Duo 55%
Trio 40%
4 men party 32.5%
5 men party 28%
6 men party 25%
7 men full party 28.7%
Conclusion?
Small party Exp is only good until 4 men; so if you are getting 5 or more, might as well have a full party.
It's interesting that 6 men party gives less Exp than 5 men or 7 men.
Solo Kartia party instance = 100% i.e. DD + Iss go in, Iss buffs and heals ONLY without hitting the boss and recalls at the last minute = remaining DD gets 100% of Boss Exp (+Freya or Maphr's)
carrying on....
This is why +12 Bloody and +8 sets are so expensive. Any DD that can solo K95 party boss can get 300% boss Exp with maphr's scroll compared to just 28.7% average player's Exp...Add Destiny rune 100% that's 400% vs 28.7% and if the player doesn't mind spending little extra for the pass, that's 400%x2 = 800% vs 28.7%......LOL
So the Rich vs Poor = 1 month vs 2 years + 4 months...

HAPPY NEW YEAR! :)
I think you must have missed the patch notes a few updates ago that mentioned party exp rates were increased for small parties. duo would be more like 63% exp actually. Duo parties got about a 15% boost over the already 10% boost.

You are correct: since Ertheia there is exp boost for small parties. It looks like this:

Oh thank you for the correction, Bubble!
Actually, when I think about the Kartia duo with DD + ISS combo, the next is the logical conclusion. If Iss buffs and heals ONLY and recalls to town at the very last minute, then the remaining DD should get 130%! since Iss sacrifices his own Kartia Cool-Down for the DD.
This is just in theory but the real rich can use 200% exp rune 4480Ncoins 7 days + Maphr's scroll
= 130%(basic) + 2 x 130% + 2 x 130% = 650%
with 200% Exp rune + Freya = 130% x 4 = 520%
Destiny pack Exp rune 100% + Freya = 130% x 3 = 390%(most cost effective)
and you can add the occasional 100% Dragon buff + 35% clan buff LvL 4 + 50% Exp potion...etc. on top of everything too.
Let's say there is Dragon buff and the DD with 200% rune uses everything including the extra pass for K95 Duo. This is what happens.
130% Basic Exp + 130% Dragon buff + 2 x 130% (200% exp rune) + 2 x 130% Maphr's scroll + 45.5% (1.3 x 35% LvL4 clan buff) + 65% (1.3 x 50% Exp potion)
= 130% + 130% + 260% + 260% + 45.5% + 65%
= 780% + 110.5% = 890.5%
with the extra pass?
2 x 890.5% = 1781% EXP!
so 1781 % vs 28.57%(full party exp with no boost)
= 1 day vs 62.33 days...or
= 1 month vs 62.33 months
= 1 month vs 5 years + 2 months + 11 days.
oh my...and yeah there is that Kama instance too...and some OP classes can solo Kama bosses! LOL :)

There is no reason to send your iss to town. You can log out/leave party/soe/etc but they will all have the same effect. If your iss does 1% dmg to the boss (via reflect or whatever) then no matter whether the iss logs out/leaves party/soe to town that 1% exp will be allocated for the iss whether he is in range to receive that 1% exp or not.
Also you can't get more exp than the boss would normally give just because you had a box there lol... my box in kama and kartia takes less than 1% of the exp if I leave him out of group.

At the very last minute, ISS recalls to town and DD starts running around without hitting the boss. Iss re-enters K95 and then DD finishes the boss.
Both toons in party in K95 but only DD is in range to receive the full Duo Exp.
O.K. let's say Iss deals like 1% damage to the boss with his Damage reflect, but still he is too far away from the boss so the DD should get 129%, which I don't think changes much for the equation; but thank you for pointing this out. :)
Here is the Ultimate set-up for the Real Rich + serious L2 mania...
3 x computers.
step 1.
1 account on 1 computer(Main DD) + 3 accounts on 2nd computer(Iss on the screen) + 3 accounts on the 3rd computer. L2 allows up to 3 accounts per computer so to get a full party, you will need 3 computers.
step 2.
All 7 goes in for K95; but you just need to play the Main DD + ISS
step 3. Only the Main DD deals damage to the K95 Boss, Iss buffs and heals ONLY. The other 5 can stay in the 1st room.
But if your ISS has time enchant for Sonata buff(at +10, sonata = 10 minutes and at +20, sonata = 15 minutes) you can go in there with a healer and now the healer can use Lumi on the boss(does 0 damage but a helpful debuff on the boss) and now the healing is much easier.
step 4. At the very last moment Iss recalls and the Main DD starts running around the room without hitting the boss
Step 5. Iss Re-Enters K95 and all 6 toons stay in the first room. The Main DD finishes the boss getting 200% full party EXP!
with the extra pass!?? = 2 x 1430%
= 2860%!
or about 100 times more than doing K95 full party without any boost.
SO Super Rich vs Casual player = 2860% vs 28.57% or
1 day vs 100 days...or
1 month vs 100 months or
1 month vs 8 years + 4 months or
1 Year vs 100 Years

