A better question: Why do you still play?

because I'm spreading the word of a Classical L2 Server thats paid to play like we had back in the day before GoD did her work on the game and completely destroyed it. Should of saw that one coming with the name of the expansion. NCsoft a lot of people would pay to have a classic server like the RU/KR have classic feel with updated graphics,ui
And you are more clever than Ncsoft which is being a company hungry for money and would do whatever it takes to get more.No son, people don't like classic l2 as they talk,it's just a rattle and they know it.So they won't invest their money for some idiots who claim to play l2 classic and even P2P Puahaha.

You *******,i 've paid for even the most stupid costumes in ncstore just to give it away after i realize i dont like it.But,no one can make me pay for something which doesn't exist, which gives nothing to me but being able to play. No!

Most of players nowadays share the same, they only pay when they will get something in return, they won't even pay for things which have timer on it.

I even left innova because there it asks money to be able to box a stupid iss,for 30 days, really i don't pay for something which will make me feel as i am losing money everytime i don't play.
The problem is, before L2 went F2P(it happened even before GoD), there were only 2 half-dead servers.

Why do people think players would love Classic knowing that the drop rates are 6 times worse than the original?

Is this why classic low rate private servers have only 6000+ players (players, not bots) online?

I think the problem on why they were half dead, wasn't because it was "hard", but because cheaters took over the game. Why is everyone ignoring the elephant in the room?
Prob with the classic server for me, and maybe many others is.... I wouldn't want to start paying again and feel "obligated" to play. And along with paying, I wouldn't want to start all over again, in a world where things aren't just given to us, as we've all been spoiled by GoD.

Sure, I played since 2004, but that doesn't mean I want the old days back. I was in a different mindset then. The game was what it was, and sure I enjoy the old memories...but those times are gone. The game has evolved into what it is today, and I'm still here, so obviously I made the decision that I like it enough to not have quit.

I accept what L2 is today, and I still play because it's still enjoyable to me. That's all. When the enjoyment stops, so do I.

I mean they aren't forcing you to play, you should feel obligated to do anything in a game. It's a completely different server with different rules and feel, and everyone has a choice to pay/play on it if they so want to, but it differently would provide a much more challenging side of the game.
because pay 0 for coins
because I play with hands and with ppl who use hands
because I play when I like and when i'm free...

No no....I meant if I began to pay for a game on a monthly basis as before GoD, you feel a sort of "obligation" to play, since you're paying for it. That's all that was meant by that statement.
Among the 4 russian L2 Classic servers, only Gran Kain is above 90%-100% of its max capacity at peak times(considering bots + boxed buffers, the number of REAL unique players are much less than 6000).

Shilien and Eva are operating with 50% or so of its capacity and Maphr is operating with 20% or so of its capacity at peak times.

Shilien and Eva together are equal to one Gran Kain server and Maphr is more dead than Magmeld here.

The novelty of Classic L2 is wearing off when many people see that it is not what they expected. The 1/6th drop rates and insane grind, plus paying a monthly fee, is taking it's toll. I played on the Russian server for a week and quit, it was not even nostalgic for me as I saw nothing of what I saw in the early days of L2.

And there are bots, many bots, grinding for adena so that was about the only thing I saw that resembled the original L2 system. :D

It's a dumbed down Etherian client with the old scripts running and current 1/6th drop rates.
Grind alone is not the problem of L2C, but the class unbalances we are tired to know + insane 1/6 drop rates.

As a matter of fact xp in Lineage 1 is harder than L2, but L1 has a better work - reward equation regardind drop rates and its open world didn't fade because L1 devs haven't filled the game with instances, the class balance in L1 is also better than L2.

I think the combination of live open world + live open world pvp + good class balance(which makes pvp fun) + good work/reward relation made L1 a long term success.

If you want to have any idea of how hard is the XP in L1: in late 2013 the first Korean since 1998 was able to reach level 88:

And yet I haven't seen any level 88 in korean L1 movies I watch on youtube.

From January to September last year L1 made 178 million dollars, and in 2013 L1 made 287 billion korean won. If a grinder can't be successful, so why L1 is?
