There is a Hacker around that is scamming people with US ip. He goes usually from Skype or Facebook. He reads all information accounts u have on your PC and then scam your accounts. He can use your skype FB and any other forums to speak with ur friends and make them trade items etc.
So far he scammed me personally 3 Accounts.

On one of my accounts it was something very strange. I didnt had any information on my pc. He stole the entire account without having the email informations aaswell.
I saved one of my accounts when i saw it logging in. I have his IP address aswell . If NCsoft is worried about this they free to ask since they are not replying on any of the tickets. Im tired of this ******** with 0 security and u get event items back even if you play the game 10 years. You try to do a password reset and it takes you forever and sometimes you dont even get your own account back but when it comes for a scam it goes fast without that many informations.

By the time you posted all this the person responsible surely changed their IDs and mail addresses, so I don't think any of it applies anymore, but yeah, it's good to be on the lookout.
Companies won't care because most services cost money, so if something goes wrong why would they recover your account for free if they can have you pay for that, especially in a P2W environment.

are you suggesting he hacked NCwest? Cause really I don't get where you 're heading with this ... your security is your responsibility, NCWest is not going to make good for whatever security holes you have.

I force you to find anything against me any rmt or any illegal use of programs. Before you start pointing your finger on different locations try to ******* prove it. I force anyone also from NCteam to check my account for anything.
You probably dont ******* get it that this happened from one of my contact lists from FB or Skype. There are bunch of people spamming this around and you are on your own world. Keep posting random stuff and keep pointing fingers on others.

If you want NC to look at something submit a trouble ticket via the support page.
If you want real security it means you would have to:
- stop using Microsoft products of any kind
- not use Apple products of any kind
- if using Windows you would have to undergo drastic security measures, like a custom firewall with custom rules, ditch mainstream Antivirus software as that alone drags malware on your computer and often gives you false positives to encourage you that you made the right decision on spending money on it; stop visiting websites with adult content, don't click on every link you see on Facebook and I could go on...
My recommendation for ultimate security is using a Linux distribution, but then again you wouldn't be on these forums would you?

When GOD first launched, noobs started posting on the forum that they had been hacked. The replies were overwhelmingly along the lines of "you RMT'd", "you shared your login info", "you downloaded 3rd party software", so on and so forth. Then it turned out (iirc) that the Path to Awakening had a vulnerability. As an aside, NCSoft also responded to the issue by implementing a PIN for all accounts. Oh and a ton of people lost a lot of decent gear and adena at the time, only to be compensated with some R grade event gear.
Now I'm not saying this guy is right that a scammer used some security flaw to swipe his info, but I'm not going to call him a liar either. A bit of skepticism is a good thing, but that doesn't mean you have to berate the guy either because there's always the possibility that he's actually right.
P.S. If you use 3rd pt software there is a slight random chance that you will get banned.
Fixed that up for you. The majority of players in end game clans use 3rd pty software. Only a small number ever get banned, and only then because their script was bad or they were the first victims of a new detection method.

Since the current NCsoft account management system relies on email addresses, it is possible that any hacker that can get into your mailbox can also retrieve your account info.

I get those every now and then, but nothing bad's ever happened.
Oh that's a silly chinese gmail **** tool ... it basically runs a set of "easy" passwords (nowhere near a dictionary set, just a few preset dumb passwords) against a dictionary of accounts hoping to land any accounts. It's mostly ineffective cause google geolocks your account after a few (I think 5) failed attempts to login so no matter how big their proxy list is it rarely works, unless your password is "password" or something dumb like that.
And that's mostly spammers, they try to grab your contact list and spam it with your "From" headers.
