5 days was certainly a long time to be away from a great source of entertainment. I miss reading posts about how the players are enjoying the awesome content and customer service. great job getting the forums up in a timely manner.
Mistakes like this should be made by a 3 man fresh from college startup shop.
Actually they would've fixed it in a couple hours...
Unfortunately, with the major back end system changes we made, it affected the forums. It affected a lot of things so issues were prioritized. Things break, period. Without understanding the intricacies of web development and the differing set ups every place has, we cannot make the assumption how long a fix could have taken. Could things have gone smoother? Definitely. Did we plan for the worse? Count on it.
How about Aion boards?
