New, class question, an issue, and hello!

Hello, I am new to lineage as of last night, and I am anxious to play and explore :D I do have a couple of questions though, and after searching and searching google, it only made me more confused and it did not answer anything... I really like the female dwarfs, cute, crafting, but I saw they can only be warriors. I was looking at being a summoner of some sort because I tend to gravitate towards pet/magic classes, and I even saw a dwarf female summoner video on youtube. How? Also, I am experiencing huge latency and choppy movement issues, and I'm running a pretty hefty rig that was built last month to see why I would be having issues in this game. I come from playing a ton of wow, guild wars 2, wildstar, and various other mmos here and there, but I was just burned out and wanted to try something new. Thanks in advance! :o
To become a summoner as a dwarf just level a dwarf to 85 then as a subclass choose which summoner you would like to become and level that. As far as latency try some reduction software such as a tunneling service like WTFast or battleping.
Thanks so much! Also, my lag issue is maybe better described as stuttering. if I move, turn the camera, everything is sluggish and jerks really fast, not even smooth enough to do what I need to :( I'm in NA and chose Chronos server, does that make a difference? Changing video quality did nothing also.
means your pc has trouble with the game lineage 2 is old crap game but some how even a beast pc has trouble hitting decent amount of FPS

you obviously have it also ;) you need to turn down display limit(not on lowest just **** around with it) and turn off cloaks, these 2 do help alot grapics it self can be high or low it doesnt rly change much for some weird reason.

it's a hard drive issue ... lineage 2 runs on a very old game engine that was designed, if you believe it, for graphics cards with 32 megs of framebuffer. Modern graphics cards have upwards of 2 gigs. Anyways, the game has pretty huge texture files, and because the engine is so old it doesn't really cache the texture files in your graphics card's vram, it just reloads them all the time from your HD. So ... SSD is the only real answer
Every time you go to town, or some other heavily populated area, make sure you hit Alt+P for lower detail settings, it will help. Once you're out of town switch back to High details.
Thanks for all of the replies! Like I said, lowering all the video settings didn't make any difference at all, so I guess it's just something I can't really help too much. Hopefully other areas are better so I can get some play out of it at least..

As they said, the game is old, your set up is new from what you said, so you are probably running a multi core system, never mind probably, definately. Check the rated stats for your cores not as overall, which is what your computer is rated at, but as singled out, which is how L2 runs. Pretty sure thats a big part of your issue.

SSD helps as well as was stated, but you also said you just built it and as a gaming rig, so wouldn't be surprised if you already have that.
