It's a pitty because lineage 2 is the world's number #1 best mmorpg.
I am searching forum every day, i still play this game but not many hours like i did in the past, even tho i have time. I see bad feedback and disappointed/unhappy people everywhere (including me).
This game has been destroyed, real money and bots have overtaken it. It's so sad to see this game is already dead ...
52bil for a talisman. I can imagine what is happening on chronos/naia and other servers ...
Legit/normal players cannot play this game anymore if you don't have pvp script and everything else.
So sad... i hope one day lineage2.com gets to the right hands, wipe everything and make GoD server with monthly subscription w/o store and it will be balanced for everyone because now, if you don't pay you will never enjoy it.

But you realize this was sold in-game for adena?
Even if no L2Store would exist and they again added monthly subscription, crazy rare items would still be sold for crazy amounts. If the paid adena was retrieved legit or not is ofc another question.
The idea OP is giving is no solution to the problem, at all.
Bot/RMT problems exist and suck. You have the following choices:
- move to the darkside as well
- leave game
- adapt and enjoy the game despite the flaws (x)
The point is that Zaken is a new server and someone has farm 52bil on it in a matter of how much time?
The next point is that bots and RMT has destroyed Lineage 2 and NCSoft ******** "legal" actions hasn't really done anything to stop them.
not only that, for the bid to be that high there are several people that actually have adena to take it that high little by little, so ... yeah lol
The only "good" thing is that those 52b will be ERASED from the server forever, its not like someone got that talisman in a event and sold it (adena switching hands from player to player) with the biding system, adena gets deleted.
Deja Vu timez.. the same was said when Teon server was created and once more when Luna went live so tbh everyone knew what to expect with Zaken..
Nothing has changed since then so as Omen says you either know why you play the game or just stop really..
Hits you and Feri and several other old timers know better then making posts like these as you have seen this happen at least 3x before..
I play for the ppl I meet ingame and the odd weird moments that cause me to laugh etc - for me this is still a game and nothing to take too serious like some of the delusional hero's every server seems to have :)
It's a hobby and maybe not as cheap as it used to be it's still up to me/the players to decide how to spent their money & time - aka it's all very personal if it's worth it or not.
Can NC West do things better, well yes if anything they could communicate a lil better on future events and updates as 90% of the things ppl complain about will be fixed actually.. go read my comments when the details of this update was announced as I actually said it right there that the game would be better if they added the open XP areas from Giants Cave etc. with it.. anyways that and more like archer/dagger nerfs and Tyr/Mage/Wyn boosts are all coming..
Somethings players can also do themselves as the event & updates data is known in Korea cause we get roughly what they got ~6 Months ago, even this Dual class/change weapons event is a 100% direct copy of what Korea got so everyone could have known this was coming if they bothered to look into it - instead ppl prefer to QQ when they don't get things served on a silver platter lmao really..
Now for those ppl who don't check other forums and have no clue one of the next upcoming events is the return of the Brooch event with a new 5 slot Brooch and 3 new Jewels + all the old ones so you better start save adena/prepare your wallet already!

I just see high cost items like this and just think to myself "I wish", then move on. I don't have that much adena...I never will have that much adena...yet I can still play for my amount of time and enjoy it until I log out. I say pay attention to yourself and not peek at the neighbors to see what new toy they have, and you'll be happy enough with what you have. What can ya do really?
pretty sure you guys are missing the point of the post. In order for any 1 player to aquire that much adena on a new server, is absolutely using programs to farm adena. even if u were buying Ncoin time cards and getting free BEWR and selling to NPC for 100mil that is a LOAD of time cards to get that much adena. hope you understand now...
I never really got the whole high value of insanity talismans... they're basically just a longing a tiny amount of p.def/m.def and some resist to Topaz/Mega Strike.

52b is possible.. with the help of your cp it can be... they just pour all adena to gear you and in turn after you got what you need you send adena you got from telhe next in line cp member.. it really amaze me of your envious nature guys.. why not work hard?? Really??

I think the main point is that a new server with stupid low adena drop rates shouldn't have at least 2 people on it with 52b each.
You can't sell gear and drops for more than what people can afford to buy it for, and 100 bil is a LOT of stuff sold to the npc...

When Zaken 1st opened nobody had any adena. But when you purchase an NCoin card at Gamestop, you can NPC sell the bonus BEWR for 75 mil in a tax free town. So I guess that's a way adena can be formed out of thin air? I'll admit I bought a couple cards when I was giving that server a shot..and nobody could buy or afford the BEWRs I had. Someone told me to just NPC them, so I did. Boom, I had instant adena. And at the time, I felt somewhat rich with a couple hundred mil on me. Believe me, that didn't last very long at all. So how does this "bought" adena come in to the equation of the server's total adena flow? Just seems like it's generated as frequent as people are willing to NPC an item..thing that makes me scratch my head is it's not adena from a drop whatsoever or anything generated in-game..it's completely from an outside source, sponsored by NC itself. So are they giving people with some bucks the go ahead rights to print off their own adena?

If people are spamming apparition stones etc and getting weapons/armor from then, those NPC for up to 300m+... Plus NPCable event items, Plus bots.
would like to point this one out here cause it seems ppl think the below isn't possible on Zaken which is lol..
As said before, old players do not know how to farm adena, or simply lack the willpower to do so.
With a minimal investment (drop rate rune) you can farm upwards 40+m adena/hour at garden of genesis, if you buy a 7 day drop rate rune (300m adena if you buy from people), you would have to farm 6 hours to earn those 300m back.
If you farm 4h per day, that means you will make 1.14 billion adena in one week.
If you substract the 300m for the rune, you're looking at 700+m pure profit per week.
If you have prestige rune, there is even more adena to be made.
* This adena is by selling material drops in GOG to GROCERY, aka NPC price.
If your server is alive and well, you could easily make double this adena by selling materials to players.

Exactly. The often raised wish of new players that NCsoft should sell adena in the L2Store has been granted.
