When you use the skill, for 60 seconds it's like you are attacking the target from the rear, regardless of where you are actually standing.
Ty for reply, in that case I don't get how is this skill useful, do I'm missing something? is there some passive or skill that allows you to increase the damage while attacking from the rear?

Are you nuts or what? You just repeat words we ALL can read in game.
Question was - what this actually mean? Since erterias does not depends on where they stand, in front of target or behind

Then i guess like its actually useless, seems like ncsoft were really drunk while creating new classes.
or maybe people have forgotten that attacking from behind is always a better damage output than side or front. i myself still try to get behind my target, but i don't know for 100% sure if i am behind the target or not.
with daggers, they have an ability which teleports or spins the target so you are behind them. other classes have to guess.
but with Ertheia, they have an ability which makes it always a back hit.

We all know daggers always take advantage of this but ertheia isnt one and they dont even have some skill to boost rear dmg, what do you mean with is always a better dmg output?, is there a dmg modifier by attacking in the back for everyone? if its true well **** me then.

Yes you hit harder and more often from behind. About 20% more.

Every class has a better chance to crit more from behind. Daggers have passives and special moves that rely on it yes, but even a healer smacking a mob will crit more often if doing so to the rear of a target than the side or front.
This is another reason why tanks are useful to things that don't die quick (like raids), they can pull the target's attention in one direction while everyone else stands to the rear.

well that's new for me, i'll assume all that its true since i'm too lazy to testing it.

yeah, but as i mentioned before it's a guessing game.
you can't be certain that you are behind a target.
sure it looks like you are, but the screen looks different for everyone so the mob might not actually be facing the direction you think it is.
only daggers can get positioned every time with minimal fail.
this used to come up a lot more when low level characters did kamaloka.
after awakening it was like people didn't care, or maybe mobs just die too fast for it to matter.

Sure i did notice about that, but if this char doesn't rely on position it shouldn't be a big deal. It's still nice to have this skill even if its a minimun boost.

It's not even just the back. Even if you're on the sides of your target your chance to crit will increase. Obviously, the back means the most chance.
This game has had this feature since I can remember.
While we're on this topic, if you stand on an higher elevation than your target, you have more accuracy. If your elevation is lower than your target's, you lose accuracy.
offtopic: this reminds me that it saddens me that a game with this level of delicious details is being turned into a slob work like every other game.
elevation eh? never heard that one before...
although i know that elevation is taken into effect with the archer aoe shot.
you can miss if tiy shoot over the enemy's head.
well used to be that way in SoA.
