Everything is nerfed. But if you've patience and lots of time,you may eventually craft some stuffs (for example i have dual class spoiler [/suicide] and with spoil i've been able to craft 2 weapons apocalypse and 2/3 upper twilight) but i don't spoil in good places...you may eventually spoil r-grade gemstones in GF for make some adenas...even if the chance is quite low :D (spoiled 3/4 in 10/15 minutes doing gf's daily quest)
So...yes 'coz you may eventually create something

Well, everything is nerfed but still Fortune Seeker is the only class that gets bonus materials from spoil ( unless u're in a group ). So yeah, i'd say it's worth it. Plus Fortune Seekers are insane PVE damage dealers ( passive skill: +30% dmg to NPC ) if used correctly.

Seriously NC, remove spoil and add spoils to loot tables for all mobs so the rest of us can get some drops too. We all need those drops just as much as the Othells.

Spoiling isn't worth it anymore. The rates are so low, and finding a party willing to grind long enough is near impossible these days. You can't spoil key mats or recipes. If that's not bad enough, even when you get the occasional lvl 4 mat the market isn't paying **** for it. The whole concept of the spoiler, is to collect ALL the mats/key mats to save on craft cost and/or support yourself financially. The economy on this server is destroyed. Game is queued up for death. It seems each passing patch the spoiler becomes more useless. (crafter's double craft too) I'm surprised they don't just deep six the class already instead of making us waste our time. I heard nothing about fixes in coming patches...

I happen to prefer the promotion of fairness, both in regards to drops as well as PvP and PvE balance.
Part of that fairness entails each person receiving the same drops when they kill the same level of mobs, especially since we all have the same equipment and consumeable needs.
Something which your flippant reply failed to consider.
Othell FS here, all i can say is that PVE is better but you will have some serious issues with drops/spoils anyway. you hardly get any materials , the adena drop is crappy (just like for everyone else) and the only bonus you get is an extra 200K adena per day after selling those items so the ones complaining about how unfair it is... please. drop rates are horrible, adena drops are just as well yet when you take a look at the Action House everyone is asking 200KK - 300 KK for 1 item. even 1 Billion for one stupid item. goodluck trying to make it thinking you're going to plunder/mug them all since even though you have both skills only one of them will be effective IF it will be effective....and you won't get that much out of it anyway. they really need to bring back some adena events or something or else this game is going to hell controlled by a few bot owners with scripts that sell adena for cash as the new norm while ruining the entire game economy.
TL;DR version : It's fun to play but don't expect too much.

Just take some time and think about stats and "work" of them.
Fortune seekers,they were suppose to spoil extra items from mob,but the chance is so low that it's totaly useless. Also the new "craft" system and "item" system sux,you must level up to 95+ to gain some lv 4 and lv 5 mats...i guess level 5? Even becoz i don't have the lesser clue about "what i use level 4 or 5 items for? i can craft items R99 with level 3 mats...so what about the others?"
That aside let's think about their skills active/passive:
Compared to the others,the FS have only their HP as boost (which is not bad) and the 30% dmg to NPCs (not bad either,sadly i've main GH and dual FS and i must say that my damage looks better with the FS than with GH against mobs).But the others have better skills as for example -10% delay,+10% crt dmg or the human one...which does...nothing?not sure,i don't like othell adv anymore :D
As for active skills,it lack of 1 "defensive" skills,making them quite weaker dagger vs dagger.
But in the end,their damage sometimes can allow you to one hit a under geared or same geared player than you.It's not bad,truly.
But taking care of everything in the end we get :
Lower PVP dps
Low chance to spoil (which is what they were meant to do...so what if it sux?)
Lower survival chance in PVP 1vs1
Higher PVE dps
For some kind of men or women/girl,for sure the dorf may be cuter than other races.
(Spoiler is the same as every "ignored class" of the other kinds,for examples,if you pvp in the end,you can only see Feoh SPH or Feoh NM,the other Feohs are rare to find since their passive/active skills are weaker,Tyrr warriors mostly are duelist or titan,daggers are mostly GH,and Yuls mostly GS or TS,'coz in the end they're all the same,but some got better passive/active skills)

With the spoil rates the way they have been for the past couple of years, imo, spoiling and crafting are things of the past and not something that the game currently supports.

excellent post but you forget one thing. not only dwarfs can be O FS , my main is an Elf but i guess koreans simply had to ruin the fun for everyone 2 years after i come back. i mean seriously, you will get items but at the end of the quest they will even ask ADENA FROM YOU to collect those items!!! it's total ********, quests are worth nothing so just pray to get in a party for RB every day and do K85 solo , group , zaken , freya etc etc until you drop because this is the only way to get proper gear/drops for the sole purpose of selling it for adena on the AH and praying that someone with enough adena can actually pay for your items. this is what the game turned into. Path of awakening was simply too good to be true.