Party EXP boost doesn't work like that. You have to have 7 characters in range to receive exp for anyone to get exp boost. So if 6 of the 7 characters are out of range of the mob that gives exp the exp party bonus only applies to the person in range. So it would still be like solo exp instead of 7 player exp.

As KissThis said, xp bonus works nothing like that.
It gets applied when the xp is split between members, so only characters that are in range, in party and receive an even split of the xp count.
Thank you guys for your input. I was just exercising my Happy New Year's Math skills :) I was drinking a little then decided to brush up my high school math...sorry for the intellectual F-Art :) To be honest, I've done many duo and trio runs but never gone any beyond more than 3.
As for the Exp bonus, I think you guys are probably right.
But just to be sure, I am gonna do some tests myself and will post the result later within the next couple of weeks.
Still it's so mind boggling to see the difference between people who can pay and those who cannot. I see so much unfairness in the real world. I mean some people are just born lucky and start life with everything...Money, family, good health and education...etc...and others are born poor...deprived of opportunities....
When I first started playing L2, there was this sense of fairness in the Aden world. Everybody started the same and had to achieve everything from scratch with honest hard work and playing smart; and it was this sense of fairness that I liked! A perfect world away from the imperfect world!

I am missing those days...
I completely agree. I'm mid-top gear level and the difference between top and mid gear is stupid, you either get plowed or plow mobs and people.
My friend came back to game at 89 and I've been helping him level up to get into the same zone as the rest of the player base. It took him ages to get to 92 on his own, then in a few hours I got him to 96 with my toons in top gear..... a week orso later he's still 96 doing his daylies etc. I know that a few duo kartias he'd be 99 in no time, but we're never on at the same time.
hi there, here result of my test on kartia95 group solo
Character: yul lvl 100
Xp Boosters:
Xp rune 30 days 100%
leona's scroll 30%
clan buff 35%
xp buff 1h 50%
blessing holiday 10%
menttee buff 5%
exalted buff 3%
Maphr's scroll 200%
Over Hit on kalios, before kalios die i soed my iss in town then reenter it
results: 187,753,869,127 XP , bonus 152,528,002,499 XP
407,713,171 SP, bonus 323,300,506 SP
=> +1.72% XP on lvl 100
yesterday i did same without 50%buff 1h and without Overhit on kalios
results : 169 billion xp bonus 134billion xp
=> +1.55% XP
regards.
PS: dont waste any replenishing vita scroll or maintening vita pots, just use the holiday blessing at last wave of the last stage or before kalios die+ a vita tonic potion (or not) to be able to use maphr scroll (tradable for 20daily coins at franco npc in talking island).;)
kamaloka 99 solo and duo.. Strong tyrrs and evis solo or duo it all the time.
Could someone please tell me the minimal setup required to complete Kamaloka 99 in a duo (DD+boxed Iss)?
I'd like to emphasize, I am not asking what kind of superior uber gear it takes to set the world record; I need to know what is the cheapest setup that makes it physically possible to finish it within the given time frame (preferably, without dying).
Min lvl of the characters? Min enchants on armor/weapons? Jewelry sets etc?
P.S. Which duo has more chances: Summoner+Iss or Evisc+Iss?

