I am still catching up with L2. I am just a bit confused with stuff don't eat me.
What is the point of choosing a race/class if at the end everything becomes same and I lose my race/class specials?

I don't get it. someone explain. I wanted to make Kamael Doombringer and ... wait he just becomes a warrior when awakened, loses special skills, weapons, what the hell.

Each Awakened Class is still "unique" as it keeps some of it's 3rd class skills. For example, a Tyrr Titan keeps Frenzy, Guts, Rage, etc where as a Duelist keeps Tripple Sonic Slash, etcetera. So there are variations anyways.

Also, you will always keep your racial stats. For example, if you are a Dark Elf and you make an Tyrr dual class, that dual class will have DE stats.
well the point of awaken is to play the actual game....
what is really pointless is the game from 1 to 85... is almost stupid...

but ncsoft sometimes do pretty stupid things... (actually they always do...)

one example is all those skills that you "keep" are not really the original skills....
they invented new skills similar to original ones, for awaken jobs... but they also changed the old skills on the no-awaken jobs... i guess just to have some consistency in the skill progress...
Dominators pretty much become Sword Singer,Blade Dancer and Prophets after they Awaken. They lose most of their animations and make it look like you just subclassed one of those other classes. Can't just heal yourself like before 85. Now you have to target yourself or others it looked like. So yup it wasn't really thought out good.

No point in 2 Orc Mage classes and 2 Orc Fighter classes when they become the same thing again after 85. So they should have thought this out better.
Dominators remain clan wide buffers and healers. Yes their buffs are the same as all other Iss when awakened. HOWEVER, they can buff the entire clan regardless of party status. This includes dances.

Furthermore, all classes variations get unique skills again at levels 99, 100, and 101. These abilities help to provide further distinction between the various subsets of the different meta classes. I.E. Iss (Meta Class) Bladedancer (subset) vs Iss (Meta Class) Hierophant (subset)

dominator still can buff whole cl :) +have cp increase buff for cl, and tyrr gk and tyrr titan are realy difrent clases first of all pasive weapon mastery second tidan have his frenzy rage guts (dont know if have more unique skills), and gk have more stances like wolf or feral cry also he have his fist of fury, and from 101 all tyrs get difrent new skills so yes they are similar but not the same.
