It's my pleasure to introduce Yaviey as Lineage II's new Community Coordinator.
Starting this week, she'll be catching up with current issues and working on all of the posts and other duties you had typically seen from me. She's been a Lineage II player and fan for many years, so she'll definitely be able to support you all moving forward.
I'll still be around in limited capacity as Yaviey gets settled, but please direct questions, concerns, and feedback to her. I know she'll be excited to hear from you!
Thanks for the warm welcome, BusterCasey! I'm thrilled to be a part of the Lineage II community.
I originally started playing L2 back in 2004 and was a part of the role-play community at the time. I also had fun dabbling in PvP, sieges, and of course the ongoing bot battles. While my original character is long gone after the NCSOFT account changes that happened a few years back, I have started over and am still finding the game highly enjoyable (although it's a lot easier than I remember). It's amazing to me how beautiful the game still is, all these years later.
I look forward to getting to know you all better and keep you up-to-speed on upcoming Lineage II news and announcements, as well as make sure your concerns are heard by our team.
I'm so excited to be playing again. It's a lot of the old world I remember but also so much new stuff to check out, too. :D I also love that I finally have some new hairstyles and pretty dresses to choose from!

Buster seems to have gotten a promotion; his red title has been changed from "Forum Moderator" to "Community Coordinator". So I guess he is now dedicating his full energies to Aion, while Yaviey will be exclusively working for Lineage 2 (Buster or Yaviey, please correct me if I am wrong).
While I personally regret losing Buster to Aion - he was doing an excellent job cleaning up this forum - having an experienced L2 player specializing on only one game is also not bad. So welcome, Yaviey! Always remember, every player is a bad player, only a dead player is a good player. Kill them all! Wipe this forum clean!

Good response. Can Yaviey actually put what the store updates are ahead of time? For example tomorrow we know there will be new 1 nccoin items, hopefully something actually useful. There is ZERO reason why they can't be listed in the maintance notes.

Are you asking if I can personally remove bots from the game?
Are you asking me if I know that autotarget in PvP was removed?
Yes, bots are a plague on all MMOs (although, not just NCSOFT titles)
I do not know what you mean with the skill and no script vs. script. Are you talking about macros or something else? Can you please elaborate?

Hail, Yidao! I am on a few different projects but right now Lineage II is my main focus. Thank you for the welcome and I am happy to be here, although equally sad that Buster will not be here to help on L2 as much. He's really done a fantastic job so far.
Thank you as well for the kind welcome. I am not sure I share your feelings on killing other players as I am an elf (and not the dark elf kind) but certainly some stabbings are needed from time to time (or in my case wind and water magic). ;)

While it's true that it is of little consequence whether or not I've played L2 before. In some cases however, it does help being as passionate as you all are to make sure changes happen for the betterment of the game, plus I can help explain things a bit more from a player point-of-view. Hey Draecke, yes you correct, I'll be doing the server maintenance and announcements going forward. Again, it's my first week on Lineage II so I'm still getting up to speed on everything. We just had a meeting today to discuss Helios but I need some more info from the team before we can start sharing more. Definitely understand you are all excited and we want to make sure you're happy!

a captcher bot/player confirmation with question or sort of test would help i believe.
I believe we are looking at several different methods to help get rid of bots and this has come up but there are several things our team has to weigh before they can make any changes.

Buster and Vali before they never have played L2 and they never see how bots "****" our legit play. In many situation they even say the bots not exists and the is forbidden to talk for bots even w/o name or point to someone is bot. I hope the you are someone who ingame sure may see what is unlegit play may help for faster transfer of information to all who have privs as GM's. I hope the maybe you visit servers and remember some names then transfer that info to GM to he ban them if they are real bots. You say the play game and i'm sure the you know how is hard to play w/o active GM in server. HF with your new job ;)

As for Helios, etc. we've had a few meetings this week about them but nothing we can share yet. Just as soon as we're able to we'll let you all know, though.

and now.. i have a question for you.... i have been gone for a while and i started playing again... i was happy to see the new raidboss entry changes but i can not help it but wonder.... if a raid boss (balok/tauti/istina) has 7 members minimum requirement, why it still needs a command channel?
is this gonna change in the future? or we always have to brake 7 to 5-2 to make 2 pts to make cc to enter? it might be a detail.. since the job is done anyway.... but really help me understand why this rule exist :) thnx for your time.
Welcome Yaviey! Come to Zaken Talking Village and watch the thousands of orcs being created. Try to do the level 95 quest in SOS and you'll see the tons of wynns with similar bot names. Then you'll understand why people feel the way they do about NCSoft's inadequate response to bots. More importantly, you asked us to clarify about PVP scripters. Some players use third party programs to do their fighting for them. There is no way that those of us who use our hands to play can compete with the instant response of the programs. I admit I don't know much about the programs, because I've never used them. But I do know they ruin PVP for honest players who use their hands. Solving this problem is far more important than getting rid of the orcs & wynns. Good luck to you and I hope your stay here is a happy one.