+12 bloody slasher, bloody +8 light and iss doing mass crippling attack and death strike on me to cc me more often takes about 26-33 minutes.
With a +9 slasher and+6 heavy and a live iss that was distracted and didn't cc as often as I do with my box took about 55 minutes.
I also have Giants critical weakness augment that makes a huge spike damage difference. And I also have the ultimate pack rare accessory pack jewelry and belt.
P.S. Which duo has more chances: Summoner+Iss or Evisc+Iss?
think the Evi ISS combo is the cheapest one to equip but why bother such set up unless u intend to actually play those chars besides instances ?
my point being don't stop playing the chars you love to play just cause another might be more efficient under the current update as things tend to change over time..

+1 and i love you draeke...
Well before IO yul was useless now all reroll to yul..
P.s. when will be my elf fortune seeker will have its peak of heights..
P.s. 2 i have fear of heights btw...
kamaloka 99 solo and duo.. Strong tyrrs and evis solo or duo it all the time.
most classes with the right gear/level can do it duo except maybe healer/mages
the main reason I don't do this myself is cause
1. I'm already 103+
2. to have fun at the 101+ level range you need more friends/ppl at the same level
3. this is a MMO and not a single player game so stop being self centered, see point 2 ;)
4. limited play time these days and with friends it takes ~10min per Kama/Fortress Instance run so for me 2x Kama + 2x AF(Embryo) + Baylor = 1hr max.
Could someone please tell me the minimal setup required to complete Kamaloka 99 in a duo (DD+boxed Iss)?

First time did it with evis+iss both 99, +12 bloody fists, bloody set +8, had only 3 pieces bloody at the time, 30 days jewerly, lvl 3 stones (or even lvl 2 ruby at the time), all augment on critical (15% on weapon +15% from giant critical) and critical weakness.
With this setup took me roughly 18-20 min to kill last boss.
At the moment with 101 evic+101 iss with pom it takes roughly 10-12 minutes, depend on how lucky i get with buffs and bosses skills like fear, but also I gave all my gear from main to evic (7s, 14 venir, rulers etc)
I guess my awesome +6 R95 items (that are good enough to regularly win from wielders of +8 armors/+12 weapons in the Olympiad) would barely scratch the mobs in high lvl instances. :(

Oh well, back to Kartias, here I go.
I did it with on my yul sagittarius (lv .100) with live healer, and othell/iss boxed in around 55 minutes.
Gear that affect dmg: Kelbim bow, abundance lv. 1,aq/baium soul, PVE belt & critical weakness augment (giant lifestone).
Just rebuffed turtle when it was needed, did clan boundry 3 times.
Started fighting with P. atk boost from plain of lizardmen, also went out and grabbed it again for the last boss.
Aslong as healer can keep you alive, doesnt matter what armor you have.
Not exactly duo, but if one of you box iss and other one box othell, you could do this setup and leave party with boxes at the last boss.
Most of the party runs i do usually takes 25-30 minutes, so an extra ~20 minutes for like 2-3 times the exp, well worth it.
Not near as fast as stacked tyrr or ertheias though :D **** yuls ;)
You are correct: since Ertheia there is exp boost for small parties. It looks like this:
Solo 100%;
Duo 130% ( 65% per character );
Trio 140% ( 46.67% per character );
4 people 150% ( 37.5% per character );
5 people 160% ( 32% per character );
6 people 170% ( 28.33% per character );
7 people 200% ( 28.57% per character );
Indeed 6 people party looks least attractive.
P.S. Happy New Year.;)
Not sure what you mean with "per character"
But the exp boost in 2 man party is 30% higher base exp from the monster.
i.e you kill a monster that gives 10m exp while in 2 group party.
10*1.3 = 13m
13/2 = 6.5m each.

super gear or half stacked tyrr/wynn with bloody retri/tauti + spirit of shilen near xD
check this player eviscerator with really good gear from chronos and still need +20min kama duo with iss https://youtu.be/Dtfc4BWnuX8
Sandrah has better gear than my Evisc and I'm only 100, not 102... but I "solo" k99 in 17 minutes with box healer/iss for debuffs and cleanse only, no PoM or anything.
prolly not same type of augments which is a huge factor as well in dps builds
Augments, AP and I have PvE Amour/weapon vs PvP gear. With 11 less STR and no agathion I have three same p.atk. Also I keep the bosses debuffed and have the healer to cleanse.
That's the Problem with Evisc. There's 2 different PvE setups to gear towards and PvP setups. All require different Augments, SAs, AP etc.

