We're aware of issues currently causing disconnects for many players following this week's maintenance (http://boards.lineage2.com/showthread.php?t=289047). After further investigation, we believe we've pinpointed the cause and have requested for a hotfix to be applied by the development team.
We don't yet have an estimated time frame for implementing a hotfix to address the cause of these disconnects. We'll provide additional updates via @L2andAionOps (https://twitter.com/L2andAionOps) as soon as we have more information. In the meantime, we appreciate your reports and patience.
At least we know these updates aren't tested on a "non-production" server prior to pushing them out for release. Instead, you just release it and cross your fingers hoping things work out.
You should allow players 5 minutes to re-enter any instance b4 it closes. I soe'd to change class b4 killing Kalios and my box DC, closing the instance. Now I have to re-run it hoping (like an idiot, no doubt) that it doesn't happen again!
it looks like even when you are boxing you get DC'd...tried boxing (one vendor/one hunting) and i get DC'd all the time...but when i logged just the vendor so i can go eat and do some erands it was never disconnected...tried just one client on while hunting and was never disconnected for 2 hours...so my guess is bots/box will be disconnected!

i take that back, I started getting disconnected even with just one client running.
bots are gone (orcs and adena spammers, zr and pvp bots are still ingame cheating).
ncsoft tried to solve. good job.
and small hint for jason - make pts server again and you can test whatever there before you again mess with update.

For me yesterday i had one DC on main account but had many problems on ISS account and maestro and eviscerator suffered the same yet my rogue had no problems.
This first made me feel like it is character specific perhaps.
Shut down pc and slept, now today started up pc, loaded L2 up and i can't even keep my main logged in at all.
Seems it is not character specific but more a roll of the dice or some background update (for gameguard perhaps to attempt to address this issue?) that i did not get before or just totally random on every computer reboot.
If you do not suffer DC's don't log off / shut down pc since after i did that i started having this issue that's all i can say.
Best update on server since god launched. Finally no more bots in game. I can level up free in all areas. Ty ty ty. And about dc i didn't get any dc so if you get them better don't dual box or don't use bot programs cause server is running better than ever now. No more bots no more lag.:)

Something similar happened to me. Was in K95 duo (with dragon buff) with my ISS friend. Before end she needed to change to dualclass so she went out. She DC. I was inside running in circles around Kalios. After few minutes she log back - I saw in clan chat annoucment. Absolutely same time I saw that info I got DC. So when I got back we were out both. I had no energy to start it again, was so angry...
Edit: and yes no change today even I did everything what guys from support wanted me to do. btw disabling everything on my laptop really cant help maybe disabling some non brainers in dev team could do it.
HA, look i just log in today for first time and got dc after few min in-game (i play only with 1 client). But last night, after juji said "we made little fix" i played for almost 4 hours without dc and then i log off, before that i got 4 dc's.
Looks like the system target randomly a player and kick him till he got tired to log in again and somehow it missed me. :D
This is absolutely intolerable! Can't even complete a K99 Kama without getting d/c numerous times. My party wanted to do Atelia fort, Tavern and Gludio instance today but could not because every toon in party d/c more than once just doing Kama.
The easy way to fix this problem would be to reload the previous version of Gameguard until the new version is fixed.

So wellcome to the new nc servers where bots are not allowed and sorry if you paid for bot programs and now you can't use them :(

Not fixed yet and Korea has already had a full work day since the problem started. No less than 15 DC's on my accounts since I got home and I'm on the same time zone a Korea. On a good note I didn't see any Bots in SOS. They may just be tired of all the DC's.

Like I said before. You are naive if you think the GG update will do anything about the bots. Been playing since the beginning and the bots will always be here. Every single bot could all be banned at this very moment. You'll see new ones again botting in the same spot as you've seen them before within a week.

So the moral of the story for today is sounding pretty simple. If I logg in later I can expect to see the bot's all over the place like normal and I can expect to get the same DC's from yesterday today. So basically they are still working on a fix for the DC stuff from yesterday? Also the bot stuff basically had no effect on the Adena sell shops or Adena shop spam mail from what it sounded like was posted?
Why don't they just apologize to us now and tell us they plan to leave servers off, while they get a lot of stuff fixed prior to the Helios update? That's the best solution since they decided to post the Helios is coming soon news. But that's just my opinion on what would be a good way to deal with the DC's from yesterday.