As I've mentioned before, this week I'm still getting on-boarded on everything for Lineage II and I'm still getting a sense of what our efforts have been. I know that our team has been working on various methods for identifying botters/hackers as this is also a concern that has come up in Blade & Soul. One issue I know for a fact is happening is that since both games are free-to-play, it's very easy for botters to create new accounts almost instantaneously, so even if they get banned, they come back again and again. We are working with the Lineage II dev team very closely to try to find a better way to handle this and in fact have meetings with them in-person next week to discuss this further. It's a very serious issue that we're working to try to resolve.
Regarding scripting, I believe there is a bit of a language barrier between myself and some of you, so I apologize. Please be patient with me as I'm only trying to understand you so that I can better work with our team to resolving your issues.
I asked Juji a couple of days ago about transfers to Zaken and he said it will still be some time. Since the server is still so new, the team doesn't want to open it up yet and give the players there a chance to level up. I'll keep up with him regularly to find out when it will open up and then let you all know as soon as I can.

Tell juji anything less than 18 months is a mistake. It is so fast to level if people want to play on zaken they can make a tool. The two of warring sides are pretty balanced right now last thing we need is a swarm of 102+ bots.

Hi Stavento, I just checked with our team on your question. Apparently this is only an issue with Balok and this was designed purposefully so by the dev team to be this way. At this time there are no plans on changing it.
Thanks for the prompt and thorough reply. One other problem with the people using third party software to pvp (I just call them the scripters) is that, besides being very fast, the programs cheat. For example, I am routinely attacked when I'm in hide. Players can't see me but the programs can.
And I've heard (don't know if it's true) that they coordinate with one another. So that when one person is attacked, everyone in the party instantly attacks the same target back, far faster than any real person could do with an assist button or macro.
You are right that people making new bots instantly is a problem, but it might help if you concentrated on the higher level areas. Take out all the wynns in SOS and Harnaks every day and at least they will have to level up the replacements from scratch. And maybe us honest players could use those areas a bit.
One other idea. Set up a sting operation -- a site that would appear to be a rmt site advertised as the rmts do with shouts everywhere. Claim to undercut the price of the rmts. Then ban anybody who come to that site and attempts to make a purchase. Maybe if enough of their customers got banned, the rmts wouldn't have quite so large a customer base to keep them in business.
Most of the people on the forums just complain about the bot (every chance they get) but I'm sure if you asked you could get lots of good ideas from the people here. Is any consideration being given to a nominal pay-to-play charge, like, say, a one time $10 account set up fee? That would put a stop to the making thousands of accounts and wouldn't cost anything to the honest players who are already here.
Luczin must be playing a different Zaken. The truth is that NetflixnChill is more powerful than the rest of the server combined. I won't speculate as to the reasons for that. The only way to recover balance in the server, aside from Netflix splitting up, which seems unlikely, is to allow migration from other servers. No one can start up a character to compete with those guys, at least not honestly, without spending a fortune. Spend some time in Zaken and you'll see I'm telling the truth. Netflix constantly complains that they can't find PVP because it is hopeless for anyone to oppose them. Very few clans even try. Please pass this info (and this invitation to spend some time here) on to Juji, too.

No I play the right one. My ally (not netflix) controls all epics, with the exception of kelbiem. We have more heros than they do, I've lost count of how many of them have used Chaos essence to get hero because they couldn't beat our clannies/ally members in their first chosen class. Furthermore, they don't find pvp because they are fully scripted bots, so why bother to fight them? They are too weak to play with their hands, so they resort to being fully scripted. They couldn't take Aden from us for the first few months on the server, until they started mass assisting during sieges.

Rambling, Luczin have right for sure :). NonFactor alliance control dragons and most castles. War in Zaken was stopped for some reasons...first is ppl lvl up second reason is ppl who use scripts like radar and autotarget and the worst: "invalid target". Atm Zaken is preparing for the moment of server transfer. You cant mach a char 104-105 from Chronos with any char from zaken atm...
I cant understand why you ask so early allowing server transfer on zaken :) but, hell...mby you are 105 lvl full staked ppl and nothing to do on zaken but pvp.
Last, i can live with any farm bot population...they are not such a big problem(for me-i clean farm spot with my Wynn) . Using 3rd party software in pvp is killing the game and it is a very big problem.
I hope ppl with names like a great country will be banned :D We all know what kind of player he is. I guess NcSoft staff knows too...and also I guess money he spend in game can unlock everything.
