I have been here since prelude, back when you could train a bot group and get good drops.
We all know that when you ask for any repercussions, the standard response is "you police yourselves, we dont interfere"
So we have to police ourselves, I have gone red on too many toons.
I see red toons and of course I have to ask before attacking "hey, killing bots or?"
I am tired of this crap, accounts are free and easy to level so please help me and others like me out.
What class can easily kill bots without going red?
I think that now healing mobs will make you go red if the bot dies while you are still purple.
Since we have to police ourselves, let us do just that.
If you know a way (since we can no longer get drops and make adena, there is no secret lost) please help everyone else to make toons and do the job that NCSUX wont do.

I'd suggest making a summoner for that purpose, because it's the cheapest and easiest class to level, and it's less dependent on gear than any other class. You may drop all your gear but you will still have your pets.
Nukers can use Death Breath (DoT) to get the target low on hp and Hell Binding to prevent it from fighting back. Both skills work on unflagged characters.
Summoners can use 4 marks (DoT) and 2 cages (disabling) on unflagged characters.
I'm not 100% sure, but I heard that any DoT crits can kill the target and make you red, so eventually it's inavoidable.

Between summoners and nukers actually summoners are the best for the bot-PK purpose.Wynns have 4 DOT marks and 2 cages blocking target and doing DOT damage,so if they hit a mob once and you mark+cage them,for the most the work is done.Nukers death breath is high-delay compared to marks (like 30 seconds DB and 3 seconds x mark)
Marks/death breath (even on crit) wont get you red,opponent will always have 1 HP,you will eventually turn red if your summons are hitting as well.
So yeah...if you want to slay some bots go for the Wynn..even if i wonder : why would someone still bot if they're useless now? No more adenas,no more drops,no more Q rewards...mah.
Death Breath can be cleansed by the healer of the bot group. Go summoner or get imaginative with another class. Classes with the hide skill (Archers, daggers, and Sayha Seer). I used my Sayha and Yul alot in EG to pull the aggro archers onto a bot group. It wasn't 100% because the group took them as a priority but, if you find a bot group not doing anything, you can get them killed.
enchanter polymorph ability can also be used to kill bots.
i don't know if it works as well anymore, but briefly after the new areas were released, you could get aggro, drop aggro over an afk or auto hunting person and they would attack them instead.
it's much less reliable though than summoner, but doesn't require flagging.

I'd love to confirm this for you since I will mark bots often when bored on some of my Wynns I don't want to go red, but I've NEVER once gone red by marking anyone. I do this to bots a lot. I've heard the stories...I've been warned by people to be careful....but I'm telling you, I've never once gone red from marks.

Thanks for all the great information. I started a summoner and am level 70 now.
I have a spoiler and a healer about the same levels. The spoiler is 77 and can aoe in FoG. My main toon has a subclass that is warcryer, so I have 4 toons to level. I have 2 computers so I can 2 box very easily, been doing it for years actually. Is there a better place or way to level then going to FoG and AoEing? I thought about getting all to the same level and doing quests, but before I did that I would like to hear from the knowledge base we have created. Any responses are much appreciated.
