It's time to show off your artistic skills! Create a drawing of your favorite Ertheia character and/or location and share it with us for a chance at amazing prizes. Since this requires time, artistic skill and more than a little creativity, we put together some great rewards. Only 5 winners will be awarded so make your entry count.
grats on allowing digital artwork now those of us who cant use that and just use drawings don't stand a chance in hell at winning no point taking part in this
Entries must be in traditional or digital art mediums only.
Can you elaborate on this? How "traditional" should the allowed media be? Graphite pencils, colored pencils, charcoal, oil pastel, acrylic paint, water color?
For Winners residing in Canada, before being confirmed as a Winner, the selected Entrant must correctly answer unaided, a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question administered by email or telephone.

LOL.
Yes "Graphite pencils, colored pencils, charcoal, oil pastel, acrylic paint, water color" are allowed. As long as its hand drawn.
I don't agree with statement that allowing digital mediums puts traditional artists on lost position. If you have skill, then you can create amazing pieces with just a crayon. So don't be negative about the contest, just give it a try.
not that I will go to the drawing board for this but just to check is the " Ancient Scroll: Enchant Weapon (R-grade)" still good for max +16 and is the change like any weapon enchant scroll aka it can fail but with this scroll you get to keep your current enchantment level (dewr style except this can go +16) ?
Vali, do you also accept other countries to participate in this event ?
i wish people would stop asking this question.
the official, legal answer is NO.
however, they also have a don't ask, don't tell policy.
they don't personally care about your orientation, so don't go and tell them where you live.

Having just finished my traditional medium entry today, I would say that digital has an advantage. My colors are limited to what Titanium White, Cerulean Blue, Lemon Yellow, Burnt Sienna, etc. can make, while a digital creation has access to all the colors a monitor can produce. Also digital media can be designed for the screen, whereas I will have to hope there is good light here in late October so that I can take a decent photograph of mine. As long as such things are considered, I'm fine with competing against digital artists. A concept executed digitally isn't stronger or more original than one in a traditional medium, or vice versa.
They should give a gift to everyone not only the winners... Really, I'm sure that there will be a lot of artwork that can win the first place for sure... and not even winning and wasting a lot of time doing something for nothing will really suck.
And no... I'm not participating... my draw skills are enough to make a stick figure and not even a perfect circle as head.
When we email our submissions do we get any confirmation it was received?
I have entered NC contests twice before and neither time were they received. Last year for the adena art I submitted a support ticket and they helped me out, but this time they said they can't help. So I have no idea if my submission was properly received!
(Mind you, I went on to win the Adena art contest last year after making sure you guys got it.)
We'll be emailing out confirmations to those that accurately submitted entries in the next day or so. Winners will be announced next Tuesday, November 4th.

Vali, in case people don't get the confirmation and they sent the artwork. Can they resent it (After showing some proof that they really sent it before the due date)?

Good question, for now I don't have any confirmation of my submission either. But I've followed the rules exactly.

I think Vali said it does take a couple of nights to get a confirmation. If you don't get something by the end of Friday, that's when I would start flipping some tables.
that is nice of you.
we didn't get the same with the screen shot contest... so i never knew weather or not my entry was even reviewed.
also, will we get to see all of the entries like with the previous Adena art contest?
Yes, we'll post up all the entries on the day we announce the winners.

Yes, the confirmations will be going out shortly, if you don't receive it by tomorrow then it didn't qualify/we didn't get it.
