This happened about 2 weeks ago at chronos.
I have an In-game female healer friend who likes to invite me for her instance party, raid, Xp party etc. on regular basis. On this day, she was telling me how frustrated she was being a healer and how slow leveling is for her, especially healers can't really solo post level 90. So, I decided to awaken my old LvL90 Yul and give her some powerleveling at Fairy settlement. Since my Yul was on a sleep for such a long time and thus naked, I had to transfer some gears from various alts which took good 10-15 minutes. So she headed for the best spot at Fairy settlement to secure the spot. But then the problem arose. A full xp party showed up and started leveling at the very spot she thought she secured. There was some argument and it became 1 healer vs entire party...They kept flagging her telling her not to bother them.
SHE GOT VERY UPSET!
So, when I got there she told me to kill them all. I asked her, "Are they bots?"
"NO!" she said. anyways...Since I saw them flagging her almost killing her,
and they all turned pink...I killed them all...
My Yul with +12 Blessed Apo Bow, AQ soul, Baium Soul, Abundance LvL1,
LvL 3 Lavienda Rose gems....was enough to wipe the whole party, level 87-90 party I think, grouped together looking for some good leveling for themselves for the day...all of them in immortal sets and none-shiny requiem weapons...They stood no chance...Just 2-3 shots per kill and they couldn't even cut down my CP. I felt so bad afterwards. I did what I did cuz of my In-game-Lineage2-GirlFriend...but probably was not the right thing to do.

I see guys at a bar picking up a fight because of their woman. It's like girls start to argue and one girl brings her man, and the other girl brings her man, and the 2 men who have never even seen each other before and probably could've been best buddies without their female influences, are suddenly thrown into a situation with no choice but fight till their death just to prove how much they care and love their women! OMG! Some fights with fists but sometimes things get more extreme and knives or guns are used! OMG!

Ya know...she told them the spot was secured. They chose to use their brawn to overpower her, bully her, take from her what she tried to stake claim on. They had it coming. Don't appoligize. They should appoligize. I get your point, but if you wipe the shh of an a hole, it's still an a hole.

Most wars start over religion or women, I saw you shout about that last night, I'd of done the same. No need for apology, this is a pvp game, need more of this!
Fighting over choice hunting spots used to be the primary source of PVP in this game. It's not about right or wrong, but who can dominate and hold ground. Sure, the courteous thing would have been for that party to accept your friend's advisory and find somewhere else to hunt. But they weren't wrong for telling her to piss off, or else. Nor were you wrong for turning up and showing them that might trumps all in a PVP game. All the other stuff -- honor, courtesy, fairplay -- while welcomed, are not required.
Side note: Tell your friend that she's a healer and if she finds the right parties, she will level at a much quicker pace. I can't promise that playing the class will be any more fun, but at least it won't be completely like watching paint dry all of the time.
Some guy once challenged me for my spot in fairiy settlement, claiming he had killed the 2 bots on the ground and had only left to clear karma. I called his bluff, since he was a summoner, and summoners dont even have to go red to kill bots, just dot em up.
He said he has pk scrolls and does whatever he wants, and maybe he should go red on me too!
I told him just because you have items dont mean you get to be stupid, and by all means pk me since it was no exp loss event, clever guy!
So him and his ISS on battle rhapsody attacks me, he probably had lvl 2 buffs, I had newbie buffs, since I was only 87 at the time testing my luck in the spot where the fairies are a little bit higher lvl (since the area i was supposed to be in was too easy).
I kill them both.
A few mins go by, by now I've even deflagged from the pvp. His friend arrives, this one is a 97 summoner, pets look fairly dark red to me, but I kill her too. Figuring im now low on hp the first summoner attacks again, so I end up killing him a second time.
At this point I'm losing interest in even keeping the spot, if I'm gonna keep being interrupted all the time anyway, so I pm the guy asking "are you gonna bring a lvl 99 next?". He says ya, his 99 dagger main.
I tell him he can have the spot, I'm not gonna continuously pvp a 99 dagger on a 87 feoh to get some exp, I can literally go anywhere my lvl and get the same exp without any hassle.
He tells me there is no way I can be 87 and beat a 93 and 97 summoner like that. So I friendinvite him.
Feoh and archers have always been overpowered at open pvp :x
Back to OP... no need to apologise to them haha, I constantly run into situations where xp spot ownership comes into play, usually me being there for hours and some guy walking in and trying to take over the spot. Will end up fighting most of the time, if I win I stay, if I lose, I'll give it a few more tries and leave if I can't get him back :P
But at the end of the day, it's a game, and losing XP isn't a big deal anymore with 100% healer rezes (everyone should have a pocket aoere!) If one chooses to release instead of waiting a short while for a rez, that's their choice. Heck, xp loss on death from 1-90 is *easily* recoverable.
