Personally I would not bother starting here again. The servers are run by bots and PvP in Olympiad is 100% auto scripted so you have no chance of ever winning in any PvP.
Drops are double nerfed to force players to buy drop runes just so you can get a little more adena. You will never be able to afford shots due to the increased adena nerfing; even the adena from quests was dropped to combat botting (which failed miserably).
If you want to have a hard time, lots of problems trying to find spots free of bots then by all means give it a try. Only takes a few days to reach level 85 before the real grind begins; PvP starts at level 95+ if you have good scripts. NCWest GM's are pretty much non-existent and the few times they ban bots they end up having three times as many come back. :)
If you want a better experience you can try official Lineage 2 EU hosted by Innova. They have bot problems as well but nothing like NCWest since they do have decent protection software (Frost).
Myself I started losing interesting with GoD and F2P as the game for me is not Lineage II anymore, it is a free to play cash grab that is a mere shadow of the game I remember from the early days (C0 to C6). Yes, I did not include Kamael Hellbound, etc because that's when it started moving away from the original feel of the game.
I still log in one of my four level 98's occasionally to see what's going on (Chronos) but always find the same problems. Everybody I knew has long since quit and moved on to other games.

What r u talking about, u can get easly 20kk+ from doing dailies everyday or simply make cc runs to get alot of money.
When it comes to bots, they r huge problem, but not as much as they were before. GMs from a while started banning them constantly, it is not as much crowded from bots like it was 1 year ago. At EG u can see max 1-2 bot party instead of 15 bot pts before and it is same for other locations. Even tho there r other games then L2 still remains the best game, after all those updates IT IS still worth playing it.
