It's a pain in the ***,but there is just 1 solution,type in all chat "/block name" and block them,you will have daily peace 'till new bots are made :D
Even if you only go through one town a day, that's going to be, at a minimum 4 added per day.
That's a minimum of 28 block list adds for just being in one town.
And that's assuming it's only that many.
I've seen Aden have ~6-8+ in a day I've had to block.
So lets just say 6. 42 blocks, just for being in one town.
Go through 2 towns, now you're at 56-84.
Getting pretty close to the block list limit there.
You go through 3+ towns a day, and you're pretty much going to be at or exceeding the block limit by the server reset.
And that's assuming you start the week with 0 people blocked.
Using the /block function for this purpose is just not really something ncsoft should be touting as a solution.

Indeed,this is not an NC solution,they can't care less about this stuffs. I did changed my chat-system in order to not read shout/trades in some chats so i can avoid this spam a bit,but it become annoing if you're chatting with some players in all-chat...
It's getting worse every day. I just ported into Giran and was able to watch as the PM I just got vanished as white chat was just spammed by BPMMO and GoldCEO bots. It took me less then 4 seconds to run out of white chat range and by that point the pm was lost forever.. they had run it clear off chat window.
The problem is they can't do anything about it. Even if they start banning them it takes seconds to make dozens more and start again. Creating accounts is free and 100% automated to these adena sellers.
NCSoft cannot place any form of protection against it because everything they do is client based and these spammers do not even use the client so they have no restrictions.
Basically nothing is going to be done as it is a losing battle so either turn all chats off or quit.

What about banning the bots, the ones that farm adena, that is what they were supposed to do in first place??? Making them not having any adena to sell and so no reason to shout?
They dont farm adena on any 95- areas so those bots have been around for a while untouched.
NC dont get this issue right cause they dont want.
