sorry if this has been said before, but i am very intrested in playing this game just a few questions as im looking foer a good MMORPG to play and i have played a tonne of them

1.is there still alot of people playing this game? ie: easy to find groups and parties
2.is the game still being updated or is it just haulted and left as it is?

lookign for a good MMORPG, some of my previous favouriotes were FFXI, FFXIV

i mainly enjoy older school jrpgs and rpg's any input be great! thanks
1. No.
2. Yes, making it worse since, C. days.
I'd say Chronos and Naia have descent enough population.
Also having a fairly empty server can be quite interesting for certain things. Like farming Epic or even regular raids with no competition. But that's not really of use to someone just starting the game.

And yes, the game is being updated regularly. I'd say, since the Goddess of destruction update in 2011, every expansion has made the game and classes more diverse and interesting.

The game is however really old school and really hard. Certainly doesn't hold your hand nearly as much as pretty much any other mmo. It's all about the time investment, knowledge, luck, tenacity... or money, if you wanna spend a ton.
I enjoy it, but its definitely not for everyone.

Free items, free buffs in a game where buffs makes the gameplay so much easier, makes a game hard?

lol
Hue ... most other games don't even require buffs. And lets be real, the items and buffs you get are for tutorial purposes. Achieving anything beyond that, including gearing and leveling is way, way harder than any mmo i've ever played. Let alone actually learning the game, beyond the obvious basics, or refining your play style, by not only learning everything about your class, but about every other class, as is required for pvp.
I'm just cautioning him, so he doesn't jump in expecting casual ride of WoW, GW2, FF14 or whatever else.
But I think you know that... so not sure what you're getting at...
