Wait what? Add another dual class? Isn't the whole service switching one to the other.
Example: Currently level 101 Healer main class and level 100 Titan dual class. If I take the dual class to main service, my level 100 Titan dual class will become my main class, and shouldn't my 101 Healer become my dual class automatically?

So basically you lose your Main class when using Dual to main service?
And what if for example you have Kamael race, your dual class is Yul Ghost Sentinel with old skills learned (Rapid Shot and Dead Eye or Rapid Fire), you will become Dark Elf? Or lose skills?
Also, do dyes from dual are transferred to main? Do you lose the dyes from your original main class?

Your Dual become Main, Main become dual, why you need do Quest to add another dual?
Also don't forget to reset Olympiad points to 10, because someone can abuse this to get easy hero (farm points on one class and get hero on another).You have Main/Dual on 1 character. Using this service splits the Main and Dual from that 1 character into 2.
(E.g. Your character main class is Tyrr Titan and Dual class is Wynn Arcana Lord.
Main Class remains Tyrr Titan
Dual Class transfers over to a new character with the Main Class now being Wynn Arcana Lord)

ok juji so not worth this service, many people have worked way too hard to get exalted characters to have to redo a dual or completely re-build a character. it should be just like the old service we had back in pre-GoD when the classes just swapped.

Just FYI you can keep old skills in dual class and have "pve" advantage.
I don't really care about old skills. But this service is the cherry on the cake.
I seriously wonder who will want to remake all dual/subs + exalted quest and get again shiny shirt, brooches and all of that stuff that is impossible to trade.

Yes but we were told for months it was a dual to main service, not a character split. I want to have my dual as main, but I will not level up 2 dual classes and 2 subclasses and buy everything the main has that cannot be traded along with doing any quests that need to be redone, re enchantingskills...etc, etc. If you do, good for you.
Bracelets (even tho you can get them again, but it's a pain getting 1k RP), augmented weapons/jewels, you have to seal longing/insanity and whatever else is worth having that's bound to your character, gotta think that before jumping to the "Dual to Main" option so fast, lol.

anything that cannot be traded remains on your original character. This means you have to not only buy non-tradeable gear for your existing character but also now your new "dual to main" character. This isn't a dual to main event this is a "break your current main and start over" :(

Race change you don't lose anything, your race/appearance changes and so does your Race Stats (STR, CON, INT, etc...) and Race Passives.

Im soery but i dont see any good point to use this service(dual to main). With almost the same result we can make new characters with any class. for free. I think before to put this service you should to review all the conditions.

Just please everyone vote race change. IF we get dual to main then no one will use that service and people who do end up using it will be very unhappy and probably quit the game that's already running on a very low population.
This is so silly, just get the old main to be switched with the dual. Bound items like brooches and items that can not be traded stay on the same character. I guess ncsoft do not care about their customers since i know they will lose so many customers over their silly decision. i think this is a way for ncsoft to phase out l2. Will Ncsoft make change the shiny shirts and all the brooch items open to trade?

My wife DESPISES her healer main and LOVERS her summoner dual. 87/95. The Dual to main really should be "Dual Split" but hell, it if gets my wife playing this game more I am all for it!!!

Juji, look at race change. What will happen is now people can have 3rd class skills of Elf Yul (Rapid Shot + Rapid Fire) as any race they want. But yeah let's delete 3rd class skills from Dual to main because it makes so much sense.
Can't you look with your devs and make them also implement a simple swap from dual with main and everyone will be happy?? I don't think this will cause imbalance issues since you can just do whatever class you want on main and then change its race without any bad sides.

