People those are not Photoshopped, have you ever turned your client's shader effect options on? ;) Try it and see, if you can ofc. I can't understand why every contest is restricted in location when we have tons of players outside the US and Canada...
Vali has stated several times it's just a legal binding. You don't have to state where you live when participating in contests, so everyone can submit their entries.
What a crock of horse manure! These are pretty darnn boring and a few look Photoshopped and I'm not talking about shaders either. And TWO from Magmeld?? That server's dead. My screenie was a helluva lot better than these!!!

Seriously, I knew they'd pick this kind of stupid stuff. I spent hours and took hundreds of screenshots to get that perfect shot.. as I'm sure many of us did. This dumb contest is what's kept me hopeful. I can't do much of anything any more because of DCing so many **** frigging times during the day and thought if I'd at least win this contest it would be some sort of consolation.
After seeing these choices for the winners??!!... that's it!!... I quit!!!.. at least playing my main and until something is done about Level3's fracking servers. Think perhaps I'll go the route that Dracho has and make a perma red and just kill everyone in sight. I have two summoners and an ISS so this could be something I can do to keep me from going even more grey than I already have!!!! Erthe's... they're what's for breakfast, lunch and dinner!!!
P.S. Just lmfao at winner #4 from Chronos!! It's pretty much a dead copy of what they gave as a sample!!!!!!! Yep, we have some REAL creative winners here folks!! /sarcasm off

i don't know about the glowing blue at the end of the staff, but the shader effects in l2 could reach this weird look.

after playing with shaders, i'd say it's certainly the real deal.
looking at that staff, i don't know its name, but i remember seeing it before with that glue blow.
Well if it was up to me I'd picked your screenshot rather than the official winner for Chronos.
And the winning screenshot from Bartz has the best composition, but the character's hairstyle is absolutely aweful. She should've at least taken off those hair-rollers before taking the screenshot. :o
I was take this screenshot for 5 days , and each day about 2 hours to find the best spot and beautiful landscape.
And all my hardwork for this contest just nothing , poor -.- ... ima also played in cafe ,all duration time just for screenshot :x

OMG so much hate... I thought L2 players are much more noble and can take defeat...
These are indeed good shots, but we must see all 202 to say if there were better shots.
IMHO the best to worse are like this:
1. Honeybunny - it is pretty awesom, almost flawless... maybe too much blue on the picture, but I guess, to get the closer look of the character's face it needed that angle. It is original and the composition is great, the closer look, the closed eyes, the pose, the litle cute agathon... Excelent, definitly N1
2. HoBoTo - excelent shot too. The closer look of character's face shows how beatuful this Ertheia creatures are. Plus, details are great - the night sky, the flowers, the music notes, the OK pose, the village in the back and the heart above the name... It somehow puts positive energy and I like it.
3. Sapphires - again grat shot and closer look, but I think its too much glowing and the character is "lost" in purple and pink... maybe it is just the skill effect that cause this, but for me it is too much glowing... anyway the details are perfect and it is definitly original. A also don't like the dress, her legs look somewhat unnatural.
4. Here I would've put Sharalanna's shot - great composition - the night sky, the moon, the pose, the litle stars around her... Too much grass that looks unnaturally put there, plus the character's face and body details are too away... But Sharalanna is an *****hole so I'm happy he/she didn't win.
5. Valiosa - not so much original, the comosition is good, but only that. I prefer to see the face... (even the *** - yes I'm a man), but this is too simple and not much details.
6. JamieBond -yes, it is super original with the James Bond refrence, but it is too simple. The character is too far away, the picture details are ugly... green and brown and too much gray. Don't like it...
I really want to see other participant's shots and then say if some1 should have make it to top 5...
it is true, the character name and title being an integral part of the final shot does belittle the result a little. i appreciate it a lot due to the nostalgia of the bond franchise, but had it been another character name and title, its effects would have been lost in the poor overall aesthetic of the image.
i'm a little surprised it wasn't overlooked entirely.
when looking at 200 pictures, it would have been easy to miss the seemingly obvious reference.

well, Excuse my behaviour.... I am talkin' to all who enter this contest and didn't win... OFC. 95% or 99% will be dissapointed, but that's the way it. If everyone can win, then what's the point of competition.
p.s. If you complain too much ->that's the looser style. Be man and face the reality.You (not personally you) lost, next time try hard and be the winner.

I so don't give a **** about screenshots but the whining is highly entertaining. Could we please have more rage quits and stories of people that spend eleventy thousand hours in net cafes taking screenshots?

this contest also just a joke for me , i just used a normal com,no chance for me to win. look ,the winners picture , damm so f**king beautiful ,glowing glowing , this is HD images ,impossible for me to win -.- . but i enjoyed the event , good trying for this event .gz for all winners (Be gentleman guys xD.)
First one is gotten using the glow affects, with advanced shader effects, and some messing with gamma and refresh rate. I could repeat those effects actually.
