For the legit ppl always do we need to delete our GG folder and instal it back after the update or we can log normally in the game with our current GG and it will work fine and correct?

If you never deleted or disabled GG and have been playing with it running, then you don't need to do anything. Just update the game and play as you have been.

Set base server XP to 200% for 30 days would be fair. It was done before for an update or part of an event, so its do-able.
Meh, planed ahead and bought marph scrolls to last whole month and planned levels ahead, and now this happening.. oh well hope the compensation will be something to look for.

Here's a very simple idea how to fully compensate the loss of passes for everyone.
You just add to L2store all kinds of Kartia passes for 1 adena each, limited to 1 pass per character once a day.
This limited offer should last till the end of September.
+1 this idea is gold would work out the same for almost everyone who looses at least the kartia passes, combined with server 200% setting that would be awesome if you guys could do this.

200% base xp is a sick idea, it's highly exploitable and nowhere near equal, but much greater than those stinky wind scrolls.
Fair compensation imo is Tersi for 15 to 30 days. Hard to exploit, needs to go turn each hour and so on.
Another good ideas would be make the same scrolls available in the l2store as a pack of 200, set to expire on sept 30, both pack and scrolls.
Third option, endless vitality. This will stimulate some vit eruption portion purchases and the free to play will benefit quite well too. This is probably the easiest if all to setup.

Well as already posted, set setting to 200% xp+sp and add Kartia Passes limited to 1 per Char and not to Account.
As for myself i horded about 2000 maphr scrolls and bought cheap Passes to boost my alts inside Kartia 85/90
Normally the sale and event details go up shortly after the maintenance, so I'll make sure they're posted as soon as possible tomorrow.
This is what we asked NCW soo often to change. Hand out infos about Store changes a few days before Maintenance. That way ppl can decide if they spend Ncoin for current Store items or the coming ones.

Nice idea but it will wont be fair. We will lose karia passes and 200% xp/sp scrolls, not any other items.

1st week of the event i bought 4,000 Ncoin ...Learned that the Weapons where indeed "RARE" as where the items worth more the 150 million Adena. But ok...now i had 3 weeks to use the 100's of passes and scrolls on alts..
But than Discovered in the final week that i had 4 more weeks!!! so i decided i would roll the dice and spent 4 billion adena on Carrots ..won about 800 million adena in items...and confirmed i was not going to ride Galup on my path to hero....but i had my passes and scrolls..
had i known i would not have bought the carrots if 80% of the bags would be empty 2 days later.
I should've read the boards first. I really wanted the bow and thought that the items were extended until end of September. Within the last 5 hours I bought 32000 NCOINs for the carrots.
P.S. All were crap items and sold for about 1B adena per 8000 Ncoins spent. NCSoft: 4 Me: 0

I think the idea of 200% server settings is a Bright Idea specially with the new implemented Gameguard, people will be encourage to "cheat" therefore you will have time to make adjustments on how to furthermore improve your gameguard and detection techniques.

After that, I want to add that I play legally without any illegal programs. And as the hero look what happens is chatting up his hands fall. "GZ level 103 ....." How long ago entered a new add-on? I have 96 level and so fast I can not level up even bearing scrool 200%'m sitting almost 8 hours and play and as fast as 99 to 103 XP can not raise

What's there you just do kartia with us? logical that the loss is in XP since xp maphyr not adena. You have to be solved by giving Freya Scroll or xp Bonus. Has nothing to do with kartia item. It is feasible to put 200% for a week or Buff dragon for a week would be ideal not spend $ 30 on carrot for lost item and a lot of people with +1000 maphyrs on the bench.
For me dragon buff for one week this good. + An NPC that buff vitalit stay for 1hr. avoiding botting
As for me: 200% XP settings would be nice, or Tersi's Herald (but it's bugging sometimes and dissapears) or perma vit as someone said to use some of erupting vit pots.
Many ppls had some planned actions around that maprhs and k-passes and even bought them in huge number so... angel cat won't be good option to calm down mad players believe me :D
And next time set an announcement a bit earlier and IN GAME too cause many ppls don't know about it cause they could not read forums in last hours...

