Actually im leveling a prophet and i equip it with heavy armor and two handed sword. Still i have a problem killing NPCs because i need more time to kill one than a warrior like warsmith or destroyer,when the warrior kill 2 or 3 NPCs,i only have killed one. The criticals are awesome btw. So,i would stuck with two handed sword when i awake???? Or i need to change to dual swords at actual lvl (A grade) and when i awake i would equip the same (dual swords) ???? Or maybe its better weapon and shield for be a knight at subclass (and still be good at defenses) ????
Iss can use all debuffs with 2h sword, stop feeding him false information.
Doing damage is not really your job though, and even with the best of weapons, your damage will be low compared to actual damage dealer classes.
Sword and shield has seemed to become popular, especially for the ppl using knight harmony on themselves.
The sword and shield combo seems that is the best with the Iss SM.
My Iss gonna be Hierophant and seems very serious pose with the 2 handed sword xD But with the last changes to kartia (now is more difficult) the best its to use sword and shield with knight harmony...

Imho the best weapon is dual sword/blunt.
Ive seen some Isses with 2 handed sword,so its the reason of thread.
True, I've seen the same, especially during Kartia party. Maybe they use it too, but the long sword belong to their dual class (for example, they are tyr).
It is not. Iss can not use debuff skills with your 2h sword.

Normally, I would not agree with the "Wizard of Oz" A.K.A. Smitte, but he is right. The 2 Hand sword is a effective weapon when your in Kartia, Exp Parties and Solo grind. The Damage is higher with this weapon (check your Patk when using one) than a single sword, dual or blunts. UNLESS, you have OE duals, or Single Weapon.
Now, you can and probally will sacrifice HP bonus or the dual weapons or single weapon (Health/ body). The role of a Iss is to SUPPORT the Damage dealers in the fight. Debuffing, Assiting in Healing and Crowd Control (CC) are the bread and butter of a good iss.
Can a Iss Solo EXP? Yes, however if your 99, and your soloing then something is really wrong. Plus, you would benefit from making a DD and boxing your Iss. However, if you are in a strong or functional exp party, the little amount of Damage you can bring(aside from your debuffs) will help in the overall result, fast exp gains.
Every little bit counts, the stews, the dyes, that one + on your gear and weapon. So yes, if you have the funds, or are in a decent clan, use what you can to make it easier on your group. I love how people will call out what you can or can't do in this game, but don't contribute to enhance their performance in game. So, forget these " You Can't do this or That" and experiment with you character, ask question to those willing to teach.
Depending on the situation, my ISS Hiero switches between two weapons. I use Tauti Duals when I'm soloing. For raids, I use a simple +8 Apoc sword with 300 element and 12% Health & 14% MP and 12% Health & 6% Acumen SAs (I may be off on the percentages) with a shield. I usually wind up being strictly support with Raids, so staying upright, keeping everyone buffed, debuffing and occasionally healing is all my job entails, hence the sword and shield.
