Finally after some time, dont know what are you doing to ban bots now but it's really working, and results are clearly visible, also some top bots owner are getting desperate. I thumb up this actions against bots, keep the good work go on please and dont stop. This is against afk bots, now next step is focus on those PVP scripts users plz. ;)

there was 15-20 LF mentor room, 2-3 real rooms , 5-6 RTM room and I was in alt and open room for zaken, in one moment my room got off, when i was like to remake, all pt seerc was clean from LF mentor and real rooms, but all RTM was still there. did www.....com 200kk=8$ rooms not may never be delete from there idk but semas gm not "kill" them never...
Same in shilen... a lot of kamaels lf mentor in party search, and in fields everybody notice that they are script users, every kamael do the same, someone begin to pk them and was a eternal circle ... they died, go to village, buff, gk and to the field again, the pk kill all the kamaels and they do the same over and over and over ...
And... why only kamaels archers???
Seriously, that's not something new.On Chronos kamael archers have been botting for months.Especially in swamp of screams, varka silenos, they were always looking for mentor. What made you surprised so much ?
I don't understand about which place you are talking. But,seeing chronos now :
Silent valley, varka silenos, swamp of screams, altar of evil ... have more bots than they 've ever had now.It was better 1 week ago,now it's clearly worse.
Hope you are being sarcastic...

You realize that even though the game is not legally allowed to be botted, and let me point this out right here right now, I am not justifying it by saying what I am going to say, but you know there is a severe negative side effect to them mass banning like this right?

It's hunt time, go do your raids free of bots, like that freaking stupid "majin" clan farming Baium on bot mod in chronos server. Or like bregans bot clan which farms Lilith.
If someone feel bad for prices going up, then I just have to say sorry that bots are not farming boss jewels to get adena and sell in RMT sites. Thanks NCsoft for the great bot "purge" .
Because of skill : Twin Shot kamael archers have ...
no some Russian dude is selling a script that apparently works very well with archers, gets them to 85 in 3 days. So doing 20x kamaels gets them what 30 mil? each Kamael x 20 (so 600 mil) plus 20 bones for Vesper weapons every 3 days ... and it's easier than botting up a group that might take months to start making that kind of adena in GF or wherever. And no "pain" for the bot lord if the 20 kamaels get banned a couple of days after they awaken.

Yes,it's appearently a well-built script for archers, but the guy asked for why only kamael archers, why not elf or human and i think it's because that only kamael archers have a nuke skill that does nice damage.Others just have a stun skill with low damage.

it's not just Kamaels, last night in the Kranrot pit in Naia there were about 30 delfs and 10 kamaels. It was pretty hillarious actually, obviously nobody could kill a single mob but it was pretty funny all these bots ksing each others quest mobs.
Kamaels are "easier" cause a) their range is shorter so they get stuck on obstacles less, and b) they have "surrender to arrow" (aka Real Target)
It is funny to see how some people agree that banning bots has a negative effect on servers, the only negative effect is for the bots owners, on the other hand, as Yidao says if they keep banning bots eventually prices will get down, go to AH and see how some items have dropped prices, thats ban effect.
Eventually the cheaters will try to form their bots groups, again and again, that's not new, but if GMs keep the good work banning them, we will have a better server.
there was a full page yesterday at naia in matching so ...We are banning the party matching bots every day and currently working on a better solution to remove them faster.
Bot parties in hunting zones are being banned daily and we do not plan to slow down any time soon. In addition, we are also cracking down on CoC bots and raid boss bots. Consider this as a long-term ban hammer :D

Thanks, Juji, I am one of those who strongly criticizes inaction in regard to measures taken against bots / scripters, but also recognize and appreciate the good work when it's done, and I'm not the only one that share this feeling.
I really appreciate the latest steps taken to maintain clean the servers (I know it is a hard work, and looks like endless), but it is very nice to know that you are working on this issue. :)
the purpose of this post is to provide support and positive feedback, for You and the rest of the staff.
The problem with COC is not the auto sign bots anymore since few months ^_^
Make sure to check people using script to cancel the book use -> auto celest when you try to use it and lots of packet hacks going on.
Hide skill is basically useless nowadays. Best way to check for anti hide is at castle sieges , look on toons like izee or deadpeople on naia , when they are guarding the castle door , try to sneak by with a char in hide you will see it's pointless.
More and more people are gaining access to this exploit lately as it can be bought on certain forums.

simple solution, spend 5 minutes a day per server jumping across the kekropus quest locations. You will find them there. When you see a swarm of archers yell eureka

PVP tools are safe during this ban hammer. Lucky them.

