Hello my fellow forum warriors,
Today, I'd like to talk about the Adena drops in Lineage2 and the Adena drop only. I've been doing a lot of thinking on how to make things better for both the lineage2 players and the NCsoft; and I believe this is probably the most easiest and the effect way to revive the game.
What I propose is the gradual Adena inflation in Lineage2 and also changing the Max adena per character to 1000B, instead of the current 100B(99,999,9999,999 to be precise.)
What will this do?
1. People will have more and more adena over time so the gear prices will go up and up. People will enjoy making OE weapons and armors. All lineage2 items will be in high demand cuz item price can only go up and up. Everybody will buy and everyone will be rich.
Right now, all lineage2 servers are in the state of constant adena shortage, making item trading very hard and time consuming. I got +12 weapons and +8 sets that I need to sell to get the gears that I need and there are people who want my gears; but I don't have Adena and they don't have adena and what they got is something that I don't need....LOL Some people get so frustrated that they even sell their +12 Bloody/+12 dark weapons like 40-50% cheaper than the usual price...With Adena drop being so low, who's gonna make OE weapons now? Right now, people are getting Lesser Giant Armor stones(800Ncoins) only because they know about the +10 set effect in the upcoming Helios patch. Other than that, I don't think people will be getting Lesser giants or play L2 promos and events like they used to, cuz...even if they win the 1st prize from the event, they are not gonna be able to sell it. Who's gonna buy any item when they know they will lose money?
For me personally, I've stopped buying Lesser giants or play Nstore events
in hugh scale simply cuz I already got too much stuff to sell and even if I win the 1st prize, I won't be able to sell it.
2. Higher or Lower Adena drops got nothing to do with Bots.
Some people fear that higher adena drop will only promote botting. Well, let me tell you, Adena drop and botting are two totally different things. why?
If the adena drop increases by 10 times then the Adena price will be 10 times cheaper...it doesn't change anything really. Botting is some other problem that NC needs to deal with and increasing the Adena drop will change nothing for the current botting situation in Lineage2.
3. Although there will be gradual item price inflation, new comers or returners of lineage2 will be able to afford basic gears that they need until they are LvL 99 and figure out the game. Some NCsoft official may ask me, why should they get free stuff until LvL 99? Well, here is why. Cuz the longer people play their character, the more affection and attachment they will have for their character and will be far more likely be a Ncoin spender later. Right now, all you are doing is scaring them away even before they are high level.
Also for every 10 x casual none paying player you lose = 1 x Ncoin spender you lose, cuz whether a player is a Ncoiner or not, s/he is a somebody's friend and when all their friends leave, Ncoiners will leave, too...
P.S. Please note I didn't discuss about item + Matt drops here. This is something that we will need to discuss later.