I like what you are doing, but you are not correct in many of the tests you do.
This is absurd!
I've been doing it with Wynn 97 + ISS 99 box in 30-32 minutes
Pretty sure you're not doing K99 on a 97 Wynn...Sounds like you're talking about K95, which yes is fairly easy to duo as just about any class by 97, lower for many
I like what you are doing, but you are not correct in many of the tests you do.
If that's the case then tell me what/how I'm going wrong and I'll re-test, feedback is massively important. :) I get gear/skills, repeat the same actions x amount of times, write down and compare the actual damage difference to different setups. So far I kill pretty **** fast and I'm not even set up how I want to be... need 30% more in my ISS for that. :P
the major flaw in what most of you guys are doing wrong is that you're all focused on leveling your own alts while in my opinion you should also, aka at the same time, help level others like Heiro ISS (obviously some decent ones that you'll have on your friendlist) so you will always have access to LIVE and not BOX PoM ISS in the Future as not everything can be done by Boxing..
box ISS with PoM is great to have ofc but when actual live PoM ISS are around that's much better to have, pending situation ofc..
anyways it's one of the reason I usually have at least 2 ISS in my parties when doing lol instances like Kama & AF ;)
plz remember that the 1 thing Money can't buy is real friends to have fun & play with, you can have a char with 300+bil gear and when you hit 103+ have nothing left to do and nobody to play/talk with unless you're one of those sad guys that try farm Oly and then bore the rest of the server with your delusions (Chronos got quite a few of those lol).

You have made a similar comment to this before but I think you are over-exaggerating the necessity of different setups. In fact, as you get higher level / better gear it seems to me that there is much less room for variation in your set up.
So what are you talking about? P.Attack vs. Crit Dmg vs. Skill Reuse?
Because I am getting closer to having 500/1500 w/o sacrificing any potential damage so it can't be Crit rate/attack speed. I am pretty sure I will get there before too long. In fact the only sacrifice I will have to make is using Rudolf instead of Freya/Zodiac Agathion.
Additionally, your AP comment also makes no sense to me. For PvE you should be in Warrior Tree. The only other "possible" option is skill reuse setup in Knight Tree but 13% P.Attack + 11% Crit Damage + 50 Attribute Attack (Warrior Tree) > 5% Skill Reuse + 5% P.Attack (everything else in Knight Tree is irrelevant).
For PvE Active Giants Crit Damage Buff is a no brainer so that only leaves your passive augment. Again there are only a few options (IMO) for max/near max PvE damage. 15% Crit Damage which is fairly common, 10% PvE Damage, 10% P.Attack, 10% Skill Reuse or Giants Crit Damage Debuff. Other than 15% Crit Damage you are going to potentially spend BILLIONS on trying to get on of the others I mentioned.
Maybe I am missing something and you can enlighten me.
Additionally, I am with Dreacke, I only duo'ed Kama once or twice just to see how long it would take, other than that I always take clannies. You would be suprised how many of your own clannies (I am speaking specifically to you Ferine :)) have to suffer through 40+ minute Kamas;).
On all tests i have done, less critical rate = higher DPS overall for eviscerator.
This is due to "normal attack 5x harder" passive skill and from battlemind only trigger during normal hits - not critical hits.
Around 30% higher DPS when i had ~150 less critical rate.
Of course, I have not geared my evisc. for high end stuff, so may be a different result when you start getting very high P. Atk etc.
But might be worth for you guys to check out :)

Are you referring to the passive skill "Heavy Punch?" If the so then the description actually reads "Has a Chance to inflict P. Atk. x5."
Either way I think maybe there is some confusion regarding what "normal hit" means. A "normal hit" is ANY non-skill attack which can be a critical hit. So when you are simple auto-attacking the crits you see benefit from anything which boosts "normal" hits.

Everytime i play my evisc. my normal hits are 3x harder than my critical hits, of course when those skills trigger.
I am 90% positive critical hits are not affected by it

ATM I have 15% crit dmg passive + giant buff + giant debuff, but I'm considering changing the passive depending on more tests once I get PoM, and yes you are completely overlooking something. :P
I've had to sit through many 40min k99s myselfon Haley, one reason I strted boxing. Also I don't have unlimited time to play, if I'm on and no one's about then I do something ( usual for a euro in na based clans).

