There and back again. What is going on.

From Lineage 2 to Aion and back again.Just answer a few of my questions and stay in and listen a little bit about what NC is doing over there. My regards CMs and GMs, for this may not be the correct forum.

First off let me ask a bit about Lineage 2, and just what is going on. Lineage 2 has always had that. Rather charm of playing, albeit never what it used to be.

First subject- P2W

Pay To Win, whats it like, i can handle a bit, but nothing like Aion god forbid. Tell me how it works, how much some gets you, and how valuable it really is in game.

Second- PvP

Another reason i quit Aion, its unbearable, the servers and people. This ties in with P2W. Is there good PvP? Great! But if P2W puts that one player as a god in PvP is when i start to get mad. Got to the point in Aion where i couldnt take it anymore, so how much decent PvP can i actually get, not paying, being a good player, and a little more than casually playing.

Third- Endgame

Whats it like? Whats there to do? Is it fun?

To sum it up, it boils down to getting rolled by P2W god mode no life players and falling servers with the lack of NCsoft involvement with only greed.

sadly, there is not much difference here.
i can't exactly speak for the differences in pay to win, but here there are a lot of events where you need to pay for the final piece of the reward item.
you can buy your way to top gear, you can buy your way to highest level.
it still requires action on your own part, but you can use real life money to achieve these goals.

end game pvp is dominated by a similar class of player.
although there are many who claim to be legit, nobody really believes them.
there was an event not long ago where you could pay to get your weapon enchanted to +15. although that's not as bad as the original weapon enchant pay to win with destruction, it came pretty close.

you need to pay, although you can buy with adena some parts, but you need to pay for a something called a brooch which can be fitted with powerful gems... which you can buy with real money also.(or pay large amounts of adena for them)

but the game is still fun.

If you are ready to invest something between $10,000 - $50,000 you can get in some "top pvp clan" and experience the end-game content.
And, since all servers have been totally overrun by all kinds of cheaters: botters, pvp scripts users, etc. etc., so, even having spent that much you may still find yourself being regularly pwned by "handless" yet fully automated players.

A casual player with average gear who barely buys any NCoins can forget about open pvp due to getting 1-shotted on spot. If you're exceptionally good, you could, however, still have some fun in pvp under certain conditions, e.g. in the Olympiad or Ceremony of Chaos, but it'd require not only skills and luck but also playing a certain class. (For example, support classes don't need as much investments as damage dealers.)

I've been playing L2 without any breaks since the start. But after a certain point it has completely turned to a single-player game for me, because playing solo and not interacting with anyone (that is, not joining major clans, not partying with random people, not raiding, not sieging, and so on) is the ONLY way to stay legit.

I heard that use of scripts is mandatory in pvp clans.
And if you join a random party for a raid or something, chances are someone in the party is on bot and you may get randomly banned along with the entire party (bots rarely get banned, but when it does happen it often looks like a blind random strike of the banhammer).

So, an honest player has just 2 options: either play totally solo (like I do) or find a good legit PvE clan that does some raids, sieges occasionally, and doesn't care about mass pvp and server domination.

Only from lvl 99
For example u are Feoh
U need to have
Full element Eternal armor Robe + Full Element Eternal Heavy Armor
U need to have full epic blessed jewels. Valakas Antharas Livindor and so on.
U need to have a lvl 97-99 support dual with all above
U need to have full elemented weapons.
U need to spend 100-300 bucks minimum in a month for runes and so on.

In common a 150-200 billion char in adena. Or 10 000 -11 000 $ in real currency.This is minimum (for Nova). But so and so u can find some nice PvP (PvP-PvE) clan like HouseOfErrants, but be ready to have wars against whole server:), that is hiting on PvE in some cases. From other point of view they dont have some special requirements, u just dont need to be an as....

We have RvR (Robot vs Robot). In many cases not the amount of money shows who is better but the quality of the scripts.

Whats it like? Whats there to do? Is it fun?Can be if you in PvE clan like Sunshine (just example), they do some end game raids and they dont require you to spend thousands of bucks on your char. But when a PvP "top" clan starts to reign on server to get to the end game content is hard, they just put their full automated guards on the dragons and with one PT own half server or full server in some cases. I think we all have such clans on all servers.

EDIT: Fourth- And the best server and why!!Best server i is one where are no "top" pvp clans and the population is big. If Nova alliace transfered to Chronos today, than i recommend you to go to Naia if Nova stayed at Naia than u go better on Chronos. And yes all above clans i spoke about are from Chronos.

I main i tell so. Avoid the robot millionaires, just ignore them and u even get here some nice gameplay. Not all clans on servers are completely as.....les, many can suggest you nice game. And u wont survive here solo after 90. Game now starts from lvl 85, PvP start after 97.

Why bother?

And Innova is the same. Bots, bots oh yeah more bots. But in smaller packages though. It's also p2w, no idea about script2win but if there are bots I'm pretty sure they can use scripts also. Funny thing about Innova servers is that I need to install WTfast to play normally or I just lag as hell. Had no real problem on this NCwests Texan server, and I'm from Europe)))

That's due to rly bad routing, i had same problem at one point, my provider didnt care, and i changed net provider, and since then (1 year now) i have 0 lag issues.

Lineage 2 was not always like this, unfortunately became P2W and excess unchecked bots, No GM, Just nothing.

My honest recommendation if you like mass pvp, fair play just go to Guild Wars 2. PVP and sieges are as similar to Lineage 2.

Excellent graphics engine, super fun World VS World PVP, high FPS, and dont need to be the TOP player server to enjoy ^^

Im sorry but Lineage 2 is a toxic game, Still love it. If one day Ncsoft make the war to the bots, ban external programs and we had banned GM assets, ill return without hesitation.

My humble opinion. hope this help you find a better game and community.

U can try Tera or Star Wars Old Republic or Blade and Soul in China if F2P. But there are some nice P2P games like GW2.
