If you have money to support total other setup of other class you may play w/e you like or if you have cp or clan may play clas what they need if they have dagger already.
From other hand dagger use L set/stun jewel. you may pick clas who use stun (tyr or tank) or clas who use L set (yul, wyn). You may be iss also but will be hard to survive... for healer/Feon you need instead weapon you not may use also armor and jewel... so pick well for be more economic in your future...

Well idk what you think with "hard to use for main class" but i may tell you the main <> dual not have any connection as classes. Connection is only dual/sup skills who are passive and you may get no mater what class you have.
That what im ISS mean the I use same jewels from main but for dual have heavy set and r95 dualswords what sure I not use when I play main dagger class. I talk just for your adena balance. If you have adena to gear up dual proper there is no any problem to pick all what is possible. You may pick even dagger/dagger if you like BTW... main<>dual not have any connection as long ago when there was skills you you get form dual and use in main. Now all reinforcement skills are same for all classes and just you pick what you like to use.
Well here is why i told best dual is same class: convinience...
Second i told subclass to be anything, self explanatory already.. res ipsa loquitor.. you need only to max level it..

Well.. i play lineage 2 not very often as I reached 102 already.. things really got boring since i only log for oly and siege.. im an iss heiro on a dark elf female body with an othell dual.. used to be a tyrr but got me bored.. they say othell on this chronicle and on next chronicle will be a joke so I made one and disproved them.. traded my dark heavy set for light. Bought blessed r99 duals +16 and kaboom won coc... :D:D:D why i advise you to make othell wind rider dual is convinience.. when you change all your items with your main stays the same with your dual.. well if you want serious advice.. anything can be your dual provided that you have the budget for it.. :D:D:D