I like the idea of a + 200% xp event for a set duration, or even a "locked vitality" for a set duration (full vit for all). I'd even be happy with 100%, or 50%. I think any of those would be more than enough, since a lot of people didn't even participate in the event, and the Maphyr scrolls were only 30 seconds at a time anyways with vit, and we're talking a 24/7 compensation. But I hate the idea of having to go visit an npc for the xp buff..it's such a pain to have to revisit when changing classes, or when you want to rebuff it because there's only a few mins left, and you want to enter a kartia or something...it's just annoying. But IMO beggars can't be choosers, so if you all feel so guilty that you have to give us compensation for something, the npc is more than fine too. As for 1 adena extra passes in the store, that's cool too, although I'm not really hurt by any of this because I planned ahead and avoided a loss, and sold all mine in bulk at discounted prices. I'll only have like 5 or 6 deleted on me, that I kept for personal use. But take them, I won't miss them. Long term, you should really consider lifting the 2 kartia per day limit. It will spark an actually want/need to buy extra passes at normal prices in the store. Currently, I don't buy them from the store, because we can only do 2 a day anyways. I'd do a handful a day if it were allowed...and I'm sure I'm not alone.
Other than that, I really don't think we need compensation...we bought items with an expiration, and they're expiring. We really need to stop catering to a crybaby crowd. If you feel so guilty for promising us an extra month and we didn't get it afterall, then feel free to compensate us for that....your misspoken statement, not for something we already should've known better about.

The blanket +200% or Tersi rewards a lot of people who didn't really lose anything from the (inadvertent) misdirection.
There are people (like me) who bought carrots from the L2 Store upon hearing maphr and passes would be available through the end of month, or paid adena for some (like me) similarly. The adena side may be impossible to determine, but anyone who used the L2 store to buy carrots in the interval between Buster's "end of month" and "oops" announcement could be compensated by giving Type III runes or similar.
That said - I think the 200% bonus makes it easier for the "bad people" -- Tersi or a vitality filling station at least forces people to town and are harder to exploit.
Update: depending on what is in the next event, perhaps anyone buying carrots in that interval (say - Monday+Tuesday) could receive event items similar in effect to the carrots (like whatever a 4000 carrot purchase would map to).
make a gm play live in each server having to level up a toon to 85 each day. Thats compensation enough for me, if the gm any good he can go into oly or coc for an hr or grind in the lvl 100+ spots...shoot maybe even give out buffs to any friends he makes. have gm's do that for 2 weeks so theyy can feel our pain.

Stop already with the brooch items being sold by mammon on korean servers, as their mammon got same sell list as we have. Only eu/ru got brooch at mammon.
I like the passes @ 1 adena idea for the month. As for the scrolls, they weren't really that great, not deserving a month of 200% xp. They were more of a pain in the *** to use then really worth. I'll bet more people didn't lose them then did. I lost a hundred or so but really don't care. Don't reward the bots and people that didn't have them.

At least to me that sounds fair cause the people that lost something they payed for will get the rewards instead of the whole server.

Maphr have 1 min cooldown. I dont understand why ncsoft can't just not delete scrolls. It is fix one SQL query, why always thing around ncsoft so complex. I think it is only show/perfomance to us, players. It is more looks like as truth that ncsoft make bad balance of event and now can't fix results. So decided simply vipe scrolls. Cuz with scrolls runes from l2store (the only saint thing for ncsoft) goes to 2nd plan.

Second, a base XP boost increases proportionally with modifiers so running full boost with a base increase of 200% would be INSANE.
My vote is for a base increase of 50% for a month (just like we got for the last anniversary). Also, I HATE the Tersi idea for one simple but significant reason. You can't use Kaliels XP potion with Tersi so, if I decide to blow some cash and run full boost for an hour (or 10) having Tersi only gives me a 50% boost over what I would have had. If they put Tersi up for a month I wouldn't complain but I would rather have a base boost :).

Then they had 5 full servers and it was years ago, also they don't put events like that anymore. I can understand that people used 100 accounts then but from 100 to 3 is a bit much considering the situation of the servers now. Sounds to me is a good time to lift that limitation cause it only affects the legit players the "rest" have the way to log more anyway!
Boosting base xp is best idea. The scrolls gave a boost of 200% and if used effectively gave amazing boosts. I bought coin to use vit with map hrs to boost to 100. I don't want kartia passes

The people that was affected is casual players, that used these scrolls and passes to go 2x kartia per day, and maybe some other instances to benefit from the 200% exp.

Do you not know how XP modifiers work? A 50% base XP boost is comparable to using a Maphr's scroll (more if you are running full boost).
Let me illustrate:
If Base MOB XP = 10m then with Maphr's the same mob will give you 40m XP (have to have vit for Maphr to work so 300% increase)
If Base MOB XP = 15m (ie. 50% boost) then with JUST Vitality the same mob will give you 30m. With Vit + Erupt you will get 45m. With Vit + Erup + Freya you will get 60m.
Now, consider that Maphr's only works 50% of the time and it should be obvious that a base boost (of 50%) is equal to or better than running Maphr's while grinding. The exception to this would be raid bosses but the difference still isn't that great.
Can you imagine what a base increase of 200% would do! Don't get me wrong, if NC did that I would drop a lot of cash on modifiers and loose sleep for the next week or two grinding but it won't happen.
What about farming 300% xp easy on epic t a uti, istina and octavis? **** gave like 10bxp each

You should see the xp that guardians give with maphyrs scrolls active, its a nice chunk. The scrolls worked GREAT in AF too where mobs take a while to kill, but give HUGE amounts of xp/sp.

