Elysium Bow vs Hero Bow

General Discussion Started Last reply 8 posts
Elysium Bow : 1521 p.atk, P.atk +6%, Atk Speed +15%, P. Skill Critital Damage +10%. and 450 holy.
Hero Bow: 1983 P.atk, P. atk + 991, Atk Speed +15%, Pvp damage +15%

When compared these two bows together, for some reason the elysium bow does so much more dmg.

These are the damages that were tested on a dagger 101 with a full dark +8 set. Also to note, the player had 450 holy resist and i had a total of 460 holy attack.

Elysium Bow + additional hit arrows with bullseye on target using pinpoint shot = 19k damage with a crit.
Hero Bow + bullseye on target = 15k damage with a crit

Same goes for non crit dmg 7k with elysium and 5.5k with hero bow.

It feels to me that the 15% pvp damage is not applied for the hero bow.

Any comments?

EDIT: Just tested on mobs in EV, with bullseye and pinpoint shot, the hero bow does 19k dmg, and the elysium does 29k. It seems that there is no pvp damage addition for the hero bow.
You PVP Mobs???
If you have 0 attack attribute, it will "attack" your opponents highest defense attribute.
i.e if he has 700 dark, your hero bow will be a dark attribute, but with 0 attack rate.
If he had 0 in everything, you would have "non attribute" attack.

Anyway, back to point.

Due to your hero weapon being 0 attribute, you have around 29% damage nerf from the NORMAL damage. (this is the highest damage nerf you can get, according to the attribute system)

Due to elsyium bow having 450 attack and your friend having 460 defense, you get around 2% higher damage than NORMAL damage.

* Normal damage means the damage inflicted with a 0 attribute attack on a 0 attribute defense opponent.

Normal damage in this scenario = pretty much 17000.

Elsyium = Add +10% from P. Skill critical damage & 2% from holy attack = ~19000

Hero bow with attribute nerf = ~13178
After adding hero weapon +15% pvp bonus = ~15154

There you go, explained it as easily as i could! :D

definitely didn't know about the attribute nerf for no attribute, i simply thought there would be no additional damage. That would explain it, thanks.

Anytime!
Since it is a big topic it is hard to explain everything in detail, however just to add..
Even if you do have attack attribute, it is possible to receive the nerf (its not just for non attributed weapons).
It solely depends on the defenses of your opponent.
I used 0 attribute as an example simply cause hero has 0 attribute.

So for example even if you had 10 attribute attack, you would still have the 29% nerf. etc.
Since your opponent had 460 defense, you would probably need 120+ attack attribute to get less nerf.

Old test from ***** (same system as we have).
Not exactly the most updated or informative, but you can get some general idea of how things work.

What hero weapon are you taking about??? The infinity thrower has 30% PvP dmg, not 15%....
Or you mean those pseudo wespons you get with hero coins and so on?

Great & interesting, thx for posting !

Strange:
- Both Attacker and Defender having zero Attribute = damage 4484
- Both Attacker and Defener having 300 Attribute = damage 4655
this is surely rooted in the mysterious calculations and mechanics that rule the entire game.

However, as conclusion I read out of this table:
1) Attribute Attack and Defense are both capped at 25% bonus/malus
2) As quick rule I will memorize each 10 points difference (more attack / more defense than target) will yield an average of 1% damage increase / decrease up to the cap of 25%

Very helpful.

Yes, the hero packs for hero coins.