That's awesome)
But can you look into the pvp bots?
- People see me through hide.
- People can target me through hide, and hit me?
- Anti backstab turn.
- Auto assist (I'm talking in milliseconds) It's possible if you spam right mouse click on the player in the party section. Macro has a delay, of a sec or two. And I don't see people spamming right click, in the top clan videos. They are also moving and changing targets in milliseconds. Cmon now.
- Debuffing, making damage through giant barrier. This is just silly.
If someone can add the list, so Juji is aware. Tickets don't help, so Diego you can skip the, thisisn'ttheplacetotalkaboutthis jajajaja.

On this, there's a slight delay between the casting of the skill and the full effect, since Lindvior or Valiance. It's a trait common to all invincibility/untargettable skills (including Undying Will and Disparition).
Annoying, and guess what, scripts know how to abuse this.

Actually bots dont **** the packets. They use same packets as we all.:)

Tickets are the only thing that really helps for the reasons stated. If you feel you need someone to talk to then send Juji and Vali a PM.
In both cases you have either a DIRECT line to NCsoft support AND/OR a DIRECT line to the assistant producer / community manager.
Troll posting is just trolling, the whole thread about that guy using the skill exploits was completely unnecssary and resulted in the thread being locked by Juji.
The OP could have EASILY made a ticket with the same information and then sent Juji/Vali a PM. No need to pollute the boards / create threads that will be locked.
When will the mods start purging these forums of bot/exploit tears.
Easy to explain, some group of people (same guys from Vietnam, i bet) got a certain working script for certain bot.
Anyone can use bot, but not all can edit script to their needs, change race, or buffs, or way of exp, etc
So they just run this script endlessly.
Script makes male kamael archers, buff them with knight buffs set, creates a room search for mentor, auto accept mentors, auto exp, etc
But I wonder, what is the point? I took 3 such kamaels as mentees at different time, they lvl up till 76 and left me (banned? or just script stop after 76 and they can not exp further because they can not set up bot properly themselves? again, what is the point?)

I wondered the same...tricksters actually level up to 78 with script and then remove the mentor , but if you restart or crush , they instant delete you.
About why they level up to 78 , i don't know...tbh i thought it was 'coz of some epic rb farm (like baium...?) or maybe 'coz is the easiest archer to level up? no clue tbh :D but i know players "abusing" of them which have like 500k+ mentee coins :x
prices for lot of items going up now
and some things going way more rare then before
For the people asking for the negative side effects, this.
The reasons why things are affordable now is because of the bots, even though as I said I do not condone it, the nature of this game is a grind fest and that grind fest is suppose to be supported by a certain percentage of players to make it easily accessible for in game progression. With the small population that the game has left, there simply is not enough legit players left to support themselves to keep the market competitive in any kind of trivial time frame, meaning that as things become less abundant, the prices go up and the players who have been playing for years and years and have established wealth in the game only keep getting richer because they will jump on the supply and demand train. It is simply economics 101, supply and demand.
Another negative side effect is, it allows one or two clans to as I said, monopolise the servers markets and keep prices high which in turn keeps people under geared and allows said clans to run a muck on castle control with little to no competition.
This has an even more adverse effect for new players again as I said, because they can barely afford soul shots let alone afford upgrades to their gear after 85 and even if you played legitimately, most clans that could assist you in the gearing up process as you levelled up, don't need or want you because most of these clans level requirements are 95+ with some being 98+. Does anyone remember how long it used to take back in the day when you couldn't spam soul shots? What about after level 91 now when you can't get buffs anymore? Then what? Just run dailies once a day for 1 hour and log out when your Iss abandons the group?
NCwest simply need too rethink on how to assist legit players progression if they choose to take this very strong stance on bots this late in the games life.
The only way around it, to keep servers in a healthy state to keep prices down and competitive so that one clan doesn't monopolise the market, is to do a server merge and we are talking possibly 2 servers here. Anyone who doesn't agree with this can just watch L2 gown down the drain even faster then it already is.
My honest opinion is, its far too late for them to be taking this kind of stance on the game now, this stance was needed 6 - 7 years ago and it needed to be upheld from there and tweaks made to the games core mechanic in terms of progression as it went on to sustain a healthy western population.
They could of easily made Lineage 3 and started fresh there and went full force against botting there and slowly let L2 die or let the players migrate over from L2 to L3. But instead they are choosing to milk a dying cow.
Of course, the prices will eventually go down, but not in any kind of normal timeframe. You would be talking years for the price checks to come down to a normalized price because people who have billions upon billions of Adena will force those prices up while trying to continue to accomplish what they do today.
You are talking about a massive shift in cultural change here, everything from crystals to make souls shots to crafting components would have to shift to become a true indicative indication on the servers current total Adena pool across all players. The cultural change would be in players not spamming soul shots anymore and being able to calculate how many soul shots they can use per kill to the point where they still make money (Prelude/C1 anyone?). Adena drop rates would have to be reconfigured and drop rates would also have to be revisited.
You are simply assuming that people or players would be willing to spend the next few years waiting for prices to normalize while playing on dead servers, simply wont happen.
Also your link is moot, that server has a huge population still, all these western servers combined would not have the same *legit* population that Lionel has.
Trying to predict what will happen on NCWest servers is of course speculation. I can only tell you what did actually happen on Lionel three months after NCKorea started their automated mass slaughter (http://www.inven.co.kr/webzine/news/?news=110934&site=lineage2). If you are seriously interested in the situation on the Korean low-population servers (Lionel is the only active server left) you could for example ask the person who posted the video on Youtube to do a similar price check on Bartz, where it often looks like this:
As to the situation at NCWest, many of the players who have billions upon billions of Adena are not legit players. If NCWest keeps up the banning, the adena and equipment in the possession of those players will be removed from the server along with the characters. Wealth will get annihilated. Common sense suggests that this will lead to a drop in prices rather sooner than later.
The main question is, will NCWest ban billionaires, who are often also buying NCoins? :D
You do realize that Tricksters can only be female, right?
They are male kamael arbalesters, and use heavy armor (lol) - that is what we all see every day. Nothing more here to say...

