So, as a returning L2 player

Sigel Knight Started Last reply 5 posts
So... ever since I started playing this back in Prelude, had I decided that forever would I be a Dark Avenger, and if I might brag I became a ridiculously good one back in my days (I stopped playing by Gracia if I recall?).

Does it still convey the same feeling of prominence, dissecting and disabling your enemies to death?
Is it still that one class that is underwhelming in the wrong hands but your worst nightmare in the right ones?

Well, my question is, as a Hell Knight at heart, how disappointed will I be with Sigel Hell Knight? What are the differences?

Thank you in advance.

All tanks now share some basic traits, far more than they did previously.

So all tanks are basically the same core + a few difference/skills to set them apart.

The HK isn't going to be quite the same playstyle as the old one, but it's the only one with a summon worth using.

As to it being a worst nightmare, any tank geared well-great and played well will be a royal PITA for anyone to deal with. HK is no exception. But and old school "HK at heart" vs HK as it stands now will likely have a love/hate with a number of things.
Well... it's a shame. Things like Hamstring made the HK so vicious and unique.

And I absolutely loathe that every single game make tanks to be "lesser DPSs". The L2 model was perfect for me. Just relentless CC machines. It wasn't about damage at all, it was about the utility.

Anyway, thank you for your help. I might just check out archers.

By the way, can Kamael now sub anything or are they still bound to sub kamael only classes?

And more importantly, are archers still "meh/okay" in solo play and excel in dedicated parties? (I liked it like this back then btw)

Tanks can still CC people, but they are not the best at it. The only exception is really the SK with the currently OP single/aoe para skills they have. The land rate is STUPIDLY high for those. Add in the single/AOE stun all tanks get, plus the silence/slow skills and they are pretty much the current ideal PvP tank when it comes to actually doing damage.

For archers, they can do well solo with half kills and damage that scales well with gear, but they need a party behind them to really shine.

For Kameals, yeah they can switch it up now. Their judicator class is the only "unique" class to them now. But they can't awaken it to anything unique (or at all, haven't checked).
Like others, they can't sub/dual dominators, maestro, or the new classes (saya seer/evicerator).

You may need to use some of the class change/reset stuff to get them tho. I really haven't checked in ages, so they could be locked to the "kameal" classes till you awaken then can reset it using the npc on talking island. I just don't remember where they left them off in regards to making it easy.
Very dissapointed.
I was also a Hell knight, keep the human skin and use chaos ess and change to Sigel Shillien Templar. Imo a good and fun char.
I recomend have the human stats with this class and put on some CON dyes. Other prefer str dyes honestly almost 0 difference on crt skills chance and the extra damage is little (unless you have the resources to get lvl 5 dyes) But at least 90 CON is a must for any tank