During ertheia launch they gave us a 50% boost.
200% boost is 3x the current exp, 100% is double the current exp.
And giving us a 50% base exp would be nice sure, but again, it would not really favor the people that was affected, in my opinion atleast.
And I know how much exp a guardian give with maphr scroll, ~450m exp, that is not very impressive considering i would get 50-60m from the normal mobs and i could kill 10 or more of those by the time i finished killing the guardian.
So is there any maintenance currently that would affect being able to change account information. IE Change account passwords or email addresses, etc. Tried logging into the forums for work and kept getting an error when trying to enter to Verification Code.

I like the idea of a + 200% xp event for a set duration, or even a "locked vitality" for a set duration (full vit for all). I'd even be happy with 100%, or 50%. I think any of those would be more than enough, since a lot of people didn't even participate in the event, and the Maphyr scrolls were only 30 seconds at a time anyways with vit, and we're talking a 24/7 compensation. But I hate the idea of having to go visit an npc for the xp buff..it's such a pain to have to revisit when changing classes, or when you want to rebuff it because there's only a few mins left, and you want to enter a kartia or something...it's just annoying. But IMO beggars can't be choosers, so if you all feel so guilty that you have to give us compensation for something, the npc is more than fine too. As for 1 adena extra passes in the store, that's cool too, although I'm not really hurt by any of this because I planned ahead and avoided a loss, and sold all mine in bulk at discounted prices. I'll only have like 5 or 6 deleted on me, that I kept for personal use. But take them, I won't miss them. Long term, you should really consider lifting the 2 kartia per day limit. It will spark an actually want/need to buy extra passes at normal prices in the store. Currently, I don't buy them from the store, because we can only do 2 a day anyways. I'd do a handful a day if it were allowed...and I'm sure I'm not alone.
Other than that, I really don't think we need compensation...we bought items with an expiration, and they're expiring. We really need to stop catering to a crybaby crowd. If you feel so guilty for promising us an extra month and we didn't get it afterall, then feel free to compensate us for that....your misspoken statement, not for something we already should've known better about.
It was a fun event....many made a nice chunk of change, some made a crap load of change. Glad it's over...let's move on. TY

Bots currently login without gameguard, if this is going to help vs bots or not.. who knows, hopefully bots will not function with gameguard enabled.
The change is more than likely server-sided, the server will check if people are running gameguard or not, if not, they get kicked.

Stop bots ? This is the best joke as ever from GM's. Don't dream about that. Even if GameGuard version is upgraded and make more restiction, in few days, all software will be updated and will works again ...
They failed thousand times to do that.
Even just for thoses stupid spammers, they cannot do anything.

no way to completely stop bots since people get them for free one of the sites is Gary's Hood which the bots and auto clicker are taken from runescape since the bots are literally universal for almost any game online

Depends. At least one very famous pvp soft works fine with GG enabled. And one other old PVE bot has an option to play with GG, but this is not so good, since you will have to load , let's say, 7 game clients to farm. Not all PCs can handle this.
Still, PVE botting without game client is most convenient, of course, and it will bring some annoyance for sure if NC will close access to server without GG.

True that, but it needs to replace windows system file in order to kidnap ur connection and be able to read and inject packets....sooo hard to detect :)
Set base server XP to 200% for 30 days would be fair. It was done before for an update or part of an event, so its do-able.
I was thinking more like 300% with a 500% drop rate increase would be fair compensation...because lots of people bought scrolls from others, so no amount of XP alone will be fair in their estimation.

the window limit came early on in GOD, when they had an event called Tersi's light that pretty much required you to login multiple toons and idle in town all day to get event items. As a result nobody could login and play, cause servers were full 24/7. So they limited clients per pc. Has nothing to do with bots.
Reduced drops are mostly an incentive to spend more dough at the L2Store.