I did some tests for this (1k hits on npc with varying critical rates) and found it Not to be the case, it was on any hit as Rodah said, you won't see whether it landed o on a critical or not.
We're your tests done in a proper, controlled manner, logging the damage and comparing to other results over a decent sample etc?

Why are u changing passive?
I'm running with same setup, giant buff+debuff and 15% crit damage on weapon. And recently I've got PoM, it really speed up everything and damage is clearly better.
P.S. Oh russian site Goha they did that test with passive proc and find out it's proc rate and crit chance is independent of the crit rate but rather skill crit rate, since it's coming from passive skill (did i mention skill enough times?).
Here (https://translate.google.ca/translate?sl=ru&tl=en&js=y&prev=_t&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&u=http%3A%2F%2Fforums.goha.ru%2Fshowpost.php%3Fp%3 D26185476%26postcount%3D106&edit-text=&act=ur) is translated versions of this test. So maxing out crit chance would help our crit chance from regular attack but would do nothing with proc chance of x5 skill.

Considering my critical damage never changed, it is obvious it wasnt affected :P
My point was..
These 2 skills only trigger when you land normal hit (critical hit is not normal), thus maxing out crit rate gives you less chance to make those insane hits, simply cause of the fact you get more critical hits then.
Higher critical rate = more critical hits
The more critical hits you make = the less chance you have for steelmind/passive 5x to trigger/work.
if you compare damage, your critical hits are probably way less than normal hit when these skills trigger/land.
But as i said - i have not tested this with end gear stuff etc.
But alteast for me, 150 less crit rate gave me 30% higher DPS output on the DPS machine, might be different results when you gear up with 12+ pve fists, lv. 5 ruby etc.

That's interesting.
My eviscerator with Iss buffs (warrior harmony) has PAtk ~17k and Crit rate pretty close to 500.
So, I just did a test without any buffs, having equipped noob fists to decrease the crit rate: PAtk = 6k Crit rate = 263.
I was hitting a npc for a few seconds. The damage was:
from normal hits around 450
from critical hits around 1600
from non-critical "mega-hits" around 8-9k.
I stopped the test when I spotted one critical hit that did abnormally high damage: 18k+ (12 times higher than "regular crits").
So, it looks like at least some of critical hits are occasionally affected by that insane damage modifier, and when it procs they inflict the highest dmg out of all hits.

These tests confirm my tests/knowledge almost exactly, even to the percentages etc. However I didn't want to go into detail on anything since There's far too many people on here that just like to assume things, rely on skill descriptions and dodgy game mechanics and simply don't test properly.

This.
I read the translated Goha article and it also confirms my initial thoughts on how the passive "Heavy Punch" functions.
Aconytes test further confirms my understanding of the skill. The way I understand the skill is that when it "procs" your characters hits behave as if you have 5x p.attack. So, in the above test Aconytes non-critical "mega-hit" was a result of his p.attack being raised 5x (30k vs. 6k). And yes this WOULD do more damage than his critical hit BUT he was unbuffed. With crit damage modifiers a normal crit will do more damage than a non-critical "mega-hit." However; when you get a "mega-hit critical"....whoa baby!!
Ferine the only other thing I can think of is that you are considering boosting your skill crit rate in order to increase the amount of Heavy Punch "procs." First off, Heavy Punch seems to be a unique beat in L2 so I don't even know if you can raise it's trigger rate. Additionally, even if you can increase its "proc" rate (I keep putting that in parenthesis because it isn't even an active proc) my understanding is that skills with low skill crit rates DO NOT benefit as much from modifiers.
I did extensive testing on my Tyrr and the skill crit increase from the Knight Skill "Noble Focus" was literally undetectable (200 skill use batches). In fact, sometimes I actually saw fewer skill crits.....
Anyway, even if this isn't what you are talking about I stand by my previous statement. You are HIGHLY over-exaggerating your "different setups" claim. So if I understanding you correctly, you are STILL trying to max out STR/P.Attack/CritRate/AttackSpd. You are STILL going to use Giants Active Crit Damage Buff/Debuff. The ONLY thing your are considering changing are your passive aug and your AP. This isn't a STR vs. DEX Dagger build argument (THAT is a different setup)

