Things to know about Wynn EM

First of all,im an EU player. I post here because in EU forums i dont remember my main account email so i create others but every account i create,i get banned because "i break the rules and i have 100 infraction points" so,in other words, this is a perma ban. So i cannot post on EU forums, but the main account of the game still online.

Well after cleared this,i need to know things about Wynn Elemental Master, because im lvling an Elemental Summoner and in few days gonna be awakened.

For example,Wynn Merrow, players in the game says that is the tank summon, while Wynn Seraphim is the ranged attacker. And Wynn Magnus is the close range attacker.

After say this,i need to know if the players are right or are wrong because its my first summoner in L2 and i want to know what every summon does.

I only seen in action the Wynn Seraphim, attacking from distance, but i never seen the other 2 summons in action.

So,its a good idea to know what every summon does before the awakening, because then, when i awake,i will do things right in Kartias.

Another thing i want to know is the equipment at lvl 85 at awakening, actually im equipped with light armor and two handed magic blunt. Is a good idea to continue this line after awakening???? In other words,Wynn Summoner must have equipped light armor and magic weapons????? Because ive tryed to equip with bow,but summons loss defense,so i equip a two handed magic blunt and the difference on summon is cleary better.

Well hopefully Wynn players can help me.

Ah,and i post this on this subforum because the answers are quicker. If this thread is wrong here move to the Wynn Summoner subforum.
I didn't know people actually PLAY summoners, thought they were all bots and fast leveling dual classes, guess I'm no help.

Stay with robe and 2h magic blunt.

Tanks are just that, tanks.
They have a agro skill, which does not work very well in PVE, so that summon is useless.

Seraphim are long range, they also have an AOE attack.
Best one for grinding, put "Auto defense" on in the pet window and just mark all mobs around you - win.

Magnus are short range, one good skill (they can jump on enemy and slow their speed), they are the best for raid bosses.

Think thats it..

Very funny, would you like a cookie or something?
Now stop spamming the forum with your pointless ****.
Stay with robe and 2h magic blunt.

I need to do one last question.

Why some summoners equip with bow and light armor???? Its a good idea in awakening???? And still now???? Im 75 atm.
Why some summoners equip with bow and light armor????

Because they are dumb, and, most likely, xping in a bot mode.

Equipping a summoner with bow (for PvE) did make sense a few updates ago due to high PAtk, but then there was a patch that changed the stats so that only one weapon is now optimal for a summoner: 2-handed magic blunt (Retributer).
Only retributer, and nothing else.

Remember that most damage in PvE comes from your summons; to increase it you have to spam the marks (they both debuff the target and inflict damage over time).
In PvP the summons' damage is negligible, so you'll have to rely mostly on marks.
The marks' damage depends on your MAtk, so, if you're planning to be strong in PvP you'll need a staff with high MAtk.

Light armor is recommended, but you can wear other types of armor as well.
E.g. you may need to wear a robe set to fight against mystic classes in the Olympiad.

As soon as you awaken, you can test your summons and see for yourself what they can do.
Any summoner class has 3 types of summons: tank, melee, ranged.
In PvE you use either 2 melee summons (they have better dps) or 2 ranged summons (best for AoE or when the mobs are too scattered).

For example, when I do group Kartia (I do it solo with a boxed buffer) I use ranged summons since they have AoE attacks. Before the final boss comes out I switch to melee summons.
In solo Kartia I use ranged summons only, and AoE it all the way.

In PvP most summoners use either tank+ranged summons combo, or two tank summons.

see that's not absolutely true, a focus (or dual SA) bow is still an excellent weapon, especially till R95. I happen to have a highly enchanted dual sa apo bow and still prefer it for any summoner duals over the retributer, and tbh would still prefer it even if t was just +3.

Though it's true, if you are a summoner getting event or shadow gear then get retributer. Or when you get past level 95 or so.

Do you have higher casting speed with that bow than with retributer?

Which weapon gives you higher MAtk?

How do you feel when you fight 1 on 1 a summoner armed with retributer?

How useful is your Focus SA?
(I bet it gives something around +15 Crit rate increase on your summons.)
Well,i equipped a light armor and bow, because the guy of the ingame said me that is the best for pve,and summoners are not good on pvp,not made for pvp. This guy is right?????

Did you even read this thread?

And yes, summoners are not good for mass pvp, but if you're planning to play this class as your main you should consider pvp options as well (participation in the Olympiad, at least).

Well,i made the summoner with pve in mind, for make adenas and do pve things solo,i mean without iss. For pvp i have a feoh, people said that feohs are better for pvp,but i need adenas for upgrade all and the first that im going to upgrade is the summoner, for make adenas. Anyway i equip with bow and light armor because i always can subclass as an archer and the guy that said me to equip this, have light armor and bow and its summoner too. I dont want to do pvp atm.
