That was the biggest criticism of the last red libra is that people now have main classes that they no longer utilise and would be good to switch them to dual and then change them up.
a detection system, if made well, could work well like in online poker. the bots there follow certain patterns and bots also do things timing wise that impossible for a human to simulate. big poker sites use detections systems similar HOPEFULLY to the system L2 would implement.
if time/money was put into this and its functions properly AND gms actually ban users of ranger it would be insanely good.
ill believe the PvP ranger removal when i see it. Til then people blatently use ranger in pvp.
My sentiments exactly. We've been hearing about this for months, and when it finally DOES get integrated, I give it a week until a work-around has been found. Nothing will change and those that have used such programs will continue to do so.

Why not cancel Red Libra #1 and make it Red Libra #2, 14 days right after Helios goes Live as Update Celebration in June? I think it's totally worth it as compensation for all the troubles we have had last few weeks.

But the work of Helios isn't the same of a new (repeated) event, they already have the files for that, pretty sure they don't have the files for Red Libra 2, since it took them so long to get the Helios build.

You can't do any exchange with Bloody/Dark weapons like the last time.

Helios Update,Red Libra and Race change are all something to look forward to yes but this Detection for third party tools is a serious matter and is the last draw in fighting against bots mind you this thing has been promised ever since early this year and just imagine it took them 5 months to actually finish it and release it and if the 3rd party tools still works after a few hrs,days or lets say a week there's really no point to actually to look forward to those "events" and updates.

I see that people have a problem with reading comprehension, you have clearly written that will :Ddetect:D and does not :(block:( 3rd programs.
i think that is fine, as long as detect = they will ban, let em run the 3rd party programs as much as they want so they will be detected and banned, if they arent able to use the program with it being blocked they cant be detected. i have said that many times in TS, i dont want them to block it i want them to see who is botting and ban them. blocking it means theres no way to see who is using it.
This night (EU time) we had ppl online like never this year. I also saw auto orc shamans around more then usual.

Back to log-in numbers, see how in most servers (chronos, zaken, freya) the night going population took over the playing population on prime time.
Also see the peak of decrease population, on all servers at 12 EU time today

2. not every tool of this nature is malicious.
It is up to GM to assess your gameplay behavior, and if behavior is suspicious, the detected interference of 3rd party tools will just add to the resolution.
Though, given current bot infestation, no detection is necessary at all, behavioral analysis alone will be sufficient to autoban every last bot shaman in existence with 100% certainty.

Because it obviously isn't ready to be rolled out now. And even if it was do you honestly think it'll work as we all would like to hope it will? I certainly don't. NCwest has cried wolf one too many times and I no longer believe anything they say. I haven't done anything since I got 103 six weeks ago. Don't want to. What's the use? My class is dead and no jewels, levels etc. will fix that. I refuse to spend any more money on a game where it's pretty darn obvious that they no longer care about their customers so don't even get started on rerolling. Lord only knows why I keep logging in, especially when I dc so many times within a 3-4 hour period it makes my head spin and ache. It most likely has a nostalgic connection and I keep hoping perhaps something will change, but it's come to the point where I don't see a light at the end of the tunnel. Sad because it once was such an awesome game. Why do people always muck up a good thing? Nvm, I know the answer to that question... GREED!

These freaking archers man and there +12 bows, will Heavenly Enchant Weapon R grade EVER get updated to go to +12 for mage weapon? Really do a test man, mage weapon +7 DARK (1h or 2h) on yul class (any race) with +8 dark armor and jewels Linvior, Blessed Antharas, Blessed Valakas, Tauti and Earthworm. And see the Damage. Then take a +12 DARK Bow on any mage class (any race) with +8 dark armor, all same jewels and see the difference in damage -.- Really at least give us mages a "Slight" fighting chance. Those Heavenly scrolls NEED to be update to go +12 on Any weapon. And still at +12 you can check the damage, still terrible but it gives us mage players enough hope to keep playing our class. Look at your database, 80% of the Dds in this game are yuls -.- . Look at All youtube videos of 7 v 7s - Pt setup usually 1 tank, 2 healers, 1 iss, 3 yuls -.-. Give us a bone man. This game is 12 years old everyone. Bots have Plagued this game before it was even released here by NcWest. they mostly come from korea and south america.
every year we get a major update. and every year there has been major lag and disconnects that proceed it.

I've been playing since C3 so I'm not exactly new to all this crap. I've just about had my fill of it after tolerating it for so long. I can deal with the rmt bots. It's the pvp scripters that I'd like to see banned, but hey, we know that'll never happen, and so do they.

This. They don't care about us mages, besides it doesn't matter how over-enchanted a weapon is it makes little difference, our damage is still crap. I've got a +13 bloody. It was dark when I got it but changed it cuz it wasn't doing me any good. People say we're getting a boost in this next update. Perhaps, but it still won't be enough.

