Since it was not written anywhere that first entry will get picked. the people who send in those names should get the prize.
Its like the lottery....if 2 winners have the same winning numbers then both get it. ( or at least share it )
But to receive nothing is just wrong in my opinion. They came up also with the idea and put the thoughts into it so it is deserved.
IF people would have known that you pick the first person with a good name...then maybe those people would not have taken the time to think about it and of course rushed into it.

I put a lot of thought into choosing to send in "Soul Barrage" as a kamael's feoh skill. "Soul" has to do with almost every single kamael skill and I knew that you guys would want a name that isn't something like.. "SUPER AWESOME LASERS PEWPEW", so I picked something you could actually put into the game, and when I looked at the skill "Barrage" came to my mind, and the word "Barrage" wasn't used in any prior skills, I checked ALL of them on l2wiki, so I knew it wouldn't conflict with any other skills, thus deeming it a safe and untroublesome name for you guys to implement.. and on top of that the feoh's skill looks like it is being "Bombarded" a.k.a. a barrage onto the target(s)... I mean come on I took time to think up an awesome name for you guys to use... and it won.. and I'm not getting the reward.. Well congrats to winners. The only thing i would love to say is, presentation of this "event" was way more intriguing than this event is actually is, you've said that we have a chance to leave something ingame from us for a long term, like a sign, but watching a skill named "Mass Power Bluff" made me understand that there was nothing about the leaving "sign" ingame from players, it looks like this "event" would be better named as "guess how we will name the skill" (which is pathetic) instead of "Skill Naming Contest". W/E

Don't like that "Duelist Wrath" at all: 1. there is a skill "Wrath" for preawakened spear fighters- so there is no creativity nor originality here just two existing terms put together ( existing class+ existing skill name ) 0/10; 2. and if duelist must be asociated with existing term it should be something like "Sonic" since is well known duelist thingy.
Although i like "Summon Dark Crusader" despite the fact that there is set "Imperial Crusader" and 2 "crusaders" might be too much for the game. But somehow combination "Dark Crusader" itself sounds appropriate. 9/10

BTW i strongly believe that if 2 players came up with the same idea they are both winners. Since there is two items for the 1st place you may easily split the reward: one gets Longing the other- Scroll of Blessing.

And honestly when you use skills when do you read the name of it, also a lot of people use macros so they don't even see the name. It's good to give feedback, but being so harsh is unnecessary. So if you don't like their events/contests don't go to the website and just play, if you don't like the game then stop playing it SIMPLE. It's basicly spamming if you constantly say the same thing in the forums.

11 years later and Smittie is still here calling people childish, defending NCSoft, and disagreeing with every post I and 99% of the playerbase make, while not a single person knows who his char in-game, because he knew if he told people everyone would just pk him for how he talks on the forums. If you're in college and your professor says "You have until the end of the semester to submit your project on x", then you should expect taking the extra time to make sure the project you submit is nothing less than perfect is completely reasonable. No one there would get better grades because they sent their project in early.
There was never a part of me that considered this to be a "race." This event was supposed to be NCSoft receiving skill name submissions from it's community to put into the game. A community based event. We had a deadline of March 31st, not March 13th. This was never a race.
If you want only one winner per "skill name" sent in even when there were duplicates.. then you should've put all the people's names who submitted that skill into a hat and drew a winner. That is called "fair."

I dont see the problem with the dance skill, every dance have a name like this "dance of xxx".
The funny thing about this skill is the use of "sage" with a dark elf :o
The summon is also kind of weird..
I agree completely about mass power bluff, seriously who thought this would be a good idea?
The skill names really have gone down the drain since GoD.
Mass fatal sleep, mass bullseye, mass power bluff, mass lightning strike, mass devils curse, mass mana gain.....
Compared to before GoD when the skills were somewhat original.. The sleep was called "sleep" and the AOE version was called "Sleeping cloud", im sure there are many more examples..
Ancient Scroll: Enchant Weapon (R-grade)
Enchant success rate +10%.
Current enchant stats remain if enchant fails. When enchanted, P. Atk. for one-handed sword/blunt, dagger, spear, etc. (R-grade) +6, and two-handed sword/blunt/fist, dagger, crossbow +7. P. Atk. for bows +12. M. Atk. for all weapons +5. When enchanted to +4 or above, P. Atk. and M. Atk. Increase greatly. Blessed weapons have greater increases than standard weapons.
Do these scrolls work on +15 R99 grade weapons? imagin.. +20 R99 weapon

It would be awesome if, when summoning The Dark Crusader, the summons shouts "I AM THE DARK! I AM THE NIGHT! I AM...... THE BATMAN!". But, all that wouldn't mean anything since we all know who actually "plays" that class of summoners.
The winners have had their rewards distributed, and the qualifying participants who submitted names will be sent their 1-hour Vitality Maintaining Potion with the next maintenance period. There's about 550 qualified participants.
