe they're just too ******s to not understand that a pt of full immortal people , hunting 24/7 , which speak in ALL chat in a unknow language , saying all the same things , are bots.
The real question is...why 6 hours of downtime instead of usual 4? :|
I think they are just giving them selves a bit more time, since last couple of maintenance breaks have been longer than 4 hrs. I wont be surprised if servers are up after 5 hrs.

You would go permared before you got rid of the bots in even one of the larger hunting areas. Even a whole party of reds would go permared before you cleared out GoG on chronos. And that's ignoring the convenient appearance of stacked 99 toons that have a tendency of showing up when you mess with particular bots too much.
And that is also ignoring when bots start setting themselves up to all come after an attacker. Imagine 10 parties of summoner trains all coming after you. Most characters would get dropped quick or have to bsoe (if they can). If the bots die... they don't care. They get picked right back up and start again like nothing happened. They all die, they can simply tap and return again like nothing has happened.
It's easy to deal with or ignore them when there are only a handful. It's a completely different story when they overrun 70-99% of almost every area of the game.

I've witnessed many ignorant companies, but the nescience NC are demonstrating is unbelievable.
If I was a new user who came to play this game, unaware of anything and willing to get to know more, once I'd stumble on these forums and read a chronicle on botting I would simply change my mind and uninstall immediately.
When I see it's not safe to play, it's definitely not advised to pay.
i only hope that in this long mentenance some bugs will be fixed, like riciving dmg from healer aoe skills in fake death mode, like makeing functionable final ultimate evsion on tohell ghost hunter, cas this is only char with wich i play , and i can see and test all day long in pvp situations, like nerfing ertheia or do somthing to thous stupiditi of 10 minuts imuniti to debufs on ertheya mage, like incresing cooldawn on there hides and knock dawns:), because naw is the lamest situation ever:D 1 ertheya lvl 85-90 can kill easely in a low twilight set+3 any char in oly ceremony of chaos any char with lvl 98 99 with beter ecuipment:eek:, beter status. But still is beter that ncsoft stops the bots and add gold bars in l2 store on sale . Because, like that they control the only coin use in any game tranzaction, they will control game marcket, and any 1 boter or no boter player can buy 1 gold bar valued to 100 milions adena for they price of 50 nc coins lets say a modic amount. Then you will see fair play, then you well see a huge amount of cash incoming on nc soft, because any 1 wants to have the posoboloty to compet in this long lasting game, because any 1 wants to have gear, and to fight big clans , or big oponents, but not like this situation like naw, big oponent , full geared ful abilities, and on bot, you terget him from hide lets say you die in hide and disparition used in hide :D iff you call this funn..... I hear all big donators to nc soft. Ok for what thei donated? for having a powerful char, for having realy god gear and to be proud of his fighting abilities. but on char that is caried att max lvl max gear to not have oponents in a long time you will quit plaing.cas you get bored of game.

-increase feohs and Sahya's Seer skils cooldown with 500%
now, double PAtack for ISS and give them perma BR.
this should solve the problem, the game will be more atractive!

Only if they are really bad. The only situation an erthia can beat "anyone" in oly is with the seer if they can manage to hit/hide and stay that way till the end of the match without getting hit/killed by the opponent.
Evicerators are VERY strong DD's, but if a player actually takes the time to know how they work and isn't an idiot you can beat them. They are only dangerous to a high level toon when steel mind is up as you literally cannot kill them. But it only lasts 30 seconds (unless it crits). You can break them out of it, or just avoid them in many cases. They are fast, but they don't have a long range skill, and their rush skills are short range. Which means archers and nukers can play keep away. Healers can use cs and other skills to lessen/negate damage, tanks can ud, daggers can hide, etc.
Every class has some way to get around it other than maybe summoners. They just need to try and cage/lift and survive for 30 seconds.
I can go into oly and win on my evic with no buffs for the same reason I can go in on my tank with no buffs and completely wrong gear and win. People don't pay attention, and they don't know how some classes work or take the time to know what they should do.
I've killed level 99 toons on my 93 erthea before... it isn't easy, the penalties for fighting higher levels hurts damage a LOT, so it was almost entirely spamming CC skills till they landed to keep damage off me and not letting them get away. But I've also been killed by ones that are only a few levels higher. The difference between win/loss had nothing to do with the classes being played or the level/gear difference, it was entirely about how they approached the fight.

it's the same thing as when Kamael launched, chickens were OP for a while to tempt people to play them (i still remember having to suddenly shortcut my weapon cause you got disarmed every 5 seconds), then they got touched by the nerf stick. Same will happen to the ertheias 2-3 updates down the line, grin and bear it or ignore them.

