assuming gamegaurd can be updated to remove all of the pve bots so that truly legit players like axel are free to play in an environment that reasonable game play success is possible in , there is the problem of of how to remove the gold that literaly millions of botters have collected for 12 years so that new players will be able to buy items without them being marked up 6 thousand percent .
the only way to do it is to remove ALL of the gold and set older players gold to 10 k so they are able to move about and start farming from scratch .
it doesnt matter if any player has farmed for 12 years or not .
it will be interesting to see what the mart looks like when newbies can afford to buy a new pair of boots on thier first day .
there simply cannot be any players that can afford to buy out the entire mart in order to force players to have to buy illegal gold just to get said pair of boots .
have a better idea ? i want to hear it and i dont want to hear leave the gold in game because i want to play and you can bet i want to buy that pair of boots . it will make me happy ...
lol , thank you for pointing that out , but i am afraid you just wont have that much inventory space , and there is another small problem with that ,stock pile the wrong thing and you may find youself in trouble as gms will be checking for that sort of thing .

Here is how I have more adena then you ever will. I support this game that I have played for 12 years. I open my wallet and gamble during these events. I just spent 100 bucks and sold 14 abundance boxes. 10 bill later. That is adena earned without cheating. Why on earth would ncsoft bite the hand that feeds?

Imagine how many bots exist . If you give to every bot 10k ( for every player 200 bots at least ) . This makes trillions of adena just thrown in game for free . the bots will no longer exist , anyone with beyond a reasonable ( humanly playable ) amount of accounts and or toons would be deleted before hand by machine . that meens if you have more than 3 accounts and over 30 toons you may be subject to total deletetion and or ip blocked permanently .

If I buy 100$ of nccoin and then buy 16 abundance boxes and easily sell them at 450 mill a piece that's like 7 bill I make in 5 mins. Why should that gold be reset?
the gold should be reset because a 10 gold dagger costs 2 mil in the auction house , and 7 billion isnt even enough to buy a decent low level staff or even 1 piece of gear , and because you can make 7 billion gold in 5 minutes because the botters have that much gold .
in other words its called the ingame economy , and lineage2 needs one and it has to be a good one if you want the game to continue or progress .
you ask to reset gold from players...I belive you are thinking about a "denomination". That is a macro-economic action when curency, in our case adena, rich too high lvls. I agree with that, no item in game should cost 70-80 bil adena.
But complementary Ncsoft should make this denomination for np items, craft items(eg. dualswords), augument and remove augument,gatekeeper fee, etc.
Overall i think it will be a good thing...but i doubt they will do it :)
Its l2 it`s not WOW and no we don`t have any gold if you play the game at least adapt to currencies...
Inflated prices are set by bots and it will adjust automatically once the demand
drop.
Bilions of Adena are being collected by botmasters as such prices should never exist in the first place cause you wont be able to collect in a server where the drop is non existing for normal people when a minion can grab even 1k adena from the ground (automated toon can go non stop like this and at the end it will turn to bilions it just take time) (still will never understand why NC didnt locked the place in Garden of Genesis earlier by reducing the drops to average 50-200 adena as it was the main income for bots)

Well i'm not sure about what's going on in Korea but i really regret the time when L2 had a montly fee and that was all.
Now everytime u have to open your wallet to buy this and that and that again and again and again and again and again and again and again.
Thinking to another mmo it's like a company will pretend that u buy every singe bolt of your virtual tank. This isn't going to happen and I hope ncwest employers' families know it.
Personally I will re-join this game when Ncwest will make us pay for the virtual air our toons will be breathing in a boss' room cuz the other places will be reserved to the bots; as usual :D
the gold does not have to replaced with the same adena . someone mentioned useing traceable gold . i can not even begin to imagine how much bandwidth this would use . one thing im sure of is that it wont make the game run better, unless you consider what wont be running .
we should be open to the idea of changing gold types and switching to all marked gold .

This won't happen. The money from the L2Store is probably the only reason the servers are still up. Or have you not noticed there are 4 servers when they used to be 9?
Gotta sustain the development of the game somehow. The subscription model sustained the game but development was very incremental throughout c2-Interlude. The reason I quit was there was no new areas and stuff to do, eg. Schuttgart was just a copy of Goddard.
In WoW there's a similar inflationary problem (in WoD, making gold became ridiculously easy with garrisons, millions of gold instead of thousands) so in 7.0 they are introducing gold sinks - eg. mounts that cost 2mil gold. To illustrate how expensive this is, Gold cap in 6.0 is 1mil per char.
