2 months ago, I would guess that about 1 Trillion adena was introduced into Chronos economy via a "h.a.c.k" or "cheat" with the race manager system. You said that you took care of the issues and fixed it, yet market prices at least on Chronos are still ridiculously high for no reason. I know that you didn't catch 100% of that adena that was introduced, its almost impossible being that there are only like 2 or 3 people working on this game anymore.
Now you introduce and event that makes R99 weapons ridiculously over priced for 2 reasons. Before event +8 and higher Retributers were hard to come by. Reason for that is the OE rate of Mage weapons and the use of HEWR being +7 max for magic weapons. Okay thats fine, but then you bring and event in like this that allows people to switch a +12 or higher R99 (insert melee weapon name here) into a super OE retributer for what? 1.2B worth of R gems? At least make the event so anything higher than a +7 melee weapon cannot be changed for a mage weapon. I understand that you are trying to help some people who are changing their duel class out, but you are screwing a lot of people in the process. Not only those who spend Billions on trying to OE their Retributers before the event, but honestly anyone trying to buy a R99 weapon at all at this point.
You have introduced yet another event that has completely shattered the stability of our economy just as we were starting to recover from the hacking and cheating.
Please stop trying to control the economy in the game and let it be 100% player driven. I know that you are a business and you are attempting to improve customer relations and make money, and I'm going to be honest here, at this point customer relations is already too far gone for you to recover from. We love the game, we don't like the management.
In regards to the money issue, I understand what it takes to run a server, pay employees, maintenance and royalty fees, but your prices, they are ******* ridiculous. $50 US dollars hardly buys anything from the L2 store that's worth a ****. Please take lessons from NCWest and NCEurope about L2 Store pricing. While their prices are about 1/2 of what yours are, they also have about 10x the player base actually buying those items. You are actually loosing nothing by lowering the prices on L2 store, you are selling lines of code, nothing is actually taken from your company and given to a player.

The Steady price level of end game gears is good for the old players but I guess it's not so good for the new who's trying to gear up.
I don't know what to say but to advice you to take enough time to investigate the item prices before you buy anything. There is a sharp difference between the highest and the lowest..that it is not so wise to buy things in a hurry. Just take your time, be patient and you're gonna be fine.
As for the people who Over-Paid to get 10+ R99 retributers before the Red Libra event, I just feel sorry for them. Personally I know someone who traded +9 Blessed R99 Retri +40B to get +14 R99 Retri and I can only imagine her pain now. I just hope NC does something for them and make sure they don't make the same mistake in the future cuz it is those players who don't even hesitate to use 20 x Lesser Giant Weapon stones(1200Ncoins each) to go for +12.

I understand why you saying that you are partially responsible for the market prices, but honestly unless you are buying 50+B in event items I doubt that you contributions to market prices really make anything more than a 2-5% increase give the amount of players that dump hundreds if not thousands into events. But on the contrary I guess I could say that I too am responsible to some of the market shifts because I consider myself a "market" player and with 2-3 buy sell toons I am normally able to pull about 500m to 1B out of the economy roughly every day. I understand the stock market type economy because I do that in real life, but with NCSoft putting in their 2 Cents into trying to control the economy its hard with the HUGE levels of fluctuation that happens far too often.
BTW I am anything but a new player. I've been playing for 7+ years or so with some time off in between for real world things, and the price of R99 items doesn't really bother me that much. The fact still remains though that NCSoft needs to actually play this game to understand what kind of HUGE impact they are making on not only the economy in the game but also the economy of the RMT market that they themselves have caused.
For instance: A older player like me always has about 5-10B in Adena or highly liquid-able items laying around in case there is a sale on a good item at a good price. Then there are the new people who were raised in the age of the Kartia 150x xp era the can't afford even R95 stuff, I have been in multiple instances with people with R weapons and the 1 NCCoin S80 gear that wasn't even 300 or 120x3 on anything. The first time I say it I thought it was appearance stones and didn't think anything of it but it became more evident when the boss took forever to kill.
I talk to these people and they only confirmed my suspicion of NCSoft being the cause saying all they do is Kartia really. It amazes me that NCSoft cannot see past their own wallet when it comes to this, they are 100% the cause of the RMT and Bot market. Getting level 99 can be done in about 2 weeks of casual play time now days, and 3 days if you're hardcore and add powerleveling. Leading more people down the path of the dark side of botting and RMT.
One thing I will give NCSoft is their recent attacks not only on bots, as I have seen far less in game than normal, but their attack on the botting companies responsible for putting out the programs. It takes some serious brass balls to do that, legally I'm not sure what grounds they stand on as they say they are taking "legal actions" against them but I have literally seen the difference outside of PvP ofc.
It is easy even for casual people (3h grind per day) to farm 500m/week, if you know how.

GoG with a drop rate rune gives you 40-50m/hour, so you need to kill mobs for ~12h to earn 600m.
Say 2 mob per 10 seconds, that means 12 mobs a minute.
720 mobs per hour, and 8640 mobs in 12 hours.
So to answer your question, it takes 8640 mobs to profit 600m to buy a 0+ retributer.