:D:D:D listen to this, othel is nurfed naw any half kill landed after update is a real quarter kill to any mob or char. Second thing is by taking away Half kill on yul othell, yull will never exist on server any more:D and from othell hunter asasion what name you want to use for class, you get a mele farmer, with no rezist no armour even iff you have a+8+10 set :D and the lamest dmg dealer from server, you cant even calet dmg dealer cas has no p.atack from wepands. You can calet grandpa or grany with a dager:D you only need to learn to play:D situation vs othell 1v1 you must run and rezist 45 secs after 45 secs you can kilet with any class. itt has lowest cp hp lowest pdef mdef, only things that othell has is chance to land a critical dmg, that fluctuets in dmg delt , because you dont have debufs on your char, or you have some nasti debufs, you play on othell class you play att risc in any time in any tipe of pvp situation.
It's nice to see ppl like you (BeleaMare, Asynja, ZuFF), that know what to say about game, not only complain. I wil say to you, wait a little bit to fix Ertheia(hope so) and bot situation (maybe*), but till that time come, just play and enjoy game as far as you can :)

But yes, it's aoe capability is limited to marginal support capabilities at best. It's entire set of skills is almost all CC capabilities (stun, slow, drop target, knock down). So any class that can evade normal hits well will be at a huge advantage, because their skills hit for almost nothing aside from gravity hit... which still won't hit as hard as a normal crit with steel mind up.
It's a great oly toon (but seer is better), and an awesome raid boss toon. They can also do ok-good in small PVP... But beyond that? It's ok, but other classes far exceed it.

Because private servers are usually run outside of the US where they don't have laws that prevent someone from placing a Trojan in your comp to make sure you aren't using a bot. You think those private servers just have access to better tools than Ncsoft?

Guys .. We should all quit this game . No fun anymore its not a game aynymore its business. I see many people say oh ok all is good but they dont have a clue about whats going on they just in pve clans doing instances with trying to lvl up and go pvp. The thing is :
1. There is no pvp , only 3 clans pvp at naia and 2 of them are rmtrs or scripters with top gears worth thousands of euros and no way to obtain them ingame without botting too

There are methods and tools on the server side such as authentication keys, validation of the connected client, conduits by which the packets pass and other features which as I said are implemented on the server side and not the client.
Now talking about the client side, the current gameguard is for what?
Why always claims that the bans that occur on the server are made through systems with heuristic information.
I do not understand it so difficult to "disconnect" an unwanted customer.
2. no way to play on sieges or mass pvp if you are legit , 1 party scripted is enough to make you dont moove
3. Classes completely unbalanced for pvp
4. Bots .. cant farm anything all areas where u can make money are full of them
5. no ppl as a result of all of that only 90% scripts 10% ppl and 9% of them top gear rmtrs or old players , no way to play vs them if you new
generally no reason to spend more time in this game ;p ppl will continue quit (almost all did) server will be just more bots less real ppl . and more and more items will be up make it harder to proceed (like its impossible now , unless u can donate 10k euros + to have equal gear with the ppl that remain on pvp clans). generally dont bother , if no have money say bb go private, if you have money .. dont bother again try other game no pvp in this one just scripts causing lag with dark sets +8. gz ncwest

is not mai problem i am othell 1 char on player same name like on forum i am lvl 98 and i kill many feohs in oly lvl 99 full abilities or only 6 7 abilities . But i know when to hit them, i know to usee all mai char skills , i know to stop them casting. Sumoners same tyr same tank same, I am a low gear othell with a +6 s80 skull edge pvp, in a seraf+4 but this dosent mean i must quit , before real game started. Ok so there is not any fix, any update, no bans, its just a simple restart, and it will take 6 hours ? Crazy.

It’s like he’s trying so hard to make sense of it in his head, that his brain can’t handle anything else other than breathing and blinking. Everything else is incapacitated because his brain can’t process it.(incidentally, as in your case too)