That is odd - i was bashing the DPS machine alot of times,
Normal critical damage = 12k
Occasionally i did 18k damage.
Other than that, i was making ~45k normal hits when the "mega damage" was spotted.
I've only been testing with steelmind however.. I assume it is possible steelmind only work with normal hit, while the passive work with both?
If thats the case, hard to check what is best :o
Attacking with warrior (thus high critical rate) gave me 1k DPS.
Attacking with wizard (thus low critical rate) gave me 1k DPS aswell.
Aka lower P. atk and low critical rate = same DPS as High P. atk and high critical rate.

Skill crit rate have low initial modifier and even boosting to the max would yield lesser output compare to crit damage augment, so I can't really see anything beside 15% crit damage augment on a weapon.
If anyone does different one, please test it.

I don't know why people trust those dps machines, they're seriously broken. So you hit with 1 swing for 12k damage with 2+ swings per second, yet it gives you 1k damage per second... and you blindly trust this?

?
Damage per second = DPS
Damage per hit = Damage.
Two very different things.
If i hit 200, 200, 300, 15000, 100, 200, 40000
I will not get 40000 DPS.
How else would you recommend checking? pen and paper? lol. its exactly the same thing, except this DPS machine calculate it for you..
After testing around 10 times per harmony, i think it gives me a pretty decent base, since i dont play evisc. i dont feel like spending a few hours of my time checking this, but considering you are all trying to max damage output, im simply telling you to try it out with less critical rate.
On my level and gear, i got 30% higher DPS output with 150 less critical rate, simple as that :)
OK so I have been running some tests and I am actually more confused then before LOL.
Basically I wanted to FIRST understand how the Evis Passive Heavy Punch worked. My initial thoughts were that it was a a low percentage proc which applied to a normal hit. So for example, you auto-attack 10 times and on 1-2 hits Heavy Hand would trigger and those hits would "act" as if you had 5x p.attack.
Well..... that's not how it works.
I bought a pair of NG Fist, removed all my buffs and any items which increased my attack speed. I wanted to see what was going on in slow motion basically. As I was auto-atacking (w/o SS) I could see Heavy Punch Proc. I looks like a blackish purple circular slash affect around your target. OK fine. That is easy enough. Here is where things get weird. I would physically count my swings but, a Heavy Punch attack would be an additional damage attack in excess of my normal attacks. For example; one time I physically counted 20 swings and HP went off three times, my damage log shows 23 instances of my char giving damage even though my chars fists only hit the target 20 times. I don't know what (if any) relation HP has to your attacks beyond the fact that it seems to only proc during auto-attacking.
To add more confusion to the mix I also noticed the following: when I used ONLY the Abundance lv1 self buff (+15% pattack/mattack/scritrate/scritpwr) my normal hits and and normal crits went up a very small amount consistent with an increase of 15% P.Attack BUT the damage from HP hits went up roughly 15% (ex. 9671 w/o vs 11305 w).
At this point I am at a loss. My best guess is that HP is a skill which will trigger during normal attacks. If this is the case then the skill description is wrong (wouldn't be the first time). Anyway, I am gonna do some more test.
Looking forward to any feed back / suggestions / comments.

LOL you did but I had to see it too believe it. The most powerful hits my Evis has ever had are always listed as "critical hits" while auto-attacking. I had mistakenly assumed those were hits with ALL crit damage modifiers stacking up (with HP and SM applying to normal crits). Apparently these are Heavy Punch SKILL crits with SM up. I can see why you might want to change your set up but I think if you were to change your aug, 15% Skill Crit Damage would be better than 30% Skill Crit Rate.

