So, I would like to know from the dev teams ( L2 ) and to talk with players about Lineage 2.
Nowaday, as some peoples here know, lot of privates servers are running. And really lot of players are playing on. I specially focus High Five servers.
I know some friends playing on H5 servers because they just prefere this version of the game at the others... They tested the news versions and they don't like it.
I know some people they started to play since the first version of Lineage 2, and they still want to play on private server because they prefere H5..
I can tell you & i'm sure of that information. Owner of private servers can win every month something like 2k € from donation...
Then we can conclude NCSOFT waste money from their own products..
I would like to know from the DEV teams ( L2 ) If it will be possible to try for a few weeks to open one High Five server, and let see how many players will come back to play on Official server.
I'm sure if you do that, it will be an real opportunity for all, as for NCSOFT to win money, and see more players playing on your server, and for the players to have really lot of fun to play on official server with the H5 client.
But, if you really want that working I think ( for my own ) you server have to be attractiv. That's why I think, the H5 server have to got differents rates. I mean about XP/SP/Adena etc...
Those of private are working as well because they're rate are really attractiv.
I'm really sure this kind of idea, will be great for L2, and then lot of players will be back on official.

I'm pretty sure the GM (if he exists, I basically only know Neutronium and Tisephor) told him that if he has suggestions about the game, he should post them in the Suggestions forum.
I'm in the process of searching Sace's post that debunked a copycat suggestion long ago, afaik Juji did one too but Sace's are easier to search.
The game is set up for f2p high 5 and any early version is p2p. All the accounts are set up for f2p for them to make any other early server would require so much reprogramming there account system to be able to go p2p. Also the older versions would have to be reprogrammed to allow a l2 store its just not practical to run any other version but the current one.
I think people who keep bring up this subject over and over do it because they feel nostalgic and in there minds think the game was better back then which it was not.

Actually, the store was there in H5, they just never flipped the switch on it, that isn't an issue. The issue is, anything we will see happen has to happen in KR first, and I doubt we'll ever even see a classic server over here, nevermind a H5 one over there to start hype over here.
I'd actually like to see a server with C5 rates and already updated all the way to GoD but not beyond with a good F2P store model, which NC has never had. And them fixing past issues and implementing things they still haven't that were promised all the way back in C1-2. I'd even pay to play that one. I just know its never going to happen, or at least not until L2 has completely died and then five years later on a new engine when its community property. :p
Also this would have to be actively policed as well of course. :o
Edit: Since I'm pipe dreaming, there would be some other changes as well, no Epic's instanced, and oly set up like second BT, everyone enters with the same stock gear and thats that ( second BT showed they could have done it all along if they had so chosen to ), would redo Core and w/e that SoS boss is ( fried atm ) so those two boss jewels had meaning as well, and of course never have implemented that stupid level penalty. :p
Edit Two: Also would take out element stones and crystals, this would in effect make nukers once again the true element masters, and would also promote healers as actual end game DD's at whim ( dark mobs/ undead ) with PP's right in the mix with them somewhat, making them useful beyond waiting for them to get CC at higher levels.

Infinite Odyssey has Kelvim, which basically works like any dragon, after the first stage(s) where the CC that clicks the fastest enters, anyone can port in and try to disrupt or tag along the raid.
Unfortunately on NCWest this won't work, both Nova and SH have this habit of filling the CC with boxes and meatshields to occupy every single spot the dragon "instance" offers.

I agree on attribute crap but I don't agree on Prophets, playing one is pure hell :(
Yes, I mean Orfen, like I said, was a bit fried at the time. Also, notice I ended all my updates before GoD and would rather have old issues fixed, and the content we never got actually put in. We still to this day are missing half our continent, never mind the dragons ( who would have thought we'd be up to the wind dragon and still no water dragon when it was originally the second one planned ? ) so yeah, no Soul Orfen's yet. :D

Do you think the idiocy of this topic deserves any attention from a GM, no less development team? Honestly this idea HAS been burned many times by NCSoft. Older versions are NOT supported. Korea has a "classic server" that features C1-C2.
Further more the trash that you are playing is stolen files that have been hacked. The servers you dwell on having FAR different settings than official servers. The fact you give money to the worms running it is yet another testimony to your stupidity.
You can't even argue this idea. It has been confirmed by many forum and admin that it WILL NOT happen.

Stolen idea but not files. They are all java based emulators writen from zero. They use L2 free client and if there were no changes made to game client, owners of such servers are clean.

NCWest is making more money than Innova with their RU and EU market.

I'm really sure this kind of idea, will be great for L2, and then lot of players will be back on official.Most players that play on private just dont want to pay for the game and to play legit on x1 rates they are to lazy. And for playing not legit here they dont want to pay too because every noob knows that working scripts are not for free. So they go on java based servers x 500000 and huhuehue there from one wipe to another, because a drunk GM came and made huehuhue to all accounts on server.
