This week the server maintenance will not take place on the typical Wednesday morning schedule. Instead, it will be at 5:00 am PST on Thursday morning. Once I have the exact times, I'll post the normal maintenance notice in all of the usual places.
Edit: To add to the above, vitality will still recharge as normal on Wednesday and the Red Libra event will end as scheduled.
Its something that wont be ready for tomorrow but is too important that cant wait one more week to go live.

Lineage II has been around for nearly 12 years now and the "pieces" to do a simple maintenance didn't come together?!? Unbelievable.... smh.
better if they find an alternative to that crap
Couldn't agree more they know that gameguard is broken but they refuse to give up on that thing.

It's cool if this gameguard update or the "new" anti-hacking system won't be this week or if ever this month I just hope that you guys get it right this time my opinion give up on gameguard I tried playing on BnS and you know what I'm surprised that you guys use gameguard over there as well and guess what? the game is already full of rmt sellers.

till when scripters will run around parnasus and 1shot everyone with auto target destroying totally pvp and make ppl quit ? till when they will enter beleth, farm raids , farm hunting areas , auto assist at sieges and make ppl quit ? till when they will farm coc same way ? till when normal players will have to face this corruption ? pvp is dead cuz of them so no many people start the game except pve lovers, also noone cant farm adena because of them. playing l2 since c2 and those things made me lost interest in every way possible . i dont donate anymore , i dont play alot just log for chat and i know mannyyyyy people who quitted for those reasons . all the ways make adena and pvp in server is just overun by programs, its sad and its killing your business and our fun. you may dont care and make some money by milking the cow but you could make much more. there are only 2-3 scripted partys who pvp daily at naia and all others pve nonstop hopping that something will change in future ..
Most funny part is most of people have farmed with Ely weapons to lvl over 90. Now it's time to see this k90 and other instances with cancer eyes

I couldn't agree more dump game guard. I remember when game guard was new and people found ways to bypass it. Use a new system game guard sucks!!!!
If you added up the entire time L2 has used Game Guard till now, it's probably been effective at controlling bots/scripters for a grand total of about a week. I'll even be generous and say a month.
That's a single month, spread out over the entire time it's been used for L2.
It's a colossal waste of money, and woefully ineffective for it's primary stated use here in the USA. It's use in Korea is different, since it's meant to prevent various keyloggers that were a common plague in net cafe's and the like.
Now, conversely, if you look at the amount of pain GG has caused normal players here... it will be far, far, FAR more time than the pain it's caused it's intended targets.
Even frost, which many here tout as being the reason l2ru was bot free, cannot do it. Frost was (is? not sure now) effective because people cared to continually keep up to date on monitoring what it was seeing and ensuring it continued to catch, report, and block programs. People were staying under the radar to prevent bringing attention to themselves.
No matter how good this new GG is, it will shortly be circumvented and made useless if they do not actively keep on top of the methods used to render it ineffective.
GM diligence was, and is, the only way to consistently, and reliably, keep bots and scripters in check.