Second off, here's a newsflash for you: the "new players" you were talking of, they are already joining the servers! Here's a screenshot I took in Rune just a few minutes ago: there they are, already up and ready for action.
check how in naia,freya and chronos in really few time (around 1 hour) +800 bots log same time on each server...dream over and still disconects :cool: bots from zaken seems log later xD just +200 increse in this time.
Well the bots are still in game so looks like the celebrating was way to early. DC's are at a minimum for some now though so thanks. Like we said it was just a matter of time before they worked around whatever game guard update supposedly happened.

I'm using only one client on my entire network and I'm still getting d/ced. What is funny is yesterday when I was boxing this character was the only one that never d/ced.
NC should give no xp loss while they are trying to fix prob. Disconnect means xp loss for many people unless they are afraid of Server not coming up after reboot :P
This is aweful, 200% rune getting wasted with d/c issues while soloing and duoing K99, getting 200b xp instead of 500b. 50% xp extension was awesome. To bad we cant use it.....No more spending money on Ncoin. :mad:

this GG update at least scare bots, because there is no one in the Sea of Spores but the server is a bit empty (and I mean very empty :rolleyes:) there is not enough people in server so I hope you give us another week of the Letter Collector Event to sell the event items.
Putting a sell/buy shop is impossible for the DCs. NCSoft start moving and do your job, you aren´t the only MMO out there remember that.

For people saying the numbers increased, sadly it is just the bots logging in again as there are piles of them doing their usual run.
This just keeps getting worse rather then better every update.
Anyone can confirm if the crash problem still exists, since it is hard to know if it does since can't even remain connected for more then 5-10 minutes no matter when only using a single client or 2 or 3 clients.
Now on top of that we also get to suffer with the disconnects making the game unplayable since you wont know when it hits and often has the tendency to hit at the worst timing possible.
I never minded the glitchy game after a update when the game has to handle 100's if not 1000's of clients being updated and logging back in, it happens and is understandable.
Problems like this however with such a broad scale need someone on top of the issue not just with a 1 time off notice of "we know" but with status updates.
Even if you update us with telling you have not yet received a hotfix for the problem but still on top of the issue people would be calmed down much more knowing your dealing with it and not just biding your time for whenever it comes.

2 late. The EU server it's almost empty and u have to use chrome as your browser if u want to start the game ... when it starts. If u want to use a box on Core u have to pay for a premium acc. etc. etc.
This game is just broken atm at least on the official servers eg. Naia.
100 orc new bots x hour with a mentor since the very beginning=at least 30 85+ ertheia bots as their mentor with 3 mentees slots each.

Just think about it in this perspective in real life almost everyone can afford a car but if you want to race with your car you need to invest and spend on getting a good car and upgrading its parts same is applied in this game you wanna become a competitive player in-terms of PvP and probably PvE as well you gotta invest money. but for the most part I do agree that this servers is not newbie friendly since that its 100% impossible to catch up to end game players if you're not gonna spend a lot of real life money so improving the drop rate of items will be a good start.

True. Don't know how things are going on Freya but i speak for zak, naia and chr where I have toons. The economy has simply gone mad. Check on Core 1 sec while testing Helios. eg. tauti weap 4 bill vs 11 on here; radiant brooch 1 bill there 4 bill here. It's impossible for a lvl 95 to catch up the actual 101s in here only because they sell what they have [eg. kelbim] to themselvese or others like them [their clanmates] for an insane amount of adena [pixel money :P].

I was downloading another MMO and I'm playing now, so already more than 4 hours and had no disconnections, with both games at the same time :cool:

Me defending the wynns in Fairy? lmao if you're gonna spread some rumors about me make sure its actually believable since I haven't been logging in freya nowadays since I'm mostly spending my time playing dota 2,CS:GO etc and if I actually wanna play L2 I'm logging in L2 Core but go on amuse me and next time you see me defending a bot anywhere make sure you do a screenshot cause right now you are making a fool out of yourself :P. and if you're playing for 1 year+ and you still have that kind of gears you should reevaluate yourself and consider quitting :D

If NcSoft wouldnt made that event you still play with apocalipse weapon, and for your info too...that event was 1 tm only...and mby i start to play after event or i was sick during the event. Mby they will bring Red libra 2...but its a big MBY.

I don't know if this helps you, but I noticed that dc happens every 30 minutes. If you get lucky enough you will dc at 31 minute and gain the activity flag.
This issue also prevents clan members to gain the activity flag necessary for Teamwork Buff.
i got DC on different time today and yesterday. With clan and without clan. I got DC yesterday almost on all 7 registrations of CoC. It's realy random.
today i did 2 group kartias without DC and got it on 5 min in solo after return one hour late ( with new window)

Because if that was yesterday, then I got the update (GlobalVersion=96) and it didn't change situation by a single iota.
Same disconnects, with just a single client.

