PLEASE do something about the adena spammers! The game is quickly becoming unplayable. We have been forced to turn off the shout, trade and talk channels but now they are filling private channel as well.
How are they able to spam those walls of text without getting auto ban? It's hundreds of lines of text ffs. You should be able to detect that easily and ban them. Or do you think it is normal for a MMO to have all its chat channels unusable?
Nc just loose customers cuz of lazy gms dont even bother do something... imagine players go town and 1st thing he see is this chat spam. specially the ones who dont know how to block them . just log out , delete l2 . Next day tell their friends stay away of this game, you know spread like a virus :p no new players , pvp stay dead (you can see around some of this chat owners with 500b gear thou pvp with programs) , existend players get tired and quit as well. gz good work
I agree, this is wicked annoying. Every time I log in, part of my routine is /block all these spammers. But 5-10 seconds and a few blocks later, I'm done. Later in the day or if I enter another town I have to do it again. But ya know what? It's a nuisance....not a reason to quit. I find it hard to believe anyone's ever quit because of this. If they have, they are weak souls who shouldn't have been here to begin with, if they can't handle lifes little annoyances.
non old player will quit cuz of this , but a new player who dont know even how to block this spammers will. same when he see bots covering all areas+pvp scripts will just realise how corrupted the game is and say bb (maybe some stay but not lots). the existent player after will quit cuz game is dead cuz of this situation and bla bla thats what i meant

Need a more radical change - the gameclient and gameguard and whatever else need to be reworked to block all this nonsensical macro/bot crap, but of course that requires work to be done...so I rest my case.
I have 85 in block list and bot still create 2-4 new spam chars per day and make same sh.it again and again... :mad: you know the if have more of 10-15 mails in box some new will not up, so must constant clean box to leave spot for maybe important mail from AH or clan or etc.
Please block all posts containing certain keywords. Or give us a way to block all posts that contain a keyword. It would be great just to block the name of the site they're advertising and have all posts by any toon containing it discarded.
Yes, they're going to try and find ways round it with alternative spellings, but it won't be long before I've got enough terms blocked that the website name is illegible and they'll have to start registering other domain names etc. Let's make this an inconvenience for THEM, not us!
Someone said use /block. This isn't very practical. There are several toons in each town that change daily or faster, each spamming 9 or 10 lines of text in all public channels every few seconds. Fail to block just one of these and a chat channel becomes unusable. Move to another town and you have to start blocking again. Log in a few hours later, you have to do the same. My block lists are full. I don't have a single real player blocked.
Even just preventing the multi-line posts (which ordinary players can't make!) would be a start.
PM's are also being abused . I can turn them off, sure. But then I can only talk in clan, ally and party tabs. Not very practical when you're trying to organise random pt's etc.
This problem needs to be addressed within the game system. It's all very well to argue that if people stopped buying adena then the advertising would stop, but I don't believe that's really ever going to happen. Even if it did reduce, the advertisers would go to even greater lengths to promote their services as their revenue started to dry up.
I choose not to buy adena. I would like to be able to choose not to be bombarded with spam.
Just ban those guys daily, 3-5 times a day and eventually they will give up.

Let's face it they can't change their website, (ofc they can but it's not that simple as a character creation) I advise making their www.richardsloversadena.com look like www.*****.com like swear words. it's not a perfect idea, but that's a possibility.
Then we come round to the reason why there are as many server maintenances in the first place. Bloody flooding all day every day. Too profitable it seems.

Doubt it. They seem more desperate than ever. Everywhere you turn there's adena sellers..... If business was booming, I'd imagine they wouldn't be as blatant and annoying, but who knows.

Those filters are also a function of the client.
Since they don't use the client, the filtering won't work... just like it doesn't chat ban them or prevent them from sending huge messages every time.
Ncsoft would have to recode all of that to be server side (which I wish they would), but they won't.
And banning them several times a day means nothing. accounts cost nothing to make, they will just make more.
The reason of this spam is fortune pockets and chat restriction lvl have been reduced i think to lvl 20. So this is a result.
Also not sure why NCwest reduced chat restriction ?
aswell as i remember there was a /block ban but i think this feature failed imo it can be abused with bots unless /block ban would be viable until lvl of chat restriction. Anyway NCwest should consider to restore previous settings :)
Those ******** are getting aggressive at this time in Aden the chat is completely fulled with adena spammers, use your authority NC, it's impossible to read a thing in shout.
You would think people would get mad at these spammers' tactics and boycott them just for making the very game annoying. I don't even know wtf friends and clannies were saying to me when I got on this morning lol.....I had a flashing sea of white, purple, and orange spam until I blocked them 1 by 1. Friggen ridiculous.
I'm not saying it's something to cry and quit over....but I'd love to choke one of these guys. ;-)

Indeed the Lineage2 support "does not know to face" the situation is Lineage2 DEATH and become UNUSABLE a game too complicated for the long term believe in my experience. Here it is worse than on a private server! it's crazy, but it's true !!!

