We’re finishing off the 12th Anniversary Celebration with a bang! The Letter Collector event is back and even better than ever, with completely revamped prizing. The event takes place from May 11 until May 26, 2016, although Angel Cat will stick around until June 1, 2016 to collect any letters from stragglers. Note that the pouches drop rate is higher between 18:00 and 02:00 (server time) than during other hours. Pouches will not drop from a monster that is 9 or more levels lower (dark blue) than the character that kills it.
We will have any higher drop rates between certain times like previous Letter Collector Events?
How many pouches can one player get? i was farming and i got 4 of each in less than 15min, than i kept farming in the same place and got no more drops? was it bad luck or 4 is the max?
About an hour after it went live I logged in for 10min and got 15 letter drops from white mobs, so I think you can chalk the bad luck up to the 'Random' drops :(
Well I can't complain about the drop rates...50 min in Harnak (before the bots came in :D ) I got around 80 pouches
and around 35 pouches in Fairies in less than an hour..
Go figure :rolleyes:

How is this game free to play, if free players can't participate on events? Keep going like this and soon server will be empty of real players and only top nc coins spenders + their horde of bots will remain here.

Not that I want to defend NC Soft, but what are the options?:
- Make RIIS drop at low rate: everyone yells BOT event
- Make RIIS Store item: everyone yells P2W
PS: You can buy those letters from other players with Adena or from Auctionhouse, no need to spend a single cent.
i understand that @Yaviey it is just an employee and is forced to do /say what has been told. But this guy/dude/or girl @Juji don't realize that he need 2 gms online every-time in every server to ban bots. Don't say that they do it , they are not doing it, don't say that can not be done, cose private server do it. The only one that real enjoy this kind of events are the one that own all bots in servers.

Just Boost the Drop chance for Field Letter Drops = more RIIS you will sell.
People farming the letters are happy = more RIIS you will sell = Everyone's happy = Problem solved! You're welcome! (just make sure reward chance is O.K. too, otherwise spenders will not be so happy! i.e. people who spend Adena for the event as well as Ncoiners.)
@DreamSeeker, this event doesnt offer anything new that the big spenders don't have already like years ago..
there are actually many decent events in Korea that would be good to have here but those are based on the HELIOS update and as such can't be used here without causing side effects like random crashes etc.
simple examples: everyone will enjoy the improved Red Libra event or the improved Freya Event <- those got boosted so good that there really will be something for every type of player
may be the drop again as before the update of lindviofail? because it is difficult for this game go ahead, just make more difference between the player with hands and scripters but abysmal.
will wait a while longer if you follow the same without drops I think it's time to stop playing and losing more time. I think not just me, many people.

So basically farmed with 200% drop rate rune for an hour or two and only got 15 pouches. The S/II/R pouches are priced at around 68 m based on adena/nccoin ration on Freya (625,000 p/e). So to turn in a single LINEAGEII you are basically spending 75 m - 80 m to receive what 500 soulshot/spiritshot, stage 3-5 soul crystal, and spirit stones... So I dumped some adena (approximately 2.7 b)

In my opinion the price on the S/II/R pouches are way over priced for the amount of small rewards under each category. Unless you considered 75 m for 500 blessed spirit shot or life stones a fair price.

On Chronos it's even worse.
Wednesday I got ~110 in 1hr of xp, yesterday I got ~30 in 1hr, and today I xp'd for about 4hrs and got 4 total (3 hours in party about 10 dropped in those 3 hrs).
Can any GM actually explain this?
Is it more likely to win the powerball with a single ticket than to see the GM's actually banning bots that can go 24/7 w/o consequences? Bots get all the event drops now, all 2-3 pouches/hr, leaving real players screwed because we don't have the ability to automate 24/7...

Because the price of the RIIS pouches sold in L2Store exceeds in a massive way the value of the prices of most prizes you can get in each type of word, and because the drop rate of the normal pouches is so low that is impossible to generate enough of them to try to get the RIIS from the event npc due to there ridiculous low exchange chance, (unless you are using bot programs, and even so i don't think it would be enough) no one will be playing this event because the amount of adena used to get any kind of random prizes will be higher then if you actually try to buy what you need directly.
Because of that, and now that most of the players already confirmed that, this event is now dead.
What i asked is if NCSoft plans to drop significantly the L2Store prices of the RIIS pouches making it reasonable to actually play the event or if it will keep it dead like it is?
Either way, it's a big disappointment all this situation. After the previous events were canceled, was hoping for a decent event from your part instead of a dead event like this one.
i confirme to much junk items on this event. dont lost your cash to get II - R - S. you will get :
95% of time scrap thing at 1-10m adena,
4% other scrap thing at 15-100m adena,
0.5% stuff about 150-250m adena,
0.4999999% stuff about 500m adena.
0.0000001% i still dont see it
about 300 try... yes i can get addick sometime!!

Since it's obvious that prices for event items will not change in the L2 store, Juji please consider the following, if you want to save this event in the eyes of the players.
Make the exchange rate for pouches from Angel Cat NPC 100 percent, i.e. 30 letters = 1 special letter pouch without fail and extend the event for 1 more week.

I am also looking if ncsoft west TOS comply the Europeans and international trade law about and all this "events" that in real benefits only bots and force players to game (see definition of GAME") vs bots seems very suspensions with ncsoft the only one that get current world currency €, $ etc. Maby there is something there...

Let me offer a suggestion for future events like this, to let everyone participate and be happier:
- Make all letters drop from mobs with the same probability, so anyone can try some words, feel the joy of participation and get something in return. Good rewards should be rare, but even if someone gets soulshots as a reward, it will be for free, so no complaints.
- Sell a special letter in L2shop, let's say an exclamation mark "!", so that someone can turn in a special word like "NCSOFT!" that will increase the probability of a better reward. No complaints here as well.

Applies event Letter Coll****rs. On 18.05.2016r. a. after 18:00 GMT + 1 bought 20 bags of scribbles RIIS that opened. Unfortunately, all were obviously empty. Gentlemen Administrators shame that players cheat. It should be indicated that the chance of these letters varies from 0% to 5%, with an indication of 0%