The new anti-bot is still in last stages of preparation. There are a few things we need to roll out with first before it is fully implemented. It does not "work" the same way as GameGuard.

Yeah, still having frequent disconnections. Seems like the easiest way to fix this problem would be to just undo the server maintenance done on Wednesday. Things worked fine on May 24th and before.

I told you before, the DC issue started on monday night/tuesday morning, so it might not be related to the GG update at all.

I dc at least 2 times after that suppose ISP outage during tuesday. (total 3 times) Was that related to the outage? If yes then i guess they were 2 separate issues.

I have exactly the same situation (I was actually originally checking for LinkedIn).
One account I use for the official lineage 2 forums was flagged in the Wildstar data breach, although I've never played Wildstar or used their forms. I have noticed however that when you log in on this site it is verified through a number of servers including a Wildstar one.

The bots don't even run GG so it makes no real difference.
I thought that GG might be disabled as starting Lineage 2 didn't result in Eve being killed like normal. For whatever reason GG doesn't like eve to be running when lineage 2 starts up. Best I can figure is that GG is unhappy about the window management tool I use for eve (which CCP allows and has a developer working on).

Ty Juji for the last night fix since then I do not have dc.
I like that we take a lot of new things like helios update,new anti bot etc,etc ,but would be very healthy and profitable for ncsoft as a company if you take into consideration my suggestion of not having perma ban.
There always happens different mistakes and your customers will feel safe for the money they invest in game that they can not loose it.If players know there is no perma bann they will invest more.You can make banns 2 weeks then if player make something agains the rules another 2 weeks etc etc.

On Freya from 3 hours i haven't seen anyone to get DC, before this i was sleeping. Maybe it's your connection or probably the server went down for 5 min and you didn't saw, so you thought it's just DC

25, 26 May - all 9 accounts from my party(different countries) had few random d/c during 2 hours of playing.
27 May - 9 accounts - zero d/c, looks like ok for me.

Im enough closer to Muru to tell this (and swered enemy of Max to knoe i wont lie since Burncycle is not my best friend lol) as CP leader, they farm as crazy ....maybe more than healthy ...many time in game.
Most of raids in the map are dead by them (open field) easy 2-3b adena or more at day besides power lvl 85-95 1 hour cost is 2b, but they have to eat, in the Pc for sure. Besides all the epics in CP.
This is all apart the eforce they do to gain the dragons in server (they doing SOS 101+102 for Next Helios)

We are looking into the Freya server crashes. I have disabled character creation on Freya temporarily this weekend. Apologies for the inconvenience.

I got crash during teleporting back to freya. I didn't relog and went to sleep. Too tired for me. I knew the reason of my incidents. Already submit a ticket. I hope GM can help me on this case.

Well now I just get the month long crash at Aden and that went to Bloody Swampland also now. I'm talking the full crash where the game want's you to send a crash report. Not the DC we were having.
I wonder if the game would run smoother if these folks would stop using 20 sell shops or more, while only playing 1 toon with a box? Overloading the servers with too many shops in Aden and Giran for example as well as the bots could be a reason the servers run like crap alot. It definitely explains why the server gets heavy.

That crash is due to White assassin appearance. It wasnt fixed as well.
Servers arent overloaded, NC just decreased the server limit without any word a month ago.

And about dc i didn't get any dc so if you get them better don't dual box or don't use bot programs cause server is running better than ever now. No more bots no more lag.:)

hi, i play on a laptop with windows 10. my game ran completely fine until this latest patch. now i cant even log in on my laptop. it get to the character select screen then theres a music glitch and my mouse pointer disappears entirely and neither mouse not touchpad work to select character or input my pin. I cant even back out of the game with alt+f4 or anything. I have to completely power down my computer with the power button to get out again. I have windows 10 and have all drivers updated as well as have reinstalled lineage 2 hoping that would fix it, ran a file check on lineage launcher all to no avail. any suggestions? my mouse works perfectly in any other program and had previously been fine in L2 before this latest "fix".

Reading this since 2009 when I started playing here
I've been hearing it since 2007 or so, but this is totally different. I'm not talking about the bot issue. I'm talking about them outsourcing positions, not giving Juji an assistant (the first producer in L2 history I believe to not have an assistant). Not to forget this mobile gaming division, which I'm sure will be a total failure, but they clearly don't believe that.