Maybe we can have race change regardless of what happens here and just remove the Cat Blessing from the game. that takes up so many inventory slots, doesn't stack and is replaced by rose :)

The more impactful choice for me is Dual to Main. I don't care that much for the race change, but then again, I already have characters that have their original racial stats, even though they are playing a class from a different race (for example, I have a Silver Ranger with Dark Elf base stats). Dual to Main allows me to finally rid myself of a boring, unplayable main class while keeping the character's non-tradable items (e.g., +9 Shining Shirt), birthdate, etc. If you want me to reach for my wallet, Dual to Main class is the best foot forward.
You will get 2 new toons in your account and one of them(your current main class) will have all the items/Quests on it and the other one(your old dualclass that will be main on a new char) will have nothing on it

In a perfect world we would simply be able to swap the designation of Dual to Main without any fuss. Like others have said, NCSoft has offered it previously. I don't understand why the team decided to go this route. I'm sure the earlier method would be less painful for everyone involved. But if this split Dual service (let's call it what it is) is the only option that we have, I guess it's better than nothing.

Thanks. If it works this way, whereby the placeholder character becomes the Main, but receives none of the rare items that can't be traded, then there really is no point in offering this service. At all. I think what most of us want is to have our new main have all of the unique items. The original main, basically is a throw away character. In fact, I plan to delete it after the service is completed, but only if the New Main gets all of the bells and whistles.

And they could probably level it back up to 100 between now and the time that this service will be offered...and it will probably cost you less USD to do it that way. This makes no sense.
My hunch is that this poll won't come down to just one vote, but if it does, please change my vote from "Dual to Main" to "Race Change." At least there are people that get what they envisioned with that option.

You have Main/Dual on 1 character. Using this service splits the Main and Dual from that 1 character into 2.

Man you are crying since the first moment about that and you couldn't be more wrong.There are commited ppl that spent lot of hours playing this game and some of them want to be the best.Those ppl also sacrificed a lot to make those changes on their toons so they shouldn't be punished so that casual players like yourself will stop crying for been killed by them.Also those ppl are the reason that the market is contantly moving and improving.

i appreciate all the work u and Baster and all Others are doing, but reading the new service about main and dual, is making me sad.The first time i read ( and i guess many Others) the service " change Dual to main" was so happy, cuz i was planning to play my dual as main because i enjoy more that class instead of my main.
Now, reading ur first post about the service, put the morale down and thinking why ncsoft is doing that.
The reasons, as many ppl said, could be many but don't u (and ur stuff) think, the service to split in 2 toons main and dual, leveling up again, making ppl lose all their improvement in their main toon, will make many ppl to stop play or to play less, cuz we don't want to gift to ncsoft more money to buy nccoins? Don't u think we can't spent all our time, money to remake something that right now is not even in game shop?
Pls, is not a post to qqing or to insult anyone, but just make a service (even for a short time) where ppl can choose to change their main class ( if not change dual to main) to something they enjoy to play, for sure will make everyone happy and ppl will spent more ncoins for that service, insteado of leaving the game, cuz they can't transfer all the improvements maded in the main toon, to the new one.
Try to make all the steps, to let us( the one that want to play their dual as main) to wnjoy the game and play what we like and with the stuff we have alredy.

I agree with you totally. I thought we were getting a Dual to Main swap, but what they're offering -- a character split -- basically means that all of my nice equipment that I can't trade gets stuck on my main class, which I don't play at all. I'm not even going to try to replicate making a +9 Shining Shirt or Level 4 gems (6 different gems at that) because of the real world expense involved. There are better uses of my discretionary income than to go around paying for the same thing twice, especially when there's no guaranty that your gamble will yield the same or better results.
If we can't get a true Dual -> Main Swap service, then I'd settle for a service or L2 Store item that allows players to turn non-tradable items into tradable ones within the same account. Heck, create special tradable one-time use unbind scrolls that you can only get through Mentor or Daily coins, but for Shillen's sake, please give us better options than a split character service. That's not what we asked for, and it appears it's not what players will spend their hard earned money on. At least I'm not. :mad:

Don't make the split service or if u wanna make it, give to ppl the possibility to keep one toon and to change the main w/o loosing items, ppl bought from store to improve their toons.
As eyec said, take our opinion seriously, and do all possible to give us the service we thought ncsoft was going to put or add one more like "change main class" w/o loosing the items everyone have and bought to improve.
This is not what we expected about Dual/Main service. This is completely waste of time. Maybe you believe that the newly created "main" will pay NCoins to lvl up a new dual class again..and again and again.
But you know what? There are plenty of frustrated people already in all servers regarding
the bot/3rd party software situation. If you are not able to get community's feedback
about a simple service seriously (dual to main) and provide it as it supposed to be, i cannot
imagine what is going to happen with the New Antibot System.
Fix dual to main swap, remove all 3rd party software, make the game attractive again, listen to ppl feedback and do what you have to do, because more people quit this game day by day.
I believe that if the "New Antibot System" is fail, the population will be reduced significantly. This is the last chance that a lot of people giving to NCsoft (including myself) and then goodbye. Patience is over.

Legal signed off on it, but not everyone else.
We will need to re-evaluate that Dual Class Separation service and think about the Main/Dual swap too.

Can I change to kamael?Unfortunately, Kamael will not be able to change their race. There is an issue with the Kamael subclasses. The same reason why Kamael cannot do Gender Class changes.
I mean juji I'm human and I wanna change to kamael not I'm kamael and I wanna change to something else :PYou can only change from/to Human, Elf, Dark Elf, Orc, or Dwarf.
On a positive note, I definitely have at least 3 characters that are getting the race change. I'm ready to bid farewell to my human (all) and orc (male mystic) classes now.

I do foresee people using the race change to either Dwarf or Orc and then using Chaos Essence to Tyrr Maestro/Iss Dominator. Once this happens, your character will not be able to do a race change again until you change the class back to a non-Race restricted class.

Can request changes to Race and race model (Fighter/Mage for Humans and Orcs)
Service can be done within 24 hours (same as Gender Change/Name Change)
Cannot change from/to an Ertheia race
There are issues with skill animations that cannot be fixed.
Tyrr Maestro cannot change
Iss Dominator cannot change
Details on the Dual to Main Class service:
Must wait a week service to apply (same as server transfers).
There is no race or gender change with this service except if you have a Kamael class.
(E.g. for main: male Kamael, dual: If the divided character is a Yul Trickster, the appearance of the dual class will be that of a Kamael female)
All skill enchants on the dual class will be reset during the process.
Ertheia cannot use this service.
Players who have Hero status cannot apply for this service.
If you have a Healer Dual Class with existing Pomander items, then you cannot use this service.
Items in the inventory stay with the Main character.
Dual Class skills on the Main character are reset and certificates are deleted.
After using the service, the Dual Class quest will need to be completed again.
Juji (or Casey) let me ask a question, bc im a lil lost here, let me start with a clear example.
My brother has Iss Dominator main and Yul Saggittarius Dual, but he ended up hating the iss dominator class, so heres my question, if he uses the dual to main service... can he cancel iss dominator "dual" then? and do another one? or he can't do that with this service?

He can't, it's a split off your dual class into a new char so he would end up with a Domi ISS that has no dual classs and another char of same race etc. with Sagi as main but with no dual/subs or any bound gear etc. from the original char.

question : Elf yull has kept skills : rapid shot +rapid fire from the third class.
if change race, the old skills will be saved ? I mean the rapid shot +raid fire, will stay on new race too ? so the 3d skills will be saved ?
OR any change will take place ?? For example rapid fire (since we talk about elf race ) will be replaced by dead eye (if new race is Dark Elf) ? or deleted and get the awaken quick fire ?

Actually, this isn't new. Some of us already have characters that have the original base stats from one race, but the class skills of another. For example, I have an Orc Sigel Knight with all of the original base stats (STR, CON, etc.) of an Orc. This happened back during one of the major Awakening updates when players were allowed to pick whatever class they wanted to play, but keep the same racial stats. So the new Race Change service will actually help balance out things for everyone who wasn't around to take part. It's a good thing.
Of the two new services, I think the Race Change will be purchased the most. People are always looking for an advantage.

stats will still be mage. yes, slightly better then others but not significant compared to way you described.
just like now, if you have Orc Tyrr (fighter) main, and wynn dual, wynn on dual class will have stats of orc MAGE, but looks of orc Fighter.