The PvP Bot programs that most are exploiting is'nt as old as this Title
i'm guessing mainstream use has been going on for about 6 years now.
I am aware that NcSoft is taking Legal action against these third party programers , thank goodness for that.. but like you i don't see it stopping.
most of these people using these programs also Scam,lie, and accept no accountability for their actions, (ask em if they Bot) they are'nt going away.

Here's an idea for the anti-bot. After it detects someone using a 3rd party program, make the toon dance the macarena and go purple. Don't allow the owner any control and make them essentially pinatas for the kill.

ive always felt like NCsoft COULD stop the botting and scripting, but chooses not to.
Servers that are private with ~5% of the funding seem to stop them. or at least if they do bot or script, they are banned forever.

Mages need force fields. Wind, Fire, Dark...don't care what kind. Maybe all. And then add to that +10 for Heavenly Scrolls and better enchant weapon odds with normal enchants.

It's time to bring things into balance, but just know that in doing so, some other "lesser" classes will be upset. In the meantime, do the smart thing and take advantage of the Red Libra event to make or buy a +12 or higher fighter weapon and turn it into a +12 or higher mage weapon. It won't stop mages from being squishy, but at least you'll be more cannon than glass.

I clearly remember that around 1-1.5years ago mages were dominant. a name that comes to mind was jackiepaper.

I did a test in Atelia with a +7 blessed apoc retri and my +14 bloody retri, my standard hits were generally the same around 3k, but my crits went up from 8kish to 15kish. Not nearly a big enough difference considering the price difference of those two weapons.

I have not bought nccoin since March, when it became apparent to me the game will be shut down soon, and they will never get rid of bots. If people still want to give money to this company, they are responsible for ncsoft not getting rid of bots/pvp scripters, and they deserve to be insulted.
Edit: to be clear, anyone who has bought nccoin or continues to buy is part of the problem. We can either continue to do the same behavior like lemmings, and hope for a different result, or we can be smarter and not make the same mistakes.
I did a test in Atelia with a +7 blessed apoc retri and my +14 bloody retri, my standard hits were generally the same around 3k, but my crits went up from 8kish to 15kish. Not nearly a big enough difference considering the price difference of those two weapons.

And yet at some point I think everyone eventually would "upgrade" to the Bloody weapon. After a while you start making more adena in game than you need. It gets harder and harder to keep that +7 Blessed Apoc, even though it works for your purposes.

I got 3 SLS drops doing the SOS daily this week. (It's kind of like hunting in the Swamps and getting Zubei gaiters drops every day.) Please tell me you plan on improving the drops by a wide margin. It makes no sense for level 95+ mobs to drop C grade crap all of the time. Would it hurt to have mobs drop S80 and Requiem full items more frequently?

You can apply this to PvP too..feoh sucks hard hiting x4 less than a yul after next update where his counter instinct 101 skill got nerfed...both with same items/buffs vs healer with same pdef/mdef.
Juji, please tell us when we can expect full Patch notes Helios? Before update or together with Helios, 29 june?
I know some systems wich have on the Korean servers, are not installed on NCWest servers.Either a few days before or the day of the update. Most of the patch note information was posted in the preliminary patch notes. I will touch up on the faction system and fishing changes a bit more in the final notes.
I need to confirm a few more details with our teams here first, but we are targeting 6/29 for the Race Change Service.

Want to add a few more questions atop of these. Could be dumb. With the race change thing, the race stats will be changed as well? or the character appearance changes only while keeping the original stats of the character? Like going from dwarf > elf, dwarven stats are kept, while the character looks like an elf?
I pressume the Ertheias will be an exception to this service?

This was already answered before by Juji and yes you change racial stats as you become a new race after all ;)
and yes Erthia is excluded, can't remember properly but I think there's also some restriction with the Kameal race tied to their unique dual class

he told us its coming soon thats all we need to know to be honest as if he told us when and what they were doing the botters could prep for it so just hold your horses

In Korea the level limits for ppl in party were changed at some point. (it was not included in any patch notes, so no one is sure when they changed it)
In korea there's no penalty on a 9 or 10 level difference (now is 6 levels) and 1/3 XP to 14 levels difference. (here is 9 or 10?)

That will probably be part of the "Grand Crusade" update, unless they plan on coming out with another update with some of the stuff that was added from Helios to Grand Crusade
Japan has gotten Helios on April 13, those extra new stuff like the improved eternal armors or the ultimate brooch event came several weeks after that so let's not jump to any conclusions if none of that is part of tomorrows update shall we ? ;)

bump, also expecting a final commit date on the Racial Services and I sincerely do recommend an XP boost type of event as well as so far Helios XP is mucho worse then the previous update.