Lag is so extreme the game is completely unplayable. Updated client normally as with each update. Logged in after several failed attempts and can barely move around.
Deleted GG folder, did file repair. Logged in again, and lagging for several seconds.
Is it possible to give us any more info on the gameguard / 'illicit activities' part of the update? I've not seen any adena spam in town yet (great!) but I've just had a quick look in the Wall of Argos on Chronos and there are dozens of DE summoner bots jumping on every mob spawn - it's as bad as it ever was.
Does this mean that (at least for now?) this update hasn't been effective, or is it part of a bigger plan? Any moves to reduce bot numbers is really welcome but a little more info (without giving the game away to the botters!) might head off some frustrations that I know so many legit players have with this problem. Gameguard being required is a part of a larger plan. It's not a magic bullet that will solve everything (as no one solution to the bot problem is) but along with GameGuard and more aggressive monitoring and banning of bot accounts we're hoping to do some real work to clean things up.

Any word about the severe lag???? I've reset my modem/router, updated, deleted game guard folder, did file repair, deleted game guard folder and l2.bin did file repair, and still every time it takes several logins just to get in game and the lag is so severe I can't even play. Two steps then lags for 5-10 seconds. No matter where you click the game is never in synch with where the toon is headed.

I'm just not overly worried about any losses I had, and sure, it would've been notable if the items all disappeared today. But I work hard for everything I have in life, and this "game" is a release....I just plain don't care as much, nor get sad about things like this. I bought many many carrots, and didn't get squat....but it was fun. Event over. I'm cool with that. And no, I've never purchased or used any kind of "rune" or booster. I'm casual, and play a couple hours a day at most now. I've got better things to do. That's why vitality sounded good, so I can get more out of some dailies. My side of this is over, have a nice day

I think the idea of 200% of XP until the end of the month would be great, enjoying wanted you guys analyze this idea, creates areas of fisheries according to the level, For buy a 30-day pack prestige and use it only 3 hours a day and a bad idea, it would be interesting to let the char fishing in a xp area equivalent to the level + the prestige pack xp bonus, or make xp rune count only when the character is logged in.

You don't need to apologize...and I honestly wasn't attacking you, or anybody in particular, just the philosophy that everybody is entitled to get something for free, if they "cry" enough for it. I simply added that statement because my mindset going into the event was I'm going to get screwed most likely, and sure enough I did. But after convincing myself that I'm doing it for the fun and thrill of the chance of winning something, and to stay positive no matter what... I wasn't overly hurt in the end when the worst case scenario happens. lol. I guess after seeing how you snapped so quick, that maybe I should've kept some of my thought to myself. I too apologize to you for being a bit offensive in my comment...but bear in mind, I didn't connect it to you personally in any way until you jumped out at me. ;-) ....
But to stay somewhat on topic.... granted some sort of compensation did come if this didn't get sorted out for us, still should be somehow attached to the actual people that purchased Ncoin during the event. It should be easy to see who spiked during the event above and beyond their normal spending, and the less frequent spenders that jumped in just during the event..........just seems the fairest.

And this is what i really don't like and why it often get asked to post about Store updates way earlier.
As for myself i bought these packs from players at the last event to resell em later.
After some time most been spend and price was going up again, so i made a shop to sell em.
But Save Cards came back -> price Lesser Giant Stones dropped again to nothing.
Card sale ended and while i was doing shops all spend Adena obviously for Carrots praying for the lucky win (cos Luck or simply spend NCoins until you get it is all L2 is nowadays).
Now these Giant stones are permanent. I mean wth...
With all this unknown L2Store adding NCW totally faked up the market.
No1 is rly buying anything anymore for resale. Hell it could be in the store sooner or later.
Literally there is not much left ig now to play the market.
- Crafting is dead since ages.
- Epic jewels? I know dozen of ppl that still have the Raid Boss Jewel Packs.
- Farming Raids for Bottles? Market dead too.
- Spoiling mats/recipes ? Useless
- Doing Raids for drop? Well gj, 90% it's 1 Rune Stone + 1 craft pack for a CC of 14 ppl..
- Selling your old R or R95 Gear? Only if you hand it out basically for free. No new players, the few really new ones have no way to gain adena to buy it.
Game went way to crazy with l2store stuff. Only way to get endgame gear now is to buy a lot of Ncoins and do legit rmt.
I play L2 since C2. Spending more time in towns and playing the market as i spend for xping. Now it's not worth anymore.
Log in, buy 8k Ncoin, get full xp+sp boost and hunt. Got lvl 99, but no Adena for Gear? NP, buy 80k Ncoin and buy gear.
Endgame gear never been that incredible overpriced as now. 18b+ for Bl. Anthy/Vala. 45b+ for pvp set, 65b+ for Lindvior and so on.
The only reason why it doesn't increase even more is cos many "top dogs" quit out of boredom and failed game management selling their stuff on the black market.

So, everything in the permanent table, which includes the Lesser Giant's Lucky Enchant Stone, the Soul Avatar Giant's Placid, and the Vitality Party Cake Pack are permanent store additions.