That's actually not correct. IF you have tyrr orc main and u get a wynn dual, u will get base stats of the wynn race u chose, not orc mystic base stats for wynn dual :)

are you sure? cause my dual cardinal on my dark elf wynn, has stats of dark elf mage, and my eva saint dual (light elf) does has orc mystic stats on my iss doomcryier main.

take Iss for example, human and orcs have mystic looks, but fighter stats.
my Iss orc, looked like mystic but had fighter stats, and when I went tank dual class stats were still orc fighter, but looks of orc mystic. and now that iss orc has eva saint on dual class, and it has orc mystic stats, not orc fighter.
unless there will be a bug in race change, It would be expected to act same way. If on my Dark Elf Wynn I would change to orc fighter, I will have orc mystic stats, but orc fighter looks.
tl;dr:
if you take orc mystic looks, on a fighter char (tyrr,othel,iss,yul,sigel) you will have orc warrior stats, and on mages (wynn,feoh,aoere) you will have orc mystic stats.

You will have orc mystic stats same as orc mystic with tyrr class would get orc warrior stats (146% info :D)
Race Change service can only be usefull for creditcard pvp warriors that need extra stats from other races.
Better focus on creditcard pvp warriors that need not only a creditcard to pvp but also run many scripts to win a fight somewhere on the map.
At the moment debuffs are useless because the chain cancel of autohealers.
Make debuffs usefull again.
Also autoiss that inmediately rebuff after some buff steals are kinda moronic.
Better focus on some solutions for real problems in this game.

tbh these skills wont give u the winning edge anyway, u might look stronger and cooler and balabal but at the end its all about i hit u harder then u did gf u died. this attack speed wont matter

Some people like Rapid Fire over Quick Fire, because you can set the buff and forget it until 20 minutes later or whatever, instead of constantly having to trigger it. Everyone plays differently the way they like.

Juji mentioned in an earlier post that he's looking into it. I imagine it will take some time before the decision makers get back to him, but it's great that Juji has all of our comments backing him. We want the main>dual swap or something similar, not the splitting of main into two separate characters with items staying on the old, discarded character. We may have to start a grassroots campaign and bombard NCSoft's corporate headquarters with our demands, err, I meant our humble requests. :)

you will have same stats if you had dwarf main and made mystic dual class on him. a dwarf mage stats.
if I remember correctly , they are similar to orc mystics, so lower wit,int when compared to humans/elves, higher str and con

No to Dual class separation. I'd prefer a dual to main (and consequently main to dual) service.
Some questions for clarification (which may alter my opinion):
- Since it was not specified, would the dual class be in the same account as main?
- Quest items? One time quests?
If i change my human wizard into an Dark Elf, can i choose face, hair and color ?
I don't whant to go to beauty shop to pay again because my char is ugly.

Priest of Mammon (spawns with the Trader & Blacksmith of Mammon) sells the old Face/Hair potions for like 96k each so just go check Rune/Giran/Aden when that happens :)

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo , So Kamael have all armor's from No-grade to S-grade bugged and also we can't even change race to Kamaels . Explain why we can't do this
Been waiting patiently for this and now it's changed to a split service.
I don't have space and won't delete a high level toon just to split off when I lose my name and everything I worked for on my dual.
It's faster and cheaper to reroll my Dual with a similar name, pass most of it over.
Supply and demand - offer both services - give your customers what they want, after all we are the ones paying for it.
It's such a simple process, put the Stones of Destiny back in offering a straight Dual to Main swap.
I wont be spending a penny now but will make a new toon with a similar name and I bet Adena on it that I have my Level 100 Healer with 100 desired dual before this service comes in.
If I had done this back in Dec/Jan when it was announced it would be coming TBA I would be where I want to be by now. The only ting I lose is my cute little Dorf looks but I can live with that.