1. Whining is what my children do. I'm attempting to make a rational point and back it up with facts that can be found in the game. But I guess I forgot this is the internet and everyone here is a keyboard warrior. NCSoft's goals as a company are to produce a product that people will not only enjoy playing but also invest money into so that they make a profit and the player is happy. So a portion of their goal is in turn customer relations, which unfortunately they completely flat line on.
2. The mage weapons isn't the entire issue here. If you re-read what was being discussed you will see that that is only a small portion of a larger issue that is going on. A player driven economy should be just that, not attempting to be controlled by an outside source.
3. While I do agree with you for the most part some time I think that they take it a little too far with it. In my personal opinion everything given away as a purchasable event should be able to be dropped my monsters in game, either by normal mobs in tiny or low end rewards, to top raids with top drops, but only at low event rates.
4. Not once did I say I trusted NCSoft here. I'm not going to blindly accuse them without proof that they are the RMTers. Its not about the skill to kill a mob that makes money in todays game anyways, its about learning to play the market, buy low, sell high. Or have a Platinum Mastercard apparently for some.
I like the duel class change portion of the event. I even like the "special weapon" that they give you for 1 EWR but was it really necessary to make a R-R99 weapons exchangeable? For most the traded EWR weapon is more than likely better than theirs to begin with, because honestly they are pretty good. So why not leave it with that and let the person sell the weapon they have for their duel, and use the money to buy an equally good weapon for their duel, would that have been such a crime?

I agree with your first point. I have done very well for myself being a casual. I'm running around with a full boss jewel set (not the best but still good). +6 Armor with a few +8-+9 Blessed Pieces, a +12 PvP weapon, and decent enough supporting items to be okay at what I do. So point 1 agreed.
Your second point though, if for some reason you thought I was suggesting increasing the drop rate I'm sorry that wasn't the point I was trying to get across. I can see where you might come to that conclusion though so I apologize for that. In fact no I don't think drop rates should be increased at all, hell for all I care nerf them again, I don't rely on mob drops to fund my toon. I play the markets. I was simply trying to open peoples eyes that the current rate of xp is actually promoting botting and especially RMT. If the drop rate was increased Botting would increase, if xp rates go up RMTing goes up. There is a very fine line to walk between the 2, and when NCSoft keeps changing it constantly, they screw up completely one way or another.

100% agree. I'm actually glad to see most of the bots have migrated to zaken now. Although Fairies on Chronos is full of 87-89 Erthea Summoners. I guess you can't win em all.

Making adena is easy for the old players.
The newer players have a much harder time getting out of what Lineage has created (which is CC warriors that farm events).
My main issue with L2 is that there is noway to be competitive within lineage 2 currently without cheating.
The game isn't updating with the times. I want to be able to obtain gear and farm items by PLAYING THE GAME, but when others transfer gear from DEAD servers and free roam of dragons, etc... this destroys the whole market and the balance of L2 economy. In order to farm dark stones, i have to pvp others that already have dark sets and dark weapons, that makes zero sense so in order to even fight them, i have to buy their stones that they farm and 1 shot me with?

No, I play this game for fun, not a living. And I prefer to stick to 1 or 2 characters so I'm not as distracted and get to focus on just those.

In fact I have heard of this one, however I don't see how it is much of an strategy other than stealing other people apperition summoned bosses, because last time I check 99% of field raids in this game don't drop anything worth taking the time to camp.

No one really cares about "top clan bot" at atelia. There are more than enough spots to keep people occupied, that is if they ever get out of the instances.

Maybe, maybe not.. there are other classes that can use 2H Blunts like Retributers besides Mages for example healers / Titans, still it's a tad overkill ya :)

You are absolutely correct, but in your previous comment you said it takes money to make money, which is more true now than ever. In this crazy *** economy you have to have a fortune to make enough for it to still remain a fortune.
Yes this is on Chronos. I don't anticipate many people buying these for the simple fact the very few people have 30-70B to purchase these things. I don't most of theses are weapon conversions from the event because they are dark and bloody, more people trying to cash out of the huge investment that they have already put into their weapons.
The only people I can see using these are mages, healers, summoners, and the very rare titan. Healers would benift from other weapons more than these unless it was oly only weapon. As fas as the titans go, they are a great choice but someone who would be able to afford this would more than likely already be almost maxed out on DPS and would have one anyways.
It just goes to show what a "low profile" event can do to the game economy.

I wasn't trying to call stealing their apperance stones summons a cheat or anything, but from what I have seen they are few and far between and I consider myself a fairly decent human being, morally I don't feel that it is right so I won't do it. And the open bosses, yes I know they are set on a timer to the minute, but still not worth showing up for 5 minutes early for a 1/1500 chance to drop something that's worth 300m split 7 ways, because I'm not an Erthea/Titan/Summoner so I can't solo them. I would rather just 1 party Tauti/Epic Tauti/E.Oct/E.Istina/Tiat/Ekimus and hope for the best with those.
But I think you are getting a little side tracked with the conversation, its not about the process of making the adena that is the issue, its about the defacing the value of the items you have by NCSoft introducing events that disrupt the market completely.
