As you may remember, Hero Coins are set to expire at the end of the year, specifically at 12:01am PST, January 1, 2015. However, the deadline has now been extended! Hero Coins will now expire at 5:01am PST, on January 14, 2015.
Additionally, we have added a new item to the Hero Coin rewards menu. Players can now receive Pandora’s Box for just 1 Hero Coin, which is a great chance at special items.
don't know if I was lucky or not but from 700 hero coins got one dewr/ 1 dear / few full elcyum / 2 x 95 100% blessing scrolls / few kaliel energy / 400 gem r / 20 bews / sevral rare r grade cry and several lvl 5 leg dyes .... that's very good if you ask me
More money for ncsoft and more unbalance for poor player... the rich are richer and the poor get poorer like irl, maybe time to change game.
Freetoplay my balls, this is just paytowin...never play in freetoplay server if u cant spend 100/1000 $ x month...
So what exactly do you want? People to frantically buy hats and mounts so you can play for free? There's been game breaking items in the store, pandora boxes aren't one of them. Unless you count getting one dewr per 100-200 boxes game breaking.

The Hero Coin program ends on January 14th, it says so on the opening post. Whether they will start a new one after it's over they haven't said, and frankly I don't see why they 'd tell you, it's bad marketing.
current Hero program is clear and has an end date of mid january 2015
there's is no information yet available on if the Hero program will be continued after that time, if so NC will make the announcements which will include the answers to all those questions.
what's the point asking about the FY15 Hero Program if none of the rewards are even known and you will not have any Hero coins anyways then (remember all hero coins will be removed mid January) ?
as Zuff said for as long as the current FY14 Hero Program is running releasing any early information about FY15 is just bad Marketing strategy.

Its free to play, not free to win. Also, its kind of hard to win an endless mmorpg, so what the big deal? Heliaca can 1 shot u, but you dont have to fight these types of people if you don't want to.
The big question here is will NCsoft release another event for hero coin before the reset. Some people get NCcoin as Christmas presents or have accumulated Hero coin since the pandoras box. Atleast allow us another chance to use the hero coin he have left before the reset.

I 2nd this, with recent events, I have acquired many hero coins and would like to have a way to use them before they reset. Pandora's boxes would be the best IMO but maybe the Aden wheel at 1 HC a spin?
What about people who are getting hero Coins still from being a prestige subscriber? What are we suppose to do with those coins seeing they are part of a paying subscription? Do we just get cheesed out of part of a package we paid for?

The hero coins are just a bonus, like with any purchase.
You all knew very well they were gonna be reset.
The Pandora's box were just a temporary l2store promotion, they dont need to put it back, and no, they are not "cheating you".

i was excited because i was going to splurge on freya packs before the 7th... then i read this again and noticed they bumped the deadline to the 15th meaning any freya pack hero coins will be lost :(
If you buy Events Items from L2 Store in January, you must spend all your your Hero Coins in 1-2 Weeks? Its crazy! I agree to take the old Hero Coins from 2013/2014 but not if the player are spending on the Christmas 2014 Event Items.