Most people who have billions (the ones who arent banned from botting) now have accumated that wealth over time via either playing the market or just slowly accumulating it over time. The money that keeps getting added into circulation from bots just keeps saturating it and keeping a constant turn over of itemization due to it being so cheap and due to people being able to constantly sell items, its a vicous cycle and most non-legit players arent stupid enough to keep billions of adena on accounts they will have the potential to be banned.
In all honesty, most people will quit the game if the standard of gameplay they have come custom too over the last decade changes too drastically or they stop feeling a sense of progression based on how long it will take to acheive anything if we go back to a old school state.
The game is barely holding on here, I am starting to wonder if its worth paying for ncoins or prestige anymore because I am concerned that they will announce something that will make the hundreds of dollars I have spent supporting this game, null and void.
They are male kamael arbalesters, and use heavy armor (lol) - that is what we all see every day. Nothing more here to say...
I've only seen female Arbalesters around...
Unfortunatelly while few items are exclusively farmed by bots or top clans their prices won't go down soon. Lilith/anakim, baium, ceremony belt, antharas, valakas, aq, and many more. NCWest provides us with bottle fragments and epic jewels in a very, very low chance from "events" but it still can't comprehend with the current state of our economy. Korea has it's end-gear fitted in their economy, istina earring 750kk, antharas 3.5 bil, r99 armors/weapons less than half the price we currently have. We wont get any healthy economy unless people can hold their greed and get along with the game (which won't happen anytime soon).
... and most non-legit players arent stupid enough to keep billions of adena on accounts they will have the potential to be banned.
If you check the 3rd picture from the bottom in the Inven article (http://www.inven.co.kr/webzine/news/?news=110934&site=lineage2), where it says in English "Banker Character Detection", NCsoft Chief Mathematician Lee Eun-jo has found a way to follow the money (in the green bubble the botter is thinking 기존 탐지 시스템 검출 불가/"With the existing detection system I can't be found out"). If NCWest wanted to, they could not only ban Martel (http://boards.rochand.com/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=1328&start=20#p28445) but also his Warehouse Dwarves. The question is again, does NCWest want to ban Martel and his Warehouse Dwarves?
As far as your fear is concerned that NCsoft will announce something that will make the hundreds of dollars you have spent supporting this game null and void, you can take a look at the Korean event list, which also includes L2 Store "events": http://lineage2.plaync.com/event/main/eventlist?isRunning=CLOSED&tab=2
As you can see, they have, after the outrage over the Brooch System (http://boards.rochand.com/viewtopic.php?f=48&t=1132#p23104), not added any more really game-breaking features. Leveling to 101 and getting the new Odyssey skills is something that, given enough patience, basically everybody can do :)
For the people asking for the negative side effects, this.

You are thinking of this way too simply. It seems you have a good understanding of economics so I want to make some points to consider.
You know what monetary policy is? Essentially if a government that is in debt and is unable to meet its debt obligations, what is one option that the government has to counter this? Print more money. What happens when you print more money? The power of the dollar decreases, and prices go up (an item that use to cost $1 now costs $2 considering the effect to the value of the currency [power of the dollar]).
How does this compare to L2? Think about the prices of things post GOD. The game had little to no supervision regarding automated game play for Adena farm/RMT for about 2 years; the result of which was a huge increase in the amount of Adena available in the market. The prices of items were ridiculously high. Conclusion? More Adena was being generated, and hence prices of items increased (essentially the same as printing money under monetary policy).
Now introduce aggressive ban hammer policies combined with Adena sinks (Brooch Event/NC Store Promotions in which you can use Adena instead of real money). Firstly, less Adena is being generated and injected into the market (no brainer; less bots). Secondly, Adena sinks such as the Brooch Event distribute the wealth (anyone can buy boxes with real money through the NC Store and sell it in game for Adena; more likely that 'wealthy in-game' individuals will spend Adena rather than money to obtain these premium items reducing their Adena reserves); and NC Store events that take Adena instead of money effectively reduce the aggregate amount of Adena in the market. Conclusion? Less Adena is being generated (less money printed) combined with a reduction in the aggregate Adena in the market; the effect of which is an increase in the VALUE of Adena (power of the dollar) and a reduction in prices (you can buy more with your dollar). This is justified if you compare the prices of items post GOD to now (even a few months back).
Prices will drop as illustrated by Lionel server; however, aggressive ban hammer policies must be done in combination with other strategies (Adena Sinks) to make sure this happens within a 'trivial' time frame. I think NC Soft is heading in the right direction; granted it's traveling from California to New York by Horse. *KNOCKS ON WOOD*
Good Job NCSoft; hopefully it is not just to save face.

