I have an honest question for the GMs on the US server, especially Chronos where I have struggled with bots for the past 2 years. What is the difference between the Korean or European Lineage 2 Servers and the US ones? How come they don't have one tenth of the bots that we have here? I'm not suggesting anything in particular here because that would be a "CONSPIRACY POST" and probably get deleted very fast without any reply. I am just asking WHY? I really would like an answer from a GM on this public topic because I have been pm-ing GmTisephor in the last 24 hours and he doesn't reply back to me and I don't know why. Arround 14 to 18 hours ago, there was a massive Ban on all servers.
Today, I was able to finally do my quests on my last sub and go from 77 to lvl 80.
But that was today, tomorrow, the bots that were created right after the ban.
Will be back in Ketra Orc and Varka Silenos....
They already invaded Wall of Argos wich means they are already level 70 + in less then a good 14 hours, tomorrow, they will be 76 + again...
this is why we need a DAILY massive ban..
The GM's are able to see those Characters took zero breaks, non-stop hunted and are all the same classes, Dark elven summoners female, Dwarven figters male, Dark elf bladedancers male, Elven summoners Male , but they are a minority, and Dark elf Healers Male and female in minority too.
It hasn't been 24 hours yet, and we already need a mass ban AGAIN.

this game is over 10 years old, botting has been around since day 1, get used to it or go play somewhere else where there better bot protections or where bots are short lived.
Botting in Ncwest will end when the game ends. Period.
Nah man. I am a sociopath. We don't like "period"s. We get the job done. And I tried to get used to it at first, but enough is enough. And if some botters' children have to starve to death in order to prove my point then so be it. Wear a condom next time. YOU get used to ME!
Try to understand that its significant different between Korea and NA server customers. European and US customers use RMT services MUCH more frequent than Asian customers. So there is no real solid market for RMT at Asian servers.
As long as NA server players use those services there will be bots. So, everyone should take a look in the mirror and ask yourself, can I complaint about the bots? Do I use RMT?
As long as ppl use RMT, NCsoft cant battle the bots. They will keep going. If you want to make a different, stop using RMT.
There are no bot-drivers that are interested in farming and selling event or other items if they cant sell the adena they get from it. The same goes for actual adena drops, even thought that's not the main income.
If NCsoft starts to ban ppl more aggressive, we will see a higher rate of false positives, which will result in a higher rate of support tickets.
So, Stop using RMT and Account Trading = Stop the bots.

Bots don't get tired. Bot runners don't get worn out...they set their bots and let them go. It's not splitting lumber, or lugging heavy boxes, or digging trenches... it's sitting at a pc pushing buttons, and reaping easy money rewards for really doing nothing but playing. Like anything other "business" they will adjust for obstacles, and constantly make the changes necessary to continue with business as usual. These people aren't just running in L2....L2 is just one of the MANY games they have bots in. If one game's profits slow down, it won't kill them. They'll make it in other games.
I think of it similar to my Wonderous cubic toons...across my 4 accounts, all my chars have a cube....I log each character daily to hope for a shiny armor R....just because I don't get it on most of them, doesn't make me stop trying everyday...somedays I make out, others I don't. But I never give up.
Imho NCwest should ban not just simply bot accounts ( which re-appears shortly after being banned ) but deny access to the machines ( aka Personal Computers ) which were used to run Lineage 2 account with illegal 3rd party programs.
GM catches one account botting he/she blocks access to all accounts from a certain PC.
