I'd like people that bought la La Vie en Rose Jewels from the first time event to comment here if u're trying to compound again on the return of event and what are u thinking about the RATE cuz im seeing many unsatisfied people from 2 big clans commenting in clan chats about compound experience today...
They most say that is beeing hard to reach even a lvl 2 jewel (obsidian, ruby, etc...)

i got :
4 X RUBY
6 X SAPHIRE
1 X TOPAZ
14 X EMERALD
17 X AQUAMARINE
12 X DIAMOND
8 X OPAL
14 X PEARL
4 X OBSIDIAN
Ruby has basically decided to tell me to go do inappropriate things with myself. You barely get any from the random boxes, and with those you're lucky if you manage to get one to go to 3.

Obsidian was the next worst of the ones I tried.
34 ruby boxes got me a lvl4 which isn't that bad but of course it failed to lvl5 when I tried to combine it with the lvl4 I had from last event.. makes my total of lvl4 ruby's to 3 spread over 2 events with 2x fail.. :(
expecting a lvl5 out of anything less then 100+ boxes is naive as almost nobody is that lucky except for 1 orc I know but she's a different story..

I'd settle with a 4. But more boxes than you and still only level 3 (and I had a 2 coming into this event already).
The compound rates have not changed from last year.

Cuz i got 1 topaz in 80 boxes... and i think yes rate was changed since im talking to many people, some didnt even get topaz in 80 boxes, and i remember i used to got 1 to 3 topaz in each 40 boxes on first time event...

So yeah, Vali will not convince me that they didnt change rate cuz with 320 boxes on first time event u could get at least 6 topaz even with the worst luck like me...
also to get lvl 3 or 4 i think rate was decreased...

btw it took me ~130 boxes to make a lvl5 Opal last event which imo is adding more dps then a lvl5 ruby/sapphire when stacked with fishing agethion and/or 16th AP skills and/or 7sign Talisman

It is, but it varies greatly depending on just how much you can add, and who/what you're fighting. If anyone/thing has just a bit more than usual of your attack element it nerfs your damage pretty bad.
The ruby/sapphire are just nice since it's not reliant upon anything like that.
not many players/mobs have more then 560 elemental resist which you can get with what I mention and even 20 more if you use the Mysterious Wind Scroll from the NC Store or 150 more when using a Tauti weapon (but can't recommend the latter as the lack of decent oe/patt hurts dps more then the 150 ele boost makes up for)
btw how would it nerf dps if you miss to beat elemental resists when without stacking like above you will be default never overcome said resists in the first place ?
w/e obviously having a lvl 4 or higher opal & ruby/sapphire (PVE only add: Emerald) combi is the best to get
good question, I thought it was 100% but 2 Dim Sieges ago I topazed a castle scribe attempt from FS and it failed to interrupt the cast so that was quite bizar

It's not a guarantee, I've seen it not block many times. But exactly what affects it, I have no idea.
During the previous event I opened 100+ jewel boxes: out of them I got 0 Topaz, 2 Ruby, something like 60+ Aquamarine, and a handful of other jewels.
In average it took me 10-15 of lvl 1 jewels to make a lvl 3 jewel.
Since I knew the success rate on higher level jewels was pretty low, I never tried to go above lvl 3.
think i am gonna sell all these boxes as my luck is horrible

someone said it costs close to 800 boxes to make all level 4's...guess if you focus on just 1 jewel you might be able to make a 5 for 500 bucks.
even with alot of boxes its luck, not 100% sure u will get a lvl 5... idk when they will bring event again after this one, so better wait some months... if u wanna make money...

That's why I said depending what you can put into it. If it's just from the jewel (level 2-3), it's not really worth it.
If it's a level 5 + ap, + other stuff it will. But for a lot of people they would only be getting the addition of a 1-3 opal... which is going to be pretty easy to negate vs the state element independent damage from the ruby/sapphire.
I do agree however that stacking element is a nice way to go, but you sort of have to build around that specifically. It's like having a higher patk tauti weapon (just with less extra pvp damage from the SA's).

As if there was any doubt there would be a ton spend on it. I would have preferred to not spend as much to be sure. But I also know there will be people spending way more. Hero's are buying a LOT of some of the boxes, people are looking to cash in some ncoin for a bunch of adena.

If you want to keep up with the competition, you have to pay into the system. The other alternative is to break the system, but that would only get you tossed. Between having 400 dollars US in my pocket or tossing it into a game with spotty service, I'd pick the sure thing and that is something that has substance and meaning.

It's typical l2 random, meaning it's VERY heavily weighted "random". You're going to find a few people who used like $20-$40 worth of jewels and wound up with a level 5 of something, or a few level 4's. And there's going to be plenty that used a decent chunk over $1k worth of Jewels and don't have a single level 5 to show for it (and may not even have many level 4's either).

9 ish opal
and the rest I cant remember
topaz failed ofcourse.
with lvl 3 diamond I had from last year Igot to lvl 4
opal I had lvl 3 from previous that vent to 4

yeah me neither, tried like 10 times to make a ruby Lv 3... none :O

Well i agree that it shouldn't be 100% like venir :)
And i also agree those thingies are WAY OP on Lv4 and Lv5 so, i'm fine with the rates :)
I just won't FOCUS all my money/adena on it :P