I hope to Lineage3 new restrictions (new codes) will be the style of the day.

En effet le support Lineage2 "ne sait plus faire face" à cette situation Lineage2 c'est MORT et deviens un jeu INUTILISABLE, trop compliquer sur le long terme croyez en mon expérience. Ici c'est pire que sur un serveur privé ! c'est dingue, mais c'est vrai !!!

Cela fait des années et des années que j'y joue mais de jour en jour je suis déçue.
J'espere que pour Lineage3 de nouvelles restrictions (de nouveau codeS) sera aux gout du jour.
Un nouveau joueur (ou nouveau client!) sera très vite décourager par ce jeu et partira aussi vite qu'il est venue, bref courage ou iNC Corp. s'en moques.

seriously now, things have become redunkelous right now with this game and that while having a major pay2win event like the brooch jewel boxes really ?
Sadly this makes any chat functions so utterly useless specially once block list is full.
I for one and i am sure that i am not the only one in this am not going to dive back into blocklist just to see which toons might be unblocked to add new ones.
At this rate we need a block list capable of holding 1000 or more names.
Next problem for new players, who do not know of any functions they will have serious problems in towns to communicate with anyone, bar maybe PM's if lucky (but you can't PM someone till they PM if your on a lowbi toon).
I was helping someone new to L2 trough voip rather since ingame she said she did not see my messages, good thing in this case we can speak that way but not all new players have this luxery right off the bat.
Let's just say her first impression of this game was already something along the line of "if it's this bad everywhere how can you keep up with playing this game".
I have put in a ticket with ideas and suggestions which i was told to post here, figuring i will do it then since it seems this problem really doesn't go away any time soon.
1st idea:
Extend right click options so you can right click names in chatbox and get a little menu with some quick easy options like trade, whisper, friend invite and the infamous block option.
This way no need to manually type names and/or click names with the risk of making errors when doing it on wrong names or mistyping a command etc.
2nd idea:
Build in chat filters with options for wildcards like ? and *, needless to say this will be a tough one to maintain due to ways to circumvent hence the ? and * wildcards will be really needed for it.
Keep in mind only to build in options that wont just annoy real players while automated spammers being able to work around easily and actual players have to deal with the annoyances every day.
Whisper blocks after x messages are one example of a bad system, spammers get around it easily while in normal whisper conversation with even just 1 person i have to wait or switch toons quite frequently to be able to keep the conversation going.
It's also not a option to talk in clan, ally or party chat to some of these players because they might not be in clan or ally and i might be in a party already which means no option left to prevent this problem.
We don't need more of these kind of things because it just hurts actual players.
Would be nice if something was actually done. A few weeks ago I would block them and the next day my block list would be empty as the toons were removed. Now i'm drawing ever closer to my block list being completely filled and it's not just goldCEO doing it, 4 or 5 adena companies are now doing it.
Though it's fun going onto their FB page and *****ing them out.
I wish a GM would at least humor ANY of these bot/spam threads or posts with a reply. We all know you're reading them, as you selectively answer certain posts/threads that spark your interest. At least lie to us to comfort us. Or even reply saying something to the effect of "sorry players, we're over run by these bots and don't have the resources to proper fend them off". I mean hell. We know you're reading them. We know you're reading this.

this will nether stop all the time we have so low Adena drops
so put Adena in the shop or just have 50k Adena drops
or have every Item in the npc shop so people will have sell under shop price
and boss drop unsellable ,put some balls back in the game
5 minutes and there's a new guy spamming, so no use.
better disable general chat imo!

Long term fix, hire a GM 24/7 active with permission to banhammer.
Then there is no need for these restrictions.
But of course they won't do that, they need to maximize their income.
Ok........ EVERYTHING FREE. Free gear, free supplies, free enchants, free element, free appearances..everything you would be able to buy with adena or NCoin, and nothing tradeable (wouldn't need to trade, get your own).
Pay in NCoin to enter instances (non tradeable), pay to enter ANY open field area (non safe), pay to enter Oly....everywhere.
Don't need adena for anything. Perfect bot free world.