The thing is .. to find out what causes a passive RACE SKILL to proc more often :p

1. Your sample might be small.
2. Skill power might indeed increase Heavy Punch power as you said.
3. Heavy Punch might have ignore shield effect (dealing true damage: 15% increase in p. attack -> 15% increase in damage).
This discussion has gone too far in the wrong thread imo.
It's clear that Evisc skills are magical and work by the power of the unicorn. Skill descriptions/punnchbag npc > proper testing and comparison.
All Evis therefore need low critrate outside of steel mind, then stack critrate during steel mind to make more crits! Also spending billions on crit damage augments etc will really really help during steel mind.
These are the facts as summarised in this thread, praise be the mechanical punchbag npc, this is the word of the skill description.
Thanks everyone for your thoughtful insights. It's been quite entertaining reading them all. Thank you for that.
So I've done some tests regarding Duo and Trio Exp bonus and ways to maximize the EXP for the main toon.
In duo run, whatever damage the Iss class deals gets translated to Exp percentage from the final killing and it doesn't matter whether Iss class leaves the party, disconnects or SOE to town. Even when only 1 DD is at the boss room when the boss goes down, the Iss boxer will still take away the potion of Exp according to the % of damage s/he dealt. However, if both DD and ISS are partied and present upon the boss's downfall, they share 50-50 EXP
So what to do? Can a DD get K95 Boss without the ISS DEBUFF? I think it is possible for some stacked and opp classes but for all other average DDs, here is my solution.
Simply...equip Iss boxer....weakest weapon possible....like C or D-grade weapon! LOL! As long as you can get that Debuff on the boss, who cares about ISS damage on the boss? and this is how you minimize the Iss Damage % on the boss. Also it is rather important that Iss keeps hitting the boss cuz Iss buffer has that passive skill that gives them MANA when they hit. So it is actually needed that they hit to gain mana.
So there it is. DD + ISS with D or C grade weapon and ISS SOE at the last minute! Last K95 run I did this way, I used Freya + Dragon buff + clan buff and nothing else and got over 100B exp. Now just imagine if you use everything...

That's why it's not worth (as much) killing open field raid bosses with awakened char nowadays. It doesn't matter if you bsoe and/or restart anymore.
Edit: I had in mind leveling chars below 85 but forgot to mention it.
The mechanism is the same. When a character deals damage to a boss, the system preserves a proportion (which might not be exactly analogic) of xp for that character.
As a result it doesnt matter if you bose/log off the character you dont want to get xp.
Drop party and soe, or doesn't it matter? And if the ISS soe's, does the damage done by the ISS matter anyways?
Doesnt matter if you bsoe, or drop party.
If your iss leaves party and stay in range of boss = he gets exp equal to his damage.
If he bsoe = he is out of range, and the exp equal to his dmg will be lost, your DD will not receive more exp.
If he relog = Your damage is reset, and will not be given back regardless what you do, no one will receive that lost exp.
I.E you have a party, top DD does 40% of the total damage to boss, at last few % he DC, relog and rejoin party.
Raid dies.
Your party will share 60% of the exp, cause 40% of the exp was lost due to the relog/DC.
That's why it's not worth (as much) killing open field raid bosses with awakened char nowadays. It doesn't matter if you bsoe and/or restart anymore.
What do you mean exactly?
They still give alot of exp, of course if you do them with 2 parties the exp will suck :D
Maybe a bit off-topic, but is there a way how you can avoid your iss receiving an instance, so you can enter for example twice a day without need of a pass?
SOE to town does not help, haven't tried logoff so far, I am just curious if there is a way...

No
What you can do is have another char 95+ just for entering, so that you can soe w/o reseting the instance and get iss buffs outside.
Drop party and soe, or doesn't it matter? And if the ISS soe's, does the damage done by the ISS matter anyways?
No, it doesn't anymore. There used to be a bug which prevented drop items being picked up when ISS left the party right before the boss kill BUT not any more. I just tested. ISS BSOE or not doesn't matter now, so ISS might as well just leave the party but stay for the boss kill to get the daily quest.

Thanks for Answering the question for me. Excellent Work!
Simple math:
when your Iss box gets out of the dungeon right before the death of the boss (by Return or BSoE), the DD receives ~50% more xp compared to the xp in a duo.
I resorted to that method when I needed to focus on leveling a particular DD. Since my Iss box had a crappy weapon without shots, its damage was negligible and barely affected the resulting xp amounts.
at 104 I will do it faster then that and I'm a Tank so lol.. also don't forget Korea & Japan have a better "rose" buf then we do which adds 100 or 120 elemental patt on top of everything else.
btw that guy is paranoid to hide his inventory and skill bar from the fraps