Yep I vaguely touched on this earlier and I agree with you 100%, but as I said, how long are you willing to wait for those Adena reserves to be reduced to the point where prices start to normalize? Adena is only one form of currency in this game, while it is the most major one, it is not the only one, take resources for example, they are or can be a currency in their own right and it also doesn't help that no one is actively topping up the market place in terms of resource consumables for crafting and making items. This alone is another major issue.
With the amount of accumulated wealth in some clans, there is no possible way to exhaust it all in the cash shop or from purchasing premium items from other players because I don't believe that there is simply enough people out there simply selling Ncoin itemization as clearly demonstrated by the price ratio of Ncoin / Adena going crazy during this latest event where 8000 ncoin became worth 3.5 billion adena on Chronos. We are talking about hundreds of billions of adena in reserve here and in the current state this game is in, this allows those clans to monopolize and control servers economies to the point where they make 100% sure that under geared players remain, under geared.
If NCwest want to prolong this games longevity, then they need to address the under lining issues of why this game has gone the route it has gone and start looking to modernize the game for the western market today, not what it was 10 years ago.
The grind for any legit player after level 90 is not insane BUT it certainly doesn't fit a western play style today. Not enough dailies to keep players interested or keeping them logged in. Adena drops are pathetic when you look at the cost of soul shots consumed to kill said mobs. Drop rates on items is probably the same as it was back in C3 atm, which isn't helping top up the servers market place. Spoiling doesn't become efficient until after level 97 and you can enter Hellbound at which point, you are regulated by what you can spoil based on what stage Hellbound is in.
This needs to be handled with care though if they adjust any rates what so ever because at the current moment, servers like chromos, the current price for anything worth while is a billion plus adena. If they banhammer the game in to submission, and adjust rates to reflect a legit player population, they need to keep on top of the bans to make sure that the prices don't get jacked to the point where that 1 billion standard cost then becomes 5 billion because they have let the issue run rampant again and the issue is then compounded 10 fold.
Anyways, the game needs to assist players to get to 97 faster. I doubt there is many players out there coughing down XP runes and potions at an accelerated rate to get there in a hurry. My suggestions are as follows:
- Decrease the amount of XP required to level after 85 - 99
- Increase the amount of quests, dailies, repeatable etc. in the ranges of 85 - 99 for solo, group and raid bosses.
- Increase the drop rate of itemization, resources and adena in the ranges of 76 - 99 for solo, group and raid bosses.
- Decrease the cost of Adventure packs, XP runes and Potions in the Ncoin store so that more people have the incentive to want to purchase them.
- Implement more dungeon based group instances and environments so that players want to group up together rather then running 2 or 3 man small parties.
- Allow the newbie buff helper to buff people up too 95.
If NCwest took these suggestion to NCsoft, I am sure they would cater to a more modern westernized market by doing so. If they don't take it too NCsoft OR if they do and NCsoft ignore it, kiss this game over for L2 in the western market.
guys, after 3 years of playng on naia, this is mai time ive played, im teling you that and nweuby bot user, can have a ware house full of items and some incredible adena amount, but thei mised 1 thing they dont have to who to sell animore because of legits like me that dont play any more. Resons? A: maine char on ******* in olimpiad, B: any clan war, farmed on ranger, C:any seage dimensional seage or fortres atack is made on bots, and clans that i never seen lvling in dailis for 3 years:P D:drop rate ruined and some smart *** starts runing with any lame drop:), E: in big clans some idiot cp leader boxes 1 more char, to ricive adena in the end 2x from epic drop seling iff, you lucky and ricive a lame istina necklace, earing, etc. There fore what point to play, to buy ytems, ive tried the 30 days epics, oferd by ncsoft, on mai othell lvl 98, i cant do nothing to a ranger user, or script user, dosent mater what class iset:P, best thing to do iss hitt and bsoe before geting kiled, cas no critical hit lands, no chance to take them out.
